We got my husband one two years ago now. He never uses it in the car (we have On-Star now and he likes to talk to them, I guess, and does not want to pull the car over and stop (forbid loss of time) and so he uses On-Star instant gratification. He sits in his chair almost every night and plots imaginary trips he never goes on! It is a really neat thing for the family, it keeps him busy and frees up TV time for other people in the house! It cracks me up that we spent so much money on it when he doesn't really use it except for armchair trips. We got him one that floats if it falls out of a boat so he wouldn't lose it if he took it fishing, but hey when he gets a little older he can always use it in the bathtub at the nursing home.
