Don't want you to feel bad!! You're our funniest "co-worker" LOL (sm)

How long have you been transcribing? I seem to know a lot of transcriptionists, including myself, who have had these types of symptoms. Doctor told me the same thing once - wonder if it is from lack of movement or constant computer exposure?

Oh you're kidding! Blazing Saddles is one of the funniest movies
And no, I'm not a guy.
You're a woman!! Our job is to feel
Isn't that what women do? Feel guilty for everything. Welcome to wifehood, motherhood and womanhood. Isn't this normal for women?? My husband is watching TV right now and I've been up working around the house, because if I sat in front of the TV all evening, I would feel guilty!! HA!
You're SO wrong! Animals DO think and feel! - sm
A dog is a *pack* animal, and when it doesn't live in a wild pack like a wolf, and lives in the company of humans instead, it considers the humans it's pack. This includes the hierarchy, too. This is why many people have no control of their dogs - the dog has established itself as the *alpha* dog.

Dogs thrive on the company of their family. A *lone wolf* is an unhappy wolf, and a dog abandoned in a yard for weeks on end (or even in an apartment all day) is definitely an unhappy dog.
Cuz you're numbing your brain so you feel no pain! Flavored brandy

ESL docs have got to be the funniest!
I have one who always says "patient lives alone at home by himself." Another one seems beyond being able to use correct medical terminology for bodily functions. All his patients "poop" and "pee." The kids also have "snotty noses."
Funniest thing this week
Transcribing a report on an adult and in the past medical history doc states"the patient had SIDS as a child".  Thought perhaps this doc was a ghost whisperer!
HA! - funniest thing I heard all day! Thanx
ha!
I just found the FUNNIEST website! -(sm)-

It's called "Awkwardfamilyphotos.com".    Check out the Mullet-family and the Pooh-family.... I still can't hardly type, I'm laughing so hard!

What was the funniest thing you typed over the last few days?
I had a doctor on Friday night who gave a whole list of his plans for his elderly patient and then at the end said,  Rib fractures will be repeated.  Owie!!!
OMG - that's the funniest thing I've ever read!

Y'all must not watch Funniest Home Videos as often as I do
... if you think hanging a pinata, blindfolding a child and handing him a stick is a good party idea, LOL.

Swing away!
Animal House, without a doubt, funniest movie of all time.
LOL
I have been a much happier worker since...

....moving the bird feeders to in front of my office window!  I just love watching them all and seeing what else comes out of the woods for some seed and suet.  Lots of red squirrels and chippy's, the occasional cute grey mouse, and I guess even deer, but I never see THEM, just the tracks and the "raisinettes" around the feeder.  Our neighbor gets tons of wild turkeys at her place, as well as racoons, flying squirrels, and skunks!  She goes through about 50 pounds of black oil sunflower seeds as well as 25 pounds of dog chow (for the skunks, racoons, and larger critters) a week!  Can you imagine?!

My other neighbor has a wild Merlin falcon (a girl named Helln Fury), who he caught and trained himself.  Very cool bird.  Can't say I've ever seen one 'round here but I guess they do exist, you just have to know what you're lookin' at when they are up in the air.

Love the wild critters and glad so many others on here appreciate them too!

what kind of worker?

Hi,

Thought the topic to interesting so wanted to reply. I chose my hours 6 p.m. to 2 p.m because my husband works steady 11 p to 7 a. He sleeps in the evening so thought it woud be a good time for me to work. Then when winter started, which is only noticeable by the light) I started 5 p to 1 a. Works out good for me and like it because I always have some work under my belt for the next day. Also, we get to have our days off together on Wed. and Thur. Working well so far. In summer will probably go back to 6 to 2 so I can swim.

Dear co-worker
Stop calling me Fifty million times a day. If I don't answer the phone I am not home, busy doing something, or I just don't want to talk to you. Also, when you call stop calling my name so many times. I know what my name is.

