HUMMERS
I hope that you love them! If you don't force yourself to drive one just for fun. I now want another one and, in fact, I would like one in every color! I would share them all with friends who are "afraid" to go anywhere or who feel intimidated on the freeway by those jacka$$ guys who drive those redneck pickups that are way up there and like to scare little old ladies and little kids, you know who I mean - the "menacers" who are like sharks on the freeway. We have one of those trucks too, but I forbade my husband to scare with it, we just use it to drive in deep snow and to go to the dump. I shopped for cars and was shocked to find that many of the "green" cars got less miles to the gallon than the "nongreen" and then I started noticing that they are partly plastic. Plastic on your car cannot be a good thing. If you want a smaller car that is safe get a Volvo. People have been hit by semis in them and survived. The gas mileage is not as good as cheapo cars, because of the cage under the metal that protects the occupants. I think my grandchildren are worth it, so I would pay that extra a gallon and just cut out some of the miles to make up the difference!

Honestly, I love my Hummer so much that I intend to drive it and drive it and drive it until it won't go any more and then I'll restore it and start over. It is the best thing I ever bought! I just plan my mileage so that I don't make any wasted trips and it more than makes up for the gas "hogginess" of it all. I would rather go five miles in that car than 100s of miles in a plastic car that the dealers lied to me and/or stretched the truth about its "fuel economy" - even my dogs like it! I got them all car seats (3) so they won't scratch up the leather seats! They can see out and when they see the horrible traffic and how now grandma can merge safely into traffic that heretofore was off limits to her they are really glad that they are in that Hummer and not in a plastic car! Besides, I keep dog treats in the glove box!
