The music is really good. I've already downloaded

What's in your CD player?
So, what's everyone listening to these days? I heard a band the other day and downloaded their new CD.

Check out Grace Potter and the Nocturnals' This Is Somewhere. I must say, I have not stopped listening since! Rock'n'roll with a bluesy feel, good songwriting, awesome vocals, a solid rhythm section, a Hammond B-3, and a guitarist who plays a Telecaster...what more could you want?

What are you listening to these days?
no, it is a wav player

I fall out of bed, grab some coffee and
head to my office in my PJs at 6 a.m.  On my break, I change into sweats or street clothes, depending on whether or not I have to leave the house.
I would hit Costco or Sam's Club and grab (sm)
some big bags of tortilla chips and salsa, something more bland maybe for the kids - and maybe even offer hotdogs/buns for the kids so they won't waste friend chicken?   You can also buy big cans of Bush's Baked Beans and I'd get a potato salad or macaroni salad as well - you want them to fill up on the less expensive items so you don't run out of meat - kids usually love spaghetti also - that and some french bread would be a good side - I worry about fried chicken and the mess... have fun!!
what do you think about Polaroid DVD player recorders?
would you buy one broke off of ebay and then try to get the company to take it back by saying you don't have a receipt because you received it as a gift?
I'd grab my backpack and tent and head for the Falls Trail

Don't jump...
Please don't jump to a hasty decision.  Like has been said before, think everything through before making a rash decision you might soon regret.  Dr. Phil says, *if you think the marriage is hard, just wait til the divorce.*  I've been on both sides of this fence, without going into detail, and it can work out.  And honestly, I had the same sort of relationship your husband says he did; we did see each other for a while, but did not have sex, didn't even come close.  Please, email me if you need to talk, because truly, I have been there...it can work out and make you and your marriage even stronger...cross my heart!
get up and jump up and down
Go take a walk for 10 minutes or so. Good luck!
I had a guy jump right in front of me
As if he didn't see me.  I didn't want to make a scene, but I thought it was very rude.  I absolutely hate cell phone usage in public.  It is very annoying.  I will purposefully make noise to interrupt.  I think cell phone usage while driving should be banned as well.  Most people are not paying the least bit of attention when they are driving and talking on a cell phone.  It is worse than driving drunk in my opinion.
I'm not going to jump on your case about this sm

But I wonder why you think these kids need to be told now? Has something happened that makes you think that someone besides their parents might let it slip? If that is the case, then maybe you need to talk to the parents about it and tell them that so-and-so found out and isn't good at keeping secrets, or whatever the case may be.

In any case, if you talk to anyone about this, talk to the parents.

Sorry to jump in late, but something else to try...
Massage therapy! I go every week, but during my PMS days (and I get it BAD!!) I make sure I tell my therapist (been going to her for over 4 years now and she really knows me) I am having PMS. She does some extra focus on my head and neck area for that session and I promise you it helps relax me more and does take some of it away. One time I went to her with severe cramps in tears and shaking with pain and they went away completely before I got off her table. She also tells me to focus on my breathing when I find myself getting bent out of shape. Easier said than done, I know. Best of luck to you. :-)
I'm gonna have to jump out on a ...
limb here and say that you don't deserve the two kids that you have since you aren't talking to one because of money and you get mad at your other child for calling you and asking if you are upset.  OMG......seriously.  Get your head checked!
Jump off a bridge already.
I find myself wishing that toward all the pedophiles I've been typing about lately.  My heart just aches for their victims.  I'm so disgusted by what they do, have done, that I just about puke by the end of the notes.   As soon as this shift is over, I'm taking a hot shower to help wash away my disgust.
Jump rope.

Well just jump in there with your concerns..
All men are created equal. It is understood that the "women" are included.

I just want to jump in here and perhaps clarify.
I think it's a common belief that the Catholic Church believes marriage outside the Church is sinful. Actually, the Church labels it as non-sacramental. The Catholic Church makes no ruling on the legality of marriages. In other words, if you've followed the laws where you live, and you have a marriage license, you're married civilly. Divorce, also, is a civil matter that is dealt with in the courts.

Catholic annulments, for instance, do not determine whether or not a couple was actually married, but whether or not the couple entered into a sacramental marriage.