Your co worker Me
Dear Co-worker of DH
I realize that your shift starts at 5 am but I would appreciate it if you would not call the house at that time unless it is a real emergency. The last 4 times you have called with the same problem my dh told you the same answer....I'll fix it when I get in. It is not a problem. Buy a clue and stop interrupting what little sleep I get.
what type of worker

You need either the converter box or a new TV that by law has to have digital in it.  I have a new TV and I scan the digital part of my TV.  I get maybe one station every few days, so obviously I have the capability otherwise I would not get any digital TV.  It is the reception as I live in a rural area.  I do have to get a roof top antenna.  I was wondering what type of worker does that?  When I look in the yellow pages, all it has is satellite and cable, nothing about antenna installers.  I was wondering can just a handy man that I would hire install one or do I have to get an electric contractor to do it.

The slain social worker one? nm
.
According the animal control worker..
We have one of the animal control worker's living across the street from us and she asked my son how Lily was doing tonight. He told her that she was coughing and she said that the dogs at Animal control all have kennel cough right now and to bring her out tomorrow for some medicine. I'm still just going to bring her to the vet because of her itching and all the mucous. I think I'll just go over to her house if I have any more questions about Lily.

Lily is probably stressed with all her new changes, but other than throwing up, itching and coughing, she seems to feel right at home. We bought her a big cushion for a bed and when I put the boys to bed at night, she goes to bed in her bed too. Anyhoo...thanks again for the support. I'll update after the vet tomorrow.
Do they by any chance have a social worker you...
could contact? That way, if the social worker stepped in no one in the family would really be so "involved" and it might save hard feelings further down the road but might have the same results.
What woman? What social worker?
We need a little more info to go on if anyone's going to try to help you out on this!  You've got me intrigued, though!  Lee
I have a co-worker that insists on telling me
I'm killing myself. I told him the Dr. said my grandmother may have lived longer if she had quit. He asked how old she was - I told him 93. Now he shuts up most of the time.
Dear Retail Worker
Do you know the reason I get upset about verifying my driver's license when I give you my credit card is because it is actually against the law to ask to see the license after presenting my card? Check it out!
Dear Retail Worker:
As a customer who used her charge card and had her identity stolen by the employee...BITE ME.
Unless you are a food stamp eligibility worker....
x
Food stamp eligibility worker, not!
I am not a worker in food stamps but I definitely in the past have known of several people getting food stamps that should not- one being my housekeeper- one being my deceased husband's daughter- both knew the system and "how to work it," cared nothing about having a real job, and just in for the handouts. Get this- my housekeeper had twin sons (grown now)- she got welfare for them, her sister claimed them on income taxes for years - I would call that double dipping. Oh, the daughter got welfare, food stamps, section 8 housing, all the freebies and lived with a guy who worked for the city making good money. You don’t have to be a eligibility worker to have seen this going on. Oh, by the way, when I called internal revenue several times to tell them about things, do you think they wanted to talk with me?? I don’t think so.
Update on social worker from my post the other day (sm)

I posted the other day about where I had seen that social worker before, and couldn't find her on the cast list - wouldn't have helped if I had.  I was watching Sally Field on the Boniva commercial and it popped into my head.  Social worker was on that Boniva commercial where those 4 women were supposed to be being quiet in a museum.  Isn't it funny how the brain works?  - haha - especially mine.

Well I am early morning and evening worker
My body just does better and so I tell myself it is okay.  I go strong from 5 to 11, out to deliver, back and then work 1 to 3 at a clinic, back home and then 7 to 9 sometimes later.  Before I had the clinic I still took afternoons off as I am not a good producer in the afternoon and so I worked from 6 to 11 and then 6 to 9 or so.  But I have my own accounts and can let me body dictate when my productive times are.
Dear retail worker--Thank you for checking...
my ID. So few clerks actually do and I appreciate those who would not let someone use my card should it be lost or stolen.
Just an update on my Social Worker visit.

No one has come by yet, but it's only Monday, but I did get the house cleaned with the help of my son, his girlfriend, and two of his friends.  I took the advice below about shuffling all my ex-husband's junk to the garage.  He has a fixer upper car in the garage anyway, so I just piled stuff around it, on top of it, and in it.  The garage is a complete mess, but we don't live in there, so whatever.  My son and his buddies cleaned up outside the house too.  We had about 10 bags of trash for the trash truck this morning, but they took every one of them.  Thank goodness!!

