so it seems MD-IT lies in its job postings (sm)

Every ad I've ever seen from MD-IT claims that compensation is based on testing and experience, and yet it seems that no matter what, the starting pay is the same insulting rate for everyone.

That's another one to add to my list of Places to Avoid - if they can't even be honest in their ads, I can't imagine what it would be like to actually work for them.

If you read down the postings some, you will see my postings--sm
as to the reason why. I do not have the time to restate what I posted just a few days ago. Just look for the Stentel postings and read them. thanks and good luck.
Lies, lies, and more lies. sm
I left a company that I'd been with for 6 years to go to work for All-Type. They lied and broke almost every agreement that was in my employment contract. You're NOT covered from day 1 on their health insurance. They expect you to do 5 times the work they tell you they expect. And their tech support is arrogant, argumentative, and worthless. And they care NOTHING about quality; only quantity. Plus they offshore probably 90% of their work, though they lie about that also. This was probably the worst work experience of my life, I'm sorry to say. Best of luck to you!
nothing but lies

believe half of what you see and none of what you read.  this has not been my experience whatsoever.  sorry there are people out there that try to ruin it for others.  perhaps this person was let go and misses the money, so this is his/her sweet revenge.  too bad, not true.

Lies lies lies
Filled out forms with personal health questions 3 times and still nothing. KS never paid a penny for insurance yet. Got an anon email between KS HR and insur guy. KS claims only 20 employees INSTEAD OF THE 500 to insur co for past couple years to avoid cobra and contribution. If your in the 401k better check your account. Several people waited 6 to 9 months for their own money to show up in their account after taken from their checks. THAT is not only shameful I think its illegal
Lies sm
they pay 0.65 cpl for editing.
Because not everyone is taken in by LIES.

The doctor doesn't trust it because he can see what NONSENSE it is and doesn't trust it not to cause a malpractice suit in the future.  Pure and simple.

VR is the wrong road to go down.

Lies
What really is irritating is the excuse that they are using for sending work overseas....to staff nights and weekends. Are you telling me 30-40% of the workload is going to be nights and weekends. And if this were true, US MTs would never have to work a night or weekend. Personally, I work both and actually like working them.

I am just absolutely disgusted with the lies.
They are made up of a web of lies....
They lie to get you to work for them, and then they consistently lie to you about raises, incentives, etc.  If I were you, I would keep looking elsewhere.....there are many companies that are hiring.......If you go with OSI, you won't stay long.
And herein lies the problem...
Unfortunately, our wages have lowered due to offshoring. One thing to keep in mind, which I have already told my relatives, when you go to the doctor or the hospital, tell them you do not want ANY part of your medical information being offshored, including dictation. Maybe this will put an end to offshoring and bring our jobs back home.
Recruiter lies
I have a friend who is a recruiter and she passes on information about the job she is hiring for - information given to her by transcription managers and human resources. If she tells someone something incorrect, that is totally NOT her fault.

I've seen her go to bat for MTs when they find out what she told them was not correct. She was VERY upset because she is very ethical and refuses to give out false information knowingly.

There may be some recruiters out there who lie for the head count or hiring bonus they may receive, but NOT ALL.
Yep, just one more of the lies. Major
account was VERY unhappy when they found out work was going to India, which is one of the main reason they lost it.  See what it cost them in the end though.
I suspected something was going on despite all the lies
and I already was working another job when they lost the account.  There were sending so much work to India that there wasn't much work anyway, so I worked both jobs for a while.  The MTSO was trying to get people to quit so she wouldn't have to pay unemployment.
Any company that offshores, lies about it like they did and then
gets caught is an unethical company.  I don't care if they pay better, no ESL, etc.   If you want to work for a company like that more power to you.     My ethics won't let me work for a company like that.
Go spread your lies somewhere else. This is utterly false. sm
There are three people who do the training, and it is very thorough. How would you know anything about the owner? First of all, it is they not she. Secondly, I have worked at KS for 3 years and have never had any contact with either of them.

I am training to be a lead transcriptionist, so I have talked to a lot of managers, other leads and transcriptionists. All are very busy, and the accounts are not overstaffed. Every one of the more than 20 people I have been in contact with are very happy.

There have been no accounts lost in the past several years. If you were really an employee, you would know that no one has pulled an account and that there are new accounts constantly.

Broken promises? Very vague, don't you think? The employee book spells everything out. There are no secrets.

Either they let you go for one reason or another and your are bitter or you were never hired.

I think that Keystrokes is the most improved company I have ever seen discussed here or on other boards. They did have problems when they started but those are in the past. Current employees are either happy or being worked with to make them happy.

I am looking forward to being a lead and to staying with Keystrokes as long as they will have me.