A sacramental marriage must take place in a Catholic church, is witnessed by a priest or deacon, etc. Couples married outside of the Church can receive what is commonly called a "blessing", but it is actually their entering into the sacramental state of marriage according to the Church. If their married according to the law where they live, then they are civilly married, and the Church recognizes it as a legal marriage.

Some people consider it a lot of hoop-de-doo, I suppose. But it's part of the faith and tradition of the Catholic Church, and so it should be respected in the same way that people respect the Amish living apart from the modern world.

So, yes, if a couple is married outside of the Catholic Church, the church recognizes their marriage as legal. It doesn't recognize it as sacramental.

It's a topic that others explain better than I. So I apologize if I've actually made the issue more confusing.
Wow, sounds like you want to jump right into the fire.
I wouldn't do it.  Way too expensive.  Y'all are probably young.  I would sleep on it for several, several nights.
True Christians do not do this, that's why I jump all over them. LOL
A true Christian does not feel the need to preach nor should they.

Only the ones trying to recruit through brainwash do the preaching

Needing A Mental/Emotional Jump Start
You good people are probably as good to ask as anybody although if we had a philosophy board, it might be better. My question is Why? Why are we killing ourselves? And I mean this in the broader sense than just the MT industry. I have an ex (46 years old) who is an alcoholic. He lives waaaaaaay out in a very rural area. He owns his own house, land, and a lot of horses, something he acquired 20 years ago when he had a really really good job. He has a regular income now of about $1000/month from CDs, primarily funded from an industrial accident about 10 years ago.

Anyway, neither he nor any of his friends work. They sit around, start drinking at noon and light their first joint, and just drink steadily until passing out around 2 AM. They play horseshoes, cribbage, shoot pool, shoot the breeze, joy ride, poach deer, etc. His house is kind of a dump (jiggle the toilet handle, turn on the tub water with pliers, no windows that open) and lots of projects undertaken while drunk, some done, many half finished. As they say, the Lord provides for fools and drunks, and that seems to be the case here, as he never goes hungry, has never had to do without his vices because of money, etc. Somehow, something always falls into his lap when he needs it, and I'm not talking $20...he'll rent a chunk of land to a farmer for several K and gets all caught up, or he sells some old fencing and gets a grand. He bought a couple of timeshares years and years ago so he takes these great vacations a couple of times a year where the lodging is only $150/week.

I had to leave because I just couldn't stand the lifestyle (I don't drink, smoke pot, or shoot pool), but I'm wondering why. I'm killing myself working 2 jobs to keep the roof over my head and maintain even a meager quality of life, and while I don't have the drunken projects he does, my house is no palace. If it weren't for my kids chipping in and helping, my car would have been reclaimed by the finance company a couple months ago.

So I'm having a hard time hanging on to my motivation lately. There's probably some jealousy involved, but it's also making me wonder why I bother. If I really wanted to, he would probably take me back and there are moments that I wonder 'Why not?'. What is wrong with the way he is living? Footloose and fancy free without a care in the world?

How do you find the strength/will to go on plugging away when it would be so easy to fall into the idiot/drunk category and just the Lord take care of everyday existence like he does for the ex?
MUSIC
Don't forget (and I can't remember who sings it)...Celebrate!! I am in my 30s and we always [and still do sometimes (shh..my kids think we're weird)] like to dance to Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Also, I'm not a big fan but most of the people I know like Jimmy Buffet.

Hope that helps!!
Music
Has anyone tried listening to a CD while you work??  I accidentally stumbled across this as my son was blaring some of his music.  But there are a couple of CDs of his I like I play them in the background, it helps me concentrate and improves my speed.  Am I the only weird one???
I like music as well....

I've found that it keeps you focused, but I was used to listening when I worked full-time on-site.  I am quite accustomed to background noise from when my children were young, but now that they are in school, it makes me feel "not so lonely".  I do not, however, prefer the TV blaring unless it is on a music channel.  I think it is quite soothing, and I'm not real sure why....  lol

music
I always have a CD playing in the background but it's got to be something soothing and relaxing like Enya.  Being home alone all day can be really boring and lonely without it. I find it really too quiet otherwise.
DVDs, CDs, what do they like? music, TV?

