...with her solid gold shovel.  It's unfortunate there was no prenup.  Guess they were the only two people who thought it would last.

Kind of hurts her claim that she is not a gold-digger - sm
When I first heard this I assumed it was $20K a month, which is a bit more reasonable, though still nuts; but $20K a day, what does she do buy gold plates every day and dispose of them? I could do a lot wtih $600,000 a month. I doubt she will get that though, maybe her lawyers figured they'd start with some totally outragous amount so she could end up getting what she attually wants (i.e. $20K a month or $100K, whatever it is). It will probably all end up being sealed in the end so no one will know.
That's an absolute riot !!! Luv it !
:D
I agree, hospice is the absolute best
When my mom had cancer back in the ྌs, dad was against hospice (basically 'cuz he didn't accept that she was going to die), so she died in a hospital. When he had cancer in ྜྷ, we talked to hospice because he was the worst patient ever in the hospital (I had to be there 24/7). Hospice was the best choice and the best support, as long as there is a family member there for the day-to-day care. They provided meds, a nurse to bathe him (being my dad, he wouldn't let me do it), and they were always a phone call away, even at 3 a.m. When he did die, they came right out and took care of things so I didn't have to, removing all the equipment the next day.

Hope this helped.
MMMM...my absolute favorite thing is...
standing in the garden on a warm day eating those little devils right off the vine! What they sell in grocery stores is a joke!
This IS the absolute best way to deal with difficult people.
Unfortunately, this is the way that I have to deal with my own mother. I never tell her anything, or she broadcasts it to the world, twists information, gossips and criticizes. After about 40 years of it, I finally just stopped giving her any information about what goes on in my life, except for the very basic, surface type things. Ironically, my aunt advised me to do this, and said that most of the family has to do the very same thing!
Puppy singing is my absolute favorite too! NM

It's lying in the absolute literal sense, but so what.
I think it's part of the fun of Christmas. I wasn't traumatized by thinking Santa was real when I was small. And my children, who are now 18 and 20, seem to be well adjusted, too. I also don't think that lying to your children is the worst thing you can do as a parent. The "controlled dissemination of information" can be a good thing. My kids don't need to know what I did when I was a wild child, for example. And on occasion I've told them there were no more Little Debbies in the house, even though I had a personal stash hidden away. LOL!

As far as Santa goes, I loved it. The way I explained it to my children when they got older and stopped believing was that when we're very little, Santa is a noun. He's a jolly old man who brings us gives, a very concrete thing. When we're older, Santa becomes a verb that means "to give". When my oldest became aware of the Santa reality, he wanted to "Santa for my little brother", and kept the fantasy alive for him. Now they do that for others. I consider that a reality.

The arguments regarding the honesty of the Santa fantasy will go on and on. In the end, it's a personal family decision to participate or not, and I think we can all be respectful of other family's decisions by not divulging the truth within earshot of children who believe, and not arguing over the issue with parents who believe otherwise.
pot of gold
I would quit my job and do as you said you would do.  I would build a safe haven for all the critters who need help.  I would start up a safe haven for people who need to get a new start with a home with furniture and food and a good job so they can pay for all the above at a reduced rate they could afford.  When they were on their own, a new person would come in.  I lie in bed at night dreaming of being able to do these two things.  I fall asleep having good dreams about it. Why is it that people with no money want to help people and people with millions buy cars and fine get away homes and spend millions on a painting.  Think of all the people that money could help.
Today, if you got a pot of gold, what would be your #1 wish

I really have so much in my life already that my pot of gold would  be spent helping out our furry friends, rescuing as many animals as I could and building santuaries where they would be safe and cared for.

Medicated Gold Bond........
Gold Bond may do the trick. When my grandmother was bedridden, she kept getting rashes under her breasts and arms. The doctors gave my mother Rx's all the time to try on her but they never worked. I gave her some Gold Bond to use and after a couple of days, she called and said it had dried the rash up and it was barely visible and had started going away. This rash had been there for months! All the prescriptions and this is all it took. Give it a try.
white gold. Lay's or Ruffles?

I have Command Performance Gold from hsn...sm
Not only is it beautiful, but it really works well.  It has a mirror finish inside and it cleans up great.  I have had mine for several years.  I only use certain size pans though, so I finally cleaned out my cabinets and sold the pieces I never use.  I got mine during an anniversary sale or something like that and it wasn't very expensive at all.  I'm not sure how the pricing of it is now.  I did buy a 3-burner portable cooktop with three 3-qt pans recently for $99 that I thought was a steal.  I have used that several times and I love it!
My mom painted hers a soft gold color
in the family room, and it looks great. If you have built-in cabinets in the same room, sometimes you'll see contrasting colors used for the inside back, and that can look interesting.
That is what drug addicts and gold diggers do, unfortunately :(

WOOHOOO!!!!!  Way to go!!!!
I swear by Gold Bond Hand Cream. or Bag Balm. sm
I keep a tube of the Gold Bond right next to my keyboard. I am ALWAYS putting it on. It has a really light smell. I use Bag Balm at night with a pair of cheap cotton gloves I got at our local mission store. I also use Bag Balm on my heels aned feet both winter and summer as they are so dry they will crack and bleed. I have also heard of something called "Cornhuskers Lotion". I tried it once and it was too thin and runny. Or perhaps the lotion with the fisherman on it. Norwegian something or other.
The medicated Gold Bond is great for damp funky navels and