You need to stop spreading lies. The insurance sm
rates that came back were higher than they expected but it was because too few people wanted it. It would have been less out of the Keystrokes' pockets based on number of people who wanted it but more for each person and not as good coverage as they had wanted.

Get your facts straight. You heard wrong.

The new quotes are supposed to be in today or tomorrow. Employees will be notified.

Perhaps if you have done 4 different platforms to no avail that the problem lies with you. sm
I am not with Keystrokes but another company that gets a lot of talk on here.

It makes me wonder what will make some people happy? 4 platforms and none are good for you? Do you have an endless supply or do you want one in particular?

the alternative is to allow reputation-damaging lies to go unchallenged ...
Without understanding exactly why TT decided that this lawsuit is worth it on balance, doubtless they were aware it would cause controversy and some (most likely temporary) backlash.

The company I worked for 10-15 years ago that similar sued a couple of ex-employees who went on a rampage bashing them remains one of the largest, if not the largest national around ...

As I said, I don't recall anything about damages ... it may simply have resulted in a court ordered injunction to post no more ...

The medical transciption industry is highly competitive. With the economic downturn of the last year I had expected more than a couple bankruptcies ... I suspect the move from local MTSO's to Nationals is responsible (since they are more likely to qualify for keep-float loans and have more deep-pocket hospital clients who pay on time -- as opposed to shoestring doctors' office practices) -- they also have the deep pockets to pursue litigation.

Again, apparently the people at TT felt that defending their good name in this case was worth it.
Our only hope lies in the facilities staffing MTs direct. SM
Win/win. They save a ton even if they pay us more per line which in turn puts us back in the bladk. We get affordable health coverage and labor laws.

SIMPLE AS THAT

Ditto to Queenie. My accounts have Overtime as well. Don't spread lies. sm
You need to ask for more work or another account. I have NEVER run out of work, but, I also have 15 accounts in my profile. Don't complain about running out of work when you can ask for more and get more.
Not Lee. She doesn't come here anymore. Too hard to read the lies from people who were fired fo

poor quality, poor work ethics, cherry picking, disappearing for days on end, not covering their shifts or line counts, crazy HR people (both were nuts and evil).

Good and bad at every company including KST, MQ, Spheris, Transcend, etc.

Job postings

The companies that are constantly posting jobs post them not necessarily because of growth, it's because they can't keep employees for whatever reason.

Spheris, OSI, Transtech, TTS, Softscript, Transcend, Medware, etc. offer ridiculous bonuses and other niceties to attempt to get new employees.

The best companies are word of mouth ONLY.

It is common knowledge that some companies have NO WORK and other crappy working conditions, i.e. low pay, no pay or late pay, poor management, but they still post jobs.

Educate yourselves and realize the real reason behind these job postings day in and day out.

Where have all the job postings gone?
Still wondering... looked on here, and pretty dismal. Not much on other sites.  Is it spring break everywhere, or MQ people flooding companies with resumes so that the companies are not putting ads?  Anybody got any insight? This MT is curious, because I like to keep track of what is out there (grass/greener etc.). Thanks.
And by the postings I see, some here
should go back and learn how to spell and use verbs correctly. Frankly, I think there are some Wal-Mart employees on here protraying themselves to be MTs.
Postings
Thanks Gloria Brown and CindyMT for telling it the way you see it. Your point of view is well taken since you've lived through it. MQQA, if you read the whole thing, you would note that they have left.
The more mean, defensive postings I see from you indicate to me that
because you're getting a little too angry and taking it a little too personally not to be.
Seems like there were only good postings about

There are companies on there looking for MTs to do clinic notes.
many KS postings have been deleted due to
people supposedly working for Keystrokes who were posting...in a nut shell, the KS people were not putting themselves in a good light and the posts were pulled but you would need to ask KS about it for their version.

Job postings have dropped because
we are in a depression. Yes, I said a depression. No one on television will say the D word for fear of scaring people, but do your homework. Our country's economy is tanking rapidly.
Anon postings

I was threatened a few years ago for posting on the site by a company that wasn't paying its people.  The owner threatened to sue me for deformation of character and slander.  First of all, I told her as the owner of a transcription company, she needed to learn how to spell.  It's defamation of character.  Next, since the board is in print, it would be libel instead of slander.

For any MTs who are afraid of being sued over posts, the most important thing to remember is that they can only sue you if what you say is not true.  If you stick to the facts, whether it's not getting paid, bounced checks, etc., you don't have anything to worry about.

I have posted deragotory comments about 2 companies, and both have threatened to sue me.  I have a little file in which I keep all the evidence of late pays and bounced checks, so I'm not concerned.