Looking for music to exercise by - sm

I received an iTunes gift card for Christmas and am looking for music I can download to my iPod to exercise by.  I'd really like exercise-specific music that includes a slower song or two for the warmup, then a steady faster rhythm for 30 minutes or so and then another slower song for the cooldown.

I suppose I could create my own list, but it would take me way too long to figure out 30 minutes' worth of songs with the same basic rhythm!

Any help sure would be appreciated.  I'm so tired of feeling guilty every time I walk past the treadmill that I just "had" to have.

Filthy rap music...
The teachers have to take turns doing "car duty" in the afternoons, making sure the car riders get in their vehicles safely. Well, yesterday, a mother pulls up with 5 of her children in tow, and had 5 more children at this elementary school where my daughter works. One of her children is in my daughter's classroom and so my daughter called her over to put her on the car. When she opened the door, she said the music playing was pure filth, and in 5 seconds, she heard the "n" word, the "b" word, the "f" word, and what this woman should wrap her legs around, if you know what I mean. Now, this "mother" of all 10 children, has the music up so loud, she doesn't even realize her door is open and the teacher is standing there with her 8 year old daughter in hand. A 12 year old in the backseat hollers out, mamma, the teachers at the door, to which the mother nearly swallowed her tongue, and quickly turns the music off. My daughter said I wanted to tell her if you're not ashamed of that filth you listen to and let your children listen to, then why turn it down on my account? She must be a proud mom letting her daughters hear that filth, degrading women to less than dirt. So, that's 10 more children and several girls who will grow up sadly with that crap music and sadly enough, the music producers making a mint off of their ignorance. Some can't afford lunch money, but they can sure darn afford a $20 CD full of filth. But, if course, when the kids are repeating this nasty lyrics in class and have to be reprimanded, I suppose the parents think that the teachers' fault too.
I don't listen to music, but I have the TV SM
on in the room next to me. Can't miss my Golden Girls. It just relaxes me and I feel like someone is here and the mood is lightened if I am stressed.
What kind of music is on your
Mine is a mixture of 60s, 70s, 80s, and everything in between.  I have Van Halen, Elton John, Fergie, George Jones...just to name a few.  My kids listen to it and can't understand the combination, but it's just music I like.  So, what's on yours? I'm looking for some suggestions to add to my collection...
Anyone download music?
I just want some songs to burn onto a CD to listen to in my car or my home stereo.  I don't have any fancy iPod or MP3 player.  My brother uses a site that does file sharing and I cannot/do not want to use a site like that.  I don't trust them!  Are there any sites that don't do file sharing?  I looked at Napster, but it won't give you the price unless you fill in all of your info (name, e-mail).  Any ideas?  Thanks!
Turn on some music (sm)
go to a tanning bed if you do that sort of thing...maybe after work? Sounds like Seasonal Affective Disorder?

Not sure if they have the actual cartoon...I love how it puts the season back in the right perspective. I also think the fact that I have been watching it around Christmas since I was a kid has something to do with it helping me feel "Christmasy". The CD is really good though-I've seen the cartoon so many times I can picture it while I'm listening to the music and doing other things.
At least you've got music - LOL (nm)

Downloading music

You have to download the music to your computer, then you can save it on the CD.  I use an iPod, but they do have restrictions.  IPods are set up as MP4 files rather than MP3, so you can't transfer the music back and forth from an iPod to say, a Zune.  I love the iPod and iTunes, though.  I'm big on the instant gratification aspect of being able to download the music, movies, and TV shows that I want.  I have 2 iPod Video and I use them both quite a bit.

About the free music - I don't know about those.  It's my understanding that any free music site is basically illegal (I could be wrong, though).  I've always paid for mine, so I don't know much about it.

Any Music lovers out there?
My anniversary was last week, and I had no idea what to get my husband, so I made him a guitar pick necklace. He really liked it and I had two or three people ask me to make them one, so I decided I would make some and see if people liked them. Here's a picture of a few I made.

If anyone's interested let me know! Or if you have any ideas! I went to Micheal's this weekend and bought a bunch of goodies so I'll be making more!
