I had one like that - sm

The terrible twos were NOTHING compared to three!

I was a single mom and really had no support system so I was completely on my own dealing with the temper tantrums and bad behavior.

One day, in the middle of one of his tantrums I had an epiphany! I threw myself to the floor right next to him and started flailing about, screaming, and crying, just like he was.

He stopped dead in his tracks and just stared. Completely shocked him.

When it was all done, I got up, didn't say one word to him, just looked at him, smiled, and went to fix lunch.

Apparently it worked because he never did it to those extremes again. If he started to fire up for a tantrum, I would start to fake sniffle, like I was going to start crying and that was it. He was done.

Not saying it would work for everyone but it fixed my problem and I felt surprisingly refreshed afterwards myself! Go figure!

Good luck. You have my sympathies.

By the way, my little monster baby is now 21 and an absolute charmer. It CAN happen.
