"End of Days?" Maybe that big asteroid on a near-

Has anyone been to Peru?
My hubby and I are considering going there for our 25th anniversary this year.  We have traveled all over the place, but we have never been there.  Any input would be much appreciated!
Just had three friends return from Peru...sm
I've only been able to talk with one of them so far, but she said it was the most terrific trip she had ever been on and wouldn't hestiate a second to go again.

She said Machu Pichu (sp?) was unbelievable and she could have stayed there forever.

This gal has been many places and is almost 70 years old, so when she says this was one of the most exciting trips she's ever taken, I would think it would be well worth it.

She did mention she was surprised by how much poverty there was in the country, but they stayed in some very nice haciendas (sp?) and were treated very well by everyone... it was a small tour group situation.

Good luck in your travels wherever you go... and Happy Anniversary. Just celebrated our 25th 1-1/2 years ago...only had a small gathering with some friends as we are home-bodies and can't leave our critters long enough to go anywhere anyway... but it was still fun sharing it with kids and family and friends.
I would be worried about illness.
Especially with such a drastic change from the kid he was. As an example, schizophrenia's usual age of onset for men is age 16-20 and is accompanied by many of the same behavior you mention.

Certainly, if he had some other serious illness he may be trying to consciously or unconsciously push you away or alienate you rather than tell you what is going on.

I dunno, it just seems that there should be a compelling reason (illness/substance abuse) for a personality change this huge out of the blue.

Good luck with this, my prayers are with you.
I'll bet her so-called illness
is that she won't eat the food. Her blood sugar probably dropped to 42, and that's an "emergency."

Like they'd extract a normal person who refused to eat!

If you can't do the time, DON'T DO THE CRIME, Hilton.
I thought there was a chronic illness board - ? (sm)
If so, can anyone tell me how to get to it please?
obviously you don't have a personal experience with mental illness
she is very sick and she needs help, which I am hoping she is getting. Mental illness is like any other disease, cancer, diabetes, etc., but there is a horrid stigma attatched to it. She can't help being sick just like anyone else can't help having cancer. It's called a chemical imbalance...when will people realize this is just as real and the affected can't help it or just "get over it"???
mystery shopping

Mystery shopping...Has anyone taken part in any of these jobs with a reputable company?

Mystery Shopping
How are you paid? Is it a reimbursement thing? Also, did you pay a membership fee? Thanks!
re:mystery shopping
I belonged to a few. I rarely did the shops. Some only pay like 10 or 20 dollars. Some are not fun. Many were too far away. And a lot of gas stations for some reason, for example you had to take pictures with a digital camera of the inside if they had a store, certain areas outside, the bathroom, etc. One was a vacuum shop - I don't even remember what that one entailed, didn't do it. The restaurant ones are nice, free meal for 2 usually, but of course not too many of those! Free membership for the ones I joined. Definitely not a dream job to make lots of money. Could be interesting though and get you out of the house.
I do some mystery shopping. sm

These are the ones I contract for. I could be out and about every single day if I took all of the jobs they assign.

Adam Walsh mystery solved
The guy who did it confessed on his death bed. It was the guy John Walsh always thought did it. I'm glad they will finally get some peace now cause 26 years is a long time to wait.
Check into mystery shops. I have recently sm
signed up for some. There are legit ones out there. Although the pay isn't always great, every little bit can add up. Just NEVER pay a fee to sign up, those are not legit. The legit ones are free to sign up. Like I recently signed up to inspect Exxon gas stations. The pay is only $4 but it only takes maybe 5 mins max. You have to purchase at least $1 in fuel and up to $1 instore product, which both are reimbursed, and then the $4 pay. I found 15+ stores in the same location, etc. So basically I have myself assigned to do 40 stores, 20 each day x2 days. My profit will be $160 and although I am out money for gas and the purchases those will be reimbursed so I really will clear $160 in two days as I will be getting my gas to do the shops reimbursed.

Also, Wal-mart/Sam's hires door greeters and those food sample people who cook and demonstrate with free samples. A lot of those folks are close to your husband's age.
Anybody watch Mystery Diagnosis on Discovery Health?
Amazing how people go for YEARS without the correct diagnosis or being treated for something they don't have.
We play bingo and give out mystery gifts to the winner. Very simple..
Every person who attends the party, bring 1 gift..they are all put under a little table tree and when someone wins a round of bingo, they select gift from under the tree. It can be a lot of fun if you get fun qwirky gifts. We all have a laugh at some of the gifts.
