Medicated Gold Bond........
Gold Bond may do the trick. When my grandmother was bedridden, she kept getting rashes under her breasts and arms. The doctors gave my mother Rx's all the time to try on her but they never worked. I gave her some Gold Bond to use and after a couple of days, she called and said it had dried the rash up and it was barely visible and had started going away. This rash had been there for months! All the prescriptions and this is all it took. Give it a try.
I swear by Gold Bond Hand Cream. or Bag Balm. sm
I keep a tube of the Gold Bond right next to my keyboard. I am ALWAYS putting it on. It has a really light smell. I use Bag Balm at night with a pair of cheap cotton gloves I got at our local mission store. I also use Bag Balm on my heels aned feet both winter and summer as they are so dry they will crack and bleed. I have also heard of something called "Cornhuskers Lotion". I tried it once and it was too thin and runny. Or perhaps the lotion with the fisherman on it. Norwegian something or other.
Fuzzy navels...just thinking of how they smelled...

makes me wanna hurl!  I way overdid those in the early 1990s back in my 'clubbin' days--even now my gut just clamped right down when I read those two words in this thread!

Have a happy and safe new year!!!

have you checked how damp your houseplants are? Before you laugh..see msg. LOL
Where I work we had a problem with gnats. Somebody thought to Google gnats. Evidently if your houseplants are too wet, they live in the dirt. Or something like that...anyway..they went out and bought 100 pounds of sand and everybody with plants got some and put it over the top of the dirt in the plants. Worked like a charm. Hope this helps.
yes, and he has funky ears too.
when his hair was shorter you could see them better.

I started watching a couple years ago on and off and now I am hooked.

I am glad Nick and Taylor got married today, and he did not give in to Brooke. Can you image someone being like that in real life? So pathetic. ICK.

Getting rid of lice without the medicated stuff

My daughter also developed an allergy after multiple treatments (we finally found out that they had infested the rug in the reading area).  My grandmother told me that before they had those shampoos this is what they did.

My mother says mayonaise works but I was at my wits end so I went all out.

On Friday night I washed my daughters hair (which was down to her butt)

We then took Vaseline and worked it into her hair. making sure that every bit of her hair was covered.  Sounds gross I know.  We then braided the back of her hair and stuck it in a sock,  We then fashioned a kerchief over her head to keep it all covered.  We left it this way until Saturday evening ( we made a day of it watching movies ordered pizza played board games to keep her mind off of it).

On Satuday evening we took Dawn dishwashing liquid and washed her hair a couple of times.  The combed the nits out.  Nothing was alive.

Her hair was a little oily for a day or two but we washed it each night with a shampoo for oily hair.  It worked great.

Also for the rest of the school year we have problems with other kids never really getting rid of their lice but she never got them again but per G-ma's advice she did not go to school with her hair loose the rest of the year.  It was always neatly french braided with some styling gel over it to hold it and I was told that the gel also deterred the lice.

Good luck feel free to message me if you have any questions

Didn't watch...but what is this funky "Pick-Up Artist" about?
Anyone watch this? I happened to see an episode last night while flippin' thru the channels. What a loser putz this "Mystery" guy and his cohorts are!!! If any one of them had come up to me when I was in the dating world I would have laughed out loud and looked for the candid camera! I could not believe the crap they were feeding these poor guys they are supposedly "enlightening".

I got a great belly laugh from watching the guy lisp on about conquests, pick-ups, and the meaning of medallions, but I don't think that was the true intent of the show. LOL
I found them! Those funky 1970s plastic decorations

It was driving me absolutely nuts and I finally found out what they are called!  Google or do a search on E-Bay for 'Melted plastic popcorn decorations' and see what you find!  I'm gonna try and make a bid for one or two because after seeing that one in 'MT of Oz' picture there, I suddenly felt this NEED to have one again!

Thanks for reviving happy memories MT of Oz!!

Regardless of what medicated shampoo you choose, you must also rinse very well to eliminate any buil

