I am having a colonoscopy on Tuesday (my first, age almost 52). My problem is the constipation end of it and hemorrhoids from being constipated. If you haven't already seen a GI, please do so. IBS is completely manageable, it just takes time and attention to what you eat, drink, etc. Make a log for a few weeks of intake and output. You may be surprised. I have heard and caffeine and carbonated beverages are not so good. Good luck!