I'm way more calmer now than I was on Friday when all this crap broke loose.  Thanks to everyone for calming me down.  I'm ready now for when the social worker stops by.  I saw another officer over the weekend at the gas station and he asked me about my situation, asked me if my ex was ever served and then told me that he was proud of me for finally getting rid of him and that he would talk to his boss about this whole "social services thing."  He said his boss (who was the officer at my house on Friday) doesn't really know the ins and outs of the community like the officers do and he'd make sure he let him know that my ex is the one causing all the trouble.

So that made me feel better too.  I just can't believe how ugly this is getting.  I guess I'd better prepare myself because it will probably get worse before it gets better.  The divorce is just beginning.

Wal-Mart worker dies after shoppers knock him down
just read about it online. people are jerks. I can remember one time being in a line for ice cream at a fair, a very long line, and the person behind me was pushed right up against me. If anything like that ever happens again, i will turn around and says, keep your freakin boobs off me, you weirdie.
It's not the worker's fault. She has to follow the rules or be fired. sm
I've taken a lot of flack from a lot of customers, and the run-of-the-mill retail worker really has no freedom to make decisions. When the worker is caught between a yelling customer and a yelling manager, who do you think she'll listen to?
Sounds like the daycare worker is telling you what you should notice
This is not being a busybody but a change and she is asking if something might be changed in the home. I think she is entirely in her right and should ask questions and you should not be paranoid in thinking she is asking about you. This is a crying child who is acting out of the ordinary and you ought to thank her and find out why the 3 is crying so much.
You're not 'low-class', you're FUNNY, & a good writer!
Which is often the case then someone is the first to cast stones!
You're surprised? I'm not. They're not going to stop voting....
as was mentioned in a prior post. Imagine if they succeed? They just may.
At least you wait until they're cooked! LOL...we're raw dough
s
Sounds like you're doing great! We're also making out...sm
daughter pay for gas and insurance when she starts driving. She hasn't started driving yet because she doesn't want to get a job to pay for that privilege. That's her choice. We're also making her pay 1/2 of the fees for the state required driver's education course.
Things you're afraid of vs. things you're not
I didn't used to be afraid of spiders, but I seem to have developed a fear of those little beasties. I also can't stand boats, water deeper than my hot tub and bridges. I'm also fairly convinced that UFOs, if not aliens (well, isn't anything driving those things?) are real, so that kinda scares me, yet it is strangely fascinating. I'm also afraid of El Chupacabra, though I'm very certain that's not real. It's one of those "hahahahaha" fears.

Things other people fear that I do not include snakes (awwww, they so cute! they look like they're smiling!), rats, gangbangers (except Mara Salvatrucha, move them up to my "scary" list), poverty, death, traveling at high rates of speed with almost anyone sober, bats (CUTE!!!!!), homeless people, Sasquatch, most of my male friends, bears, mountain lions.

Fear is such an odd thing, don't you think? So much of it is relative to our own experiences in life, yet at the same time some of them are downright irrational.

So, how 'bout you? What will send  you running screaming in the other direction, and what things can you take care of when someone else goes running screaming in the other direction?

How would you feel
Let me ask you, how would you feel if you were in an mva and when you arrived at the trauma center they said, sorry - we can't help you, we are closed for Thanksgiving or Christmas as the case may be. We make a choice when we get into healthcare - it's 365 days a year 24/7. Doctors, nurses, firefighters, police officers, military.. all professions that require working major holidays. Usually it's a skeletan crew that works and is on call for Stats. My feeling is, if a gaurantee job of no holidays is what one wants, then one should go into a field that doesn't require the coverage like banking or a private physicians office. Hospital medical transcription has never been Monday through Friday and never will. Think about it from the patient's point of view, after all - that is the main goal - THEIR care.
Been there - know how you feel sm
Honestly, I lost two angels before my firstborn. One at 16 weeks and the other at 12 weeks. It was excruciating and heart breaking. Now, I know I have two angels on each shoulder 24 hours a day watching over me and my family. It is comforting after a while to know that you have these angels.

