BOYCOTT!! I think she is a media hound (nicer word than what I really think) sm

and we should not dignify what she has done by giving her one iota of attention. And any station that decides to give her a "show" (like Jon&Kate plus 8 or that Duggars Giant humongous family - disgusting) should be absolutely boycotted and all their sponsors too. Promoting this stuff is just WRONG.

Gas boycott

Has anyone heard about the gas boycott on 05/15/2007? I heard from a friend of mine and it is being asked that people do not pump gas on that day. In 1997 there was a similar gas-out and overnight the price of gas fell 30 cents a gallon. If all the people on the internet went along with this gas-out, the gas companies would stand to lose almost THREE BILLION dollars for that 1 day. I am passing it on because I, for one, would like to see a reduction in the prices.

That was funny - thanks! LOL - he's nicer today (of course) sm
he saw me looking up "signs that someone close to you is an alcoholic" and of course using typical verbal abuser behavior, he has been really nice yesterday and today...I used to fall for it hook, line and sinker and believe that things had miraculously changed...I don't buy it any more but do enjoy the reprieve!
Does anyone have or has had a basset hound?? sm
We have a 5 month old basset, girl, and all she seems to do is cry. We have 3 other dogs (other breeds), males, and they never cry except when they need to go out. This little one just wines and cries all the time. She was sick with pneumonia and kennel cough when we got her and was also having some kind of anxiety or depression because all of her siblings were gone. She had given up on life and had quit eating and drinking.  She adjusted well in our home and loves the other dogs and our kids. She is healthy now, but still cries a lot. Just wondering if this is a basset trait, a girl-dog trait, or is it just her?? Thanks!
I have a hound who is 3 now, he was the HARDEST dog SM
I have ever had to train! I think basset hounds in generale are difficult to train. Just be patient, she will "get it" soon.

I was used to having boxers before we got the basset.
simple word - but hate the word 'moist'
I don't think I've ever used that word other than to say I hate it!
The text is a direct quote from TMZ, word for word.
Word for word from the title to the very end.
But nothing is so much nicer than at minimum of an 800 thread count. sm
You can find those at Ross' for around 50 bucks a set for queen! :)
Ceramic tile would look nicer. Not too hard do it
xx
We had to put our Basset Hound to sleep today

she wasn't feeling well and was having a lot of back pain and trouble breathing. My vet took a back xray, which was fine, but he said the chest xray was abnormal. We took her for an ultrasound, and the result was advanced lung cancer. It was a struggle for her to get air, because she had so much fluid built up around her lungs and heart. The vet said they could extract the fluid, but it would build back up again.

The vet said it was a really bad case, and with chemo, she'd probably only live 6 months to a year, and even that wasn't guaranteed. She said she could start LouLou on chemo and she could die in a week or two. She also said with the fluid buildup, we'd have to keep taking her in to have fluid extracted. She was just 2.5 years old.

We're pretty sad.

How cute, is the little one a beagle or basset hound? nm
xxx
wow? You're a whole lot nicer than I am. He finally got the hint when I walked right past sm
him and didn't glance his way once. I'm so bad, but who in the world wants to be intimate after typing on colonoscopies where a patient was not properly prepped?! OR on a patient whose genitalia is basically inside out and she's having every ectomy, otomy, and repair known to mankind?

Maybe stop calling us all 'witches' and you'll get nicer responses.
nm
Why stay if there's no love there?!! You deserve a much nicer life partner, girl.
s
It's funny watching my Basset Hound in the snow, it's over his back! nm
x
What a great story, I have a basset hound named Biscuit. nm
xxx
In addition to the media, I would also

contact an attorney if the school does nothing.  I've seen a few movies "based on fact" where the school is legally bound to protect your child during school hours.  If the school does nothing and the police do nothing, I would contact an attorney immediately.

I cannot believe that the media compares M to
Princess Diana, as Diana # 2.

Between the 2 lies a world.
No, the post said media was embarrasing
her which is not the media causing this mess. She has herself to blame, not the media. They only try to follow a story that is so out there and hers is. It seems like she has had a complete loss of reality but even on my worst days, never thought of murdering and this was her intention from what the reports are saying. Like I said previously, you never ever know a person, maybe yourself. All the people who know her shocked by her actions. They said mother first and foremost about her. I see women posting about not letting others keep their children and here is a mother of 3 and what is she reported to have wanted to do? Things happen all the time just like this story except most of us just not as famous and therefore we mostly do not land in the news.
Media and attention seekers...sm
There is nothing wrong with "children today" anymore than children of any other day.  Half the problem is the media and all the attention they are giving this and other similar things of this nature.  The media are reporting every shooting, every violent act they can get their hands on and grouping them together because people watch this crap.  Bad things happen every day and will continue to happen.  It's just part of life.  The more media attention things like this get, the more people wanting attention will copy it.
Wow! You're a keeper! :) In what media are you
s
what you did and what the media portrays are completely different
nm
No, it is not a word. The word is "regardless".
x
I think you're watching too much media, which overrates everything.
nm
all for the sake of media, once again, running lives
I never started watching this useless gimmic of a show; typical media crap that it is.
What a media whor$. Child expert
my foot. How about expert at manipulation, selfishness and greed? It wouldn't surprise me if Oprah slurped all over her just for the attention; she is another media whor$. I hope the IVF clinic is shut down. I heard on the news yesterday that she actually worked at the clinic. The whole story skeeves me!
No, I do not hate her. It's just unbelievable as what the media tries to portray her.
Second Princess Diana?
Elegant?
Unique style (this yes, but positively?)

