Maybe because I recognized the patterns, but I could almost feel/sense the drink coming on him, and got the heck out of Dodge. I've been back home in what I think of as my sanctuary for the last 4 weeks. We spoke occasionally on the phone (usually him drunk-dialing at 3:00 a.m.) and met once, but I have since blocked his numbers. The one plus side to his felony DUIs is that he has no way of getting here as his friends are only friends as long as he's buying the beer/pot and it requires no effort, so getting any of them to drive him the 80 miles to my place ain't happening
Thank you for answering...I'm trying to will myself to be guilt free. My head is there, but the heart is having a harder time with it.