Reading down through your postings
You said you learned acute care but then said you had trouble with other specialities? I hate to tell you but acute care about covers it all. I do acute and have worked over the years from everything from a neurologist to oncologist, every type I do in acute care. I really am not picking up much in reading that shows you have much experience in transcription work. You are not straight forward in saying what background you have. You also said you would not work for poorly run companies- yet you said you were paid cash or off the books. Pray tell, what kind of company does that? Sounds like the poorest of the poor run companies to me. You said you worked in market research. That sounds like nothing relating to transcription work which means basically no experience there. Someone here asked you to post experience. I think they want you to post TRANSCRIPTION experience because from reading your posts I really find nothing. That might be why you are failing the tests. So, really, put down in black and white here..... what type of training did you have at Career Step and what type of medical transcription have you done? Your story has a lot of holes in it.
I'm sure many postings are shaded by negativity but
If I see something that goes into great detail describing a negative experience, not getting paid, bad management with a pretty good explanation why, etc. I steer clear of that company. No one could be making some of this stuff up.
postings about them is that they weren't getting paid. nt

See the 2 postings by Sharon and Rikki (sm)

on the Job Board......or go to transcriptionoutsourcing.com ......this company is in Wisconsin, but they are great to work for, good dictators, weekly pay...always on time.  Great people.

Attention THMT - thank you for your postings
You helped me make a decision to join your team because of the way you are level and positive.  Thank you!
Because of postings on a bitter board? Why would you
quit a job or question your judgement based on postings on an anonymous board? If you like the job, stay. If you don't, look elsewhere.
you need to really look back to prior postings
This company has been flying all over this board even back in March. I think it goes further than disgruntled employees. Take a look at how their lead people handle these comments. They have badmouthed these employees horribly. Yes, companies will have unhappy employees and there will be some grumbling, but it clearly looks like a much bigger problem with Shapin. A lot of drama for low pay. I would have nothing to do with them and NOT for the grumbling of past employees, but for the obnoxious and crude way Shapin's management individuals conducted themselves!
That's great, but I was talking about the job postings. sm
Some companies/entities do know what IC means, but others do not.

The job postings state IC status, but want a schedule like an employee, and pay peanuts at that.
Job Postings for Focus....beware
If anyone is applying or is thinking of applying with Focus Infomatics, beware.  They are posting ads that say 'all shifts' when in actuality, it's only 3rd shift or 16 hours on the weekends that they have available.  At least that is what was told to the QCs that they had to put on other accounts due to losing an account.  Be careful with these people as when they hire you, they tell you one thing, but eventually, it all changes and you go to making maybe a third of what you started out with.
It's sad how badly new job postings have dropped
And those that are getting posted are mostly for places with really bad reputations and/or companies that don't respond to emails.
To Moderator Re Aspen in Job Postings
What company is Aspen?  Is this a company or a name of someone?    Can you please tell employers to list the company they are with.  Thanks!
Perhaps you didn't read all the postings.
Maybe that's what the OP was talking about; we don't know as it could be interpreted either way. However, a subsequent poster did state that she indeed had a company charge her $5 a paycheck for the privilege of having it direct deposited. So maybe you better check your alarm clock.
I didn't see any such postings and if there were, they're false
Why don't you use the time and energy that you use posting lies about one of the few REPUTABLE companies left and fix what's wrong with the company you're working for. I smell jealous management.
The main reason for continuous job postings

and then there are SOME postings that make one wonder if it's the OSI poster backpedaling
You guys really must think we're all stupid. You're not allowed to post here because of YOUR behavior so get over it and grow up.

Any info on Tidewater (TMTS)? All postings are old
NM
Read their job postings. They put the starting pay as 0.08 to 0.095. That is what I found. Why no
find out from the company, no matter which company, rather than asking a board full of cheerleaders and naysayers? I took the information about the companies I was applying for, did a comparison chart, talked to each one and made a decision that way, based on the facts not speculation. One of the companies that had favorable posts on here actually offered me 0.065 per line. Not for me. I have 22 years experience. Another offered 0.11 per line but no spaces. You have to go to the companies themselves, ask a lot of questions and make a decision based on what fits you best. If they are a good company, they will have no problem answering questions. Most that I spoke to were more than happy to answer any that I asked. Their time is valuable too and I am sure they would rather tell someone the whole picture than have everyone quit once hired.

These boards are great for general information, but you have to take the bad and the good posts with a grain of salt. I have seen people praise a company to the nth degree one month and then bash them the next. It goes the opposite way too.

Best scenario is to make a list of your needs, talk to the companies and weigh your options.

Keystrokes is a good company for me, but that does not mean it will be a good company for everyone. But you will find them to be fair, give a good wage, have plenty of work available and pay on time. Those were important to me. I would rather be busy at 0.09 per line than slow at 0.12 per line.
I never see any postings about Accuscribe of SC. They evidently don't advertise (sm)
for help much, that could be a good thing.

Any info?
