I had one (sm)

and my problem was also constipation. I opted to have my procedure in the office, and even though they tripled the doses of meds they use, they still could not get past the sigmoid colon, so I didn't get my full test. So if your plan is to have it in the office, you might be gambling. I'd ask if they will have a pediatric scope available at the very least. Otherwise have it in the hospital where they have the best chance of completing the procedure. Turns out my stoopid colon is all twisted up, so technically I don't have regular old IBS, like doctors always thought. The good news is that MiraLax works anyway, and stopping the amitriptyline helped also.
