go on line and check your/her companies state laws concerning withholding pay. At the time that I was working for the employer that withheld for 30 days, I checked it out on line. I live in Wisconsin and here the time period to withhold pay is only two weeks, but in California, where she was from, it was 30 days. just type in state pay withholding laws or something and with a little research, you should be able to find out something. just make sure it is for the state she is working out of. I just know that 30 days was the longest I could find. If you find that her state is not able to hold pay for over 30 days, you have legal complaints. check it out thoroughly. good luck to you. oh, and this applied to both employees and IC's.