Does the media think that we do not have eyes to see?

I bet that M is also irritated by all this.

But $ 540.-- for a pair of ugly sneakers?

What are these people thinking, especially in these times.

And she wears them at a charity event?
I bought something recently and it was sent by media mail and took 3 weeks. sm
Last year I bought some videos and they took about a month to get here, so give it a little more time if it was sent by media mail.
like a cow, he does what the guy in front of him does; sees it in the media, thinks it's real
nm
I like Paula, the media and people make up so much stuff!...nm
nm
I agree, in the beginning the media was in such a hype that we got panicky
and now they slowed down too much with the reporting so that we got the impression that it is over, but it is not yet!
Stay careful, out there....
bogus media runs this country; time for a change.
nm
OP does not support raunchy media-spun shows...that is the point.
nm
Well I guess it is a pretty sensational story judging by the media coverage!
x
Definitely remember Buffy's Bark. Also had a Bassett Hound and remember his bark(EOM)
.
Last word on this, a big L
for loser!!! I saw her in interviews over the years and until she got with Stern never talked about her mother the way after they got together. I think Daniel and Annas death really ought to be really looked at, very closely. I think he wanted total control and I am glad the way it worked out, but then never thought any differently.
In a word...
I do believe in miracles!
We don't use the W word here.
This is the Gab board.

There are other boards for lecturing about work, and if that's your thing, then this isn't your board.
More you can do to get the word out

Please pass the word along ....  This toy, the Pimple Ball, has a single hole and a bell inside.  It is made in 3 sizes.  The dog gets the toy in the mouth, a vacuum effect is created because there is only 1 hole.  If the vacuum is not broken immediately, vascular flow to the tongue starts to be impacted.  The more force applied to remove the ball, the more stuck it becomes.  If unsupervised while playing, the dog can reach a major state of distress before anyone realizes what has happened. The dog featured in this heartbreaking story is not the only animal that has been injured by this toy.

If you have a vet that you frequent, make his office aware (I emailed the info to mine).  I also called our largest doy supply distributor locally, and he pulled the toy off the racks as we spoke.

I know as of 2 weeks ago there was a petition started on the web asking Four Paws Inc to recall this toy until they correct the single hole issue.

my word
For over 25 years, I have misspelled the word "this". It always comes on "sh_t". I have had to put it in my word correct key. My fingers just refuse to type THIS.
The word we should be using here is
God teaches us to be accountable one to another.

Christians are also accountable to one another. In 1 Corinthians chapter 12, we read that Christians are all part of the same body - the body of Christ - and each member needs or belongs to the other. This Scripture suggests the importance of strong accountability between Believers. It is important for every Believer to have at least one other person in which to confide, pray with, listen to, and encourage.

Galatians 6:1-2 gives a helpful principle, "Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted. Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." If your accountability friend has done something contrary to the Bible, you are called to confront him gently, forgive him, and comfort him. It also admonishes you to consider yourself because no one is above temptation.

Whatever, I think you just need to have that last word
so obviously there is nobody left in your little world to argue with.  You really made my point with your response.  IF you didn't work, there would be no savings and all the extra things that you do with your savings would be gone, so see?  You DO need to work just like the rest of us.  If not, then quit and give your job to somebody who does need it, that way you can sit home and do your nails and eat bon-bons.  Happy Holidays to you, "Honey"
Ah, I get it - let's play WHO GETS THE LAST WORD!
LMAO!!!!

Go ahead and take your little victory for the day - I know you're just itching to.

Can't wait to see your reply - and thank you for proving me correct in advance!

LMAO!!!!!
Are we not allowed to say the D word or something?
lol! Even the new pizza hut commercial disses both Domino's and Papa Johns - have you seen it? Hysterical. Have to say that Pizza Hut does take the prize for best pizza, hands down IMO.
I'm guessing that's another word for ...sm
what my husband calls a sidewinder.  Ewwww.  All the males in his family do it.
I have one word for Stern
SMARMY!
The word means to
water something down, not meaning neuter. IF you have a concetrated solution, you can put water in and that would so call neutralize it. Two completely different words.
OMG pls get over yourself...one word capped...s/m
think U should *go to bed* (your own words to that poster) and what makes you think that the poster was a *she*?  Awfully assumptive of you.
One word- groody
NM
*Alcohol* is the key word here - sm
and reeking of it is definitely a red flag. How would they get to the lake? By car? Alcohol and cars = trouble. Also, alcohol and water are a bad combination as well. If you're still on the fence about it, you could call the friend's mother and ask if the father is going or not. Chances are she's heard this question before..........
that word should be altar...duh! nm

Actually, I did ask that...plus a swear word or two.

I can have such a potty mouth sometimes...I swear, sometimes I sound like a sailor!

Anyway, back on subject here...I did ask my brother and sister in law about that and they told me she had been on the pill since she was 13!!  Again, rendered me just about speechless except for the F bomb, which was all I could really manage.  No apparent worries of STDs or just plain 'ol self-esteem and self-respect.

They (the parents) completely lost my respect years ago.  At least the youngest out of the 3 has a chance.  She sees how messed up the whole situation is and knows the key to success isn't what's in her pants.  She's just staying low, staying on the honor roll, and has her sites set on pre-Vet, which is oh so totally too cool for school.  She's the only one of the 3 that ever liked hanging out with me, so I take that as a HUGE compliment....either that or she really is "not right."