God bless you and your family!
You should not feel bad at all, I don't
wrong with your response at all. My home is with my family also, but I do think of the small town in which I spent the first 20 years of my life and the wonderful times I had there, especially at the holiday time of year.
Thank you, too. I feel the same. As for
your European anology of family, you are SO right. I so admire that type of family dynamic, and don't understand fully what happened here in America. My parents were/are typical examples. They were 50's and 60's Beaver-Cleaver parents - my dad worked, my mom was a stay at home mom, though it turned out she hated it. They had the obligatory 3 kids, me being the last, and by a long shot. At any rate, they just did not foster a close family unit - we looked great on paper, but that was it. As soon as I was in my teens, my parents couldn't wait to sell the family home and take off for a retirement community, though they also weren't all that social, either. They barely paid attention to their grandkids - just the obligatory gifts and family dinners, where all was so strained and forced. They thought about themselves, really. Parents who put their happiness and interests first, while going thru the motions, though, of being that all-American upper middle class family. So, they sold everything that to me was cherished and headed south to a senior community, full of lonely seniors who chose that lifestyle. Know what I mean? They couldn't wait to get away from their grown kids and do their own thing, yet when the chips were down and their health was failing, they were stranded more or less, turning to visiting nurses and the like for care. It is odd about our society how things are turning like this and the close extended family just is a legend - like Big Foot. I have done lots of social political reading, and there are actually explanations - you are probably familiar, but it was some in governments plan, and they sure succeeded. Now all is backfiring, though. I know then I have stopped this family distancing with my own kids, thank God. My husband and I are very close with our kids, and vice versa. Many of our peers are the same, though most do not have relationships with their parents either. Maybe there is hope, eh? Nice meeting you! And though we differ, we are the same.
I feel for you

My MIL died of cancer on Christmas Eve back in the 80s. My ex-MIL, whom I loved dearly, told me, "How wonderful. She died on the eve of the Christ child's birth. You can't ask for a more blessed event as she is definitely in the arms of  the Lord."

This always stuck in my mind and made me feel a lot better. I'm not an overly religious person, but when I think of that, I get a warm and fuzzy feeling all over.

I hope everything gets better for you. Just remember that they will be going to a better place without pain, sorrow, or heartache.

I know how you feel....
I just got word that my dad had a brain aneurysm and had a stroke. Nothing but worry. Right now he seems to be doing better, which I am very thankful for. I will be thinking about you and wishing you the best.
I feel for ya, but it will get better! sm

I am at about 10 weeks now.  For 2 weeks straight, I was taking a nap at 9:00 in the morning!  Then I could hold off until about 1, now I can go a couple of days without taking a nap.  Take it as a wonderful sign!

I had a miscarriage last pregnancy, wasn't tired and wasn't nauseous at all.  This time I am so very tired and so very sick and I took both as a sign that all was going well this time and it is.  Hope all goes well for you this time.  Take care of yourself and take it easy!

I feel the same..
The show is fixed. I watched last seasons show, and the rivalry was there in the last episode. I will not watch it again. Sam was definitely better - and Uh? how many times has Marcel won? BTW, he could not even pronounce the Hawaiian foods properly.
I feel bad for her
She lead a rough life and I feel bad for her and her daughter, who will never know her mother or her big brother.  She will forever be known as a "who's your daddy" baby because of ghouls who can't mind their own business.  I hope Anna is finally at peace.
yep - sure feel the same way!!!

I, too, remember all the lyrics (or most of them).......GREAT GREAT MEMORIES!!!  :)

That is how many already feel about
abortion being legal...it got on the books and has been a black mark ever since. Scarring.  What victory are you hailing?  The US is considered evil by many nations because of legalized abortion being practiced here.  So the affect is greater than realized.  Again, whose victory?
I feel for you

My heart goes out to you.  I  had an anorexic daugter for fives years which started at 10. She is 18 and is cured for the time being.  Anyway you are doing the right thing calling the pediatrician and seeking help. Maybe a professional can talk to your husband.  Once you get this help have patience it takes a long time for any results.  My advice also would not to find any treatment they offer your stepdaughter. My daughter was hospitalized 3 time, and almost died.  You have only a few years to work on this.  Once their 18 they are their own when it comes to seeking help.  Email me any time.  I will be praying for your family. . I am so glad you see the problem.

I feel the same
way. I am getting tired of seeing Lucky so happy about his baby and it's not even his. It is starting to make me sick! I love Jason. He needs to take a stand. Also, I'm really ready for everyone to know who Jerry is and get it over with!