Not all fathers bond with their children
and having said that, a lot of times having a child can also drive couples apart. A child crying all the time whether from colic or just wanting to cry for no reasons can be a headache not just for the mother but the spouse. Some guys leave women when they announce a pregnancy. I think loads of time an infant puts a strain on a marriage. It can happen and does. I was married to 2 different fathers to my children and neither one took the effort to really be what I would call a decent father- probably my fault for having a child with them in the first place but being as I do not believe in children without marriage, what was my choice?? Married them I did, divorce from them I did also.
DH and I went to see the new Bond movie last night...
Daniel Craig...yummy!
Thick family bond or not, - sm
My child would be yanked out of that very strange and potentially harmful situation so fast it would make your head spin!  Children certainly do not need to spend their time worrying about death and being subjected to this weirdness.  If it costs your marriage to get your son into a better situation (i.e., camp like someone suggested) then it was not much of a marriage to begin with.  Your first obligation is to your child.
You mean like bond money for 1st-time homeowners?
nm
We're doing okay considering. He managed to get out jail on a signature bond
and came back here saying this is half his house and I can't force him out.  I met with my attorney who told me the only way to force him out is to file for divorce and then ask the judge for a court order to remove him from the house.  So that is what I'm doing.  My attorney is working on the paperwork, I'm gathering all up all my financials, deed to my house, etc, and he will file as soon as possible.  Until then, according to the law, I'm stuck.  As long he doesn't harm me or our kids, he cannot be forced out by an order of protection.  So my options are make him hit me or just bide my time.
pot of gold
I would quit my job and do as you said you would do.  I would build a safe haven for all the critters who need help.  I would start up a safe haven for people who need to get a new start with a home with furniture and food and a good job so they can pay for all the above at a reduced rate they could afford.  When they were on their own, a new person would come in.  I lie in bed at night dreaming of being able to do these two things.  I fall asleep having good dreams about it. Why is it that people with no money want to help people and people with millions buy cars and fine get away homes and spend millions on a painting.  Think of all the people that money could help.
Today, if you got a pot of gold, what would be your #1 wish

I really have so much in my life already that my pot of gold would  be spent helping out our furry friends, rescuing as many animals as I could and building santuaries where they would be safe and cared for.

I think she is an absolute gold digger...

...with her solid gold shovel.  It's unfortunate there was no prenup.  Guess they were the only two people who thought it would last.

white gold. Lay's or Ruffles?

I have Command Performance Gold from hsn...sm
Not only is it beautiful, but it really works well.  It has a mirror finish inside and it cleans up great.  I have had mine for several years.  I only use certain size pans though, so I finally cleaned out my cabinets and sold the pieces I never use.  I got mine during an anniversary sale or something like that and it wasn't very expensive at all.  I'm not sure how the pricing of it is now.  I did buy a 3-burner portable cooktop with three 3-qt pans recently for $99 that I thought was a steal.  I have used that several times and I love it!
My mom painted hers a soft gold color
in the family room, and it looks great. If you have built-in cabinets in the same room, sometimes you'll see contrasting colors used for the inside back, and that can look interesting.
That is what drug addicts and gold diggers do, unfortunately :(

US GOLD/SILVER WOMEN'S GYMNASTICS!!!
WOOHOOO!!!!!  Way to go!!!!
Kind of hurts her claim that she is not a gold-digger - sm
When I first heard this I assumed it was $20K a month, which is a bit more reasonable, though still nuts; but $20K a day, what does she do buy gold plates every day and dispose of them? I could do a lot wtih $600,000 a month. I doubt she will get that though, maybe her lawyers figured they'd start with some totally outragous amount so she could end up getting what she attually wants (i.e. $20K a month or $100K, whatever it is). It will probably all end up being sealed in the end so no one will know.
Limbo. Great song, great game. Also,

The girls all line up and walk through a room as if they are modeling on the catwalk. Get a couple of bright colored boa's from the party store. It's a real riot and the kids have a blast especially if a couple of brave boys grab a boa and do it too.  We've had many a birthday party doing this and it was totally hilarious.

Wow!! What a great attitude! I love that - great perspective!

I am sure that you are a great mother and a great cook,
and that you tried everything, now try the 'hunger diet'.

That's great!!

s
Wow, that's great!

We had always said 3 and that's when we stopped.  They are all teenagers now.  Wouldn't change a thing either.

That was great.
I'm glad they did that. What fun. Not only was he thin, but his clothes were nice. No jump suit. I preferred his hair when it was his natural brown rather than the black dye job.
That's great - sm
I'm glad I don't need them anymore then! Also check with your state regarding laws about those things. For example, in Florida you are only allowed to borrow 500, in which case I would be weary of anyone offering more. Thanks for the tip - looks like you should be advising me!
Great, thanks!
I listen and take all ideas I can.
My mom did it and it looks great.
She did not fill in the cracks, and it looks great simply painted.

DS, he does a great job.
e
For her age, I don't think she looks great at all
isn't she around 20? She looks more like 30 and haggard half the time. Oh, and you too can have that body with the cocaine/alcohol-only diet! Get real!

She is such a piece of garbage. But they say her mother is too (was desperate for fame so pushed her daughter into the spotlight) and her dad as well (didn't he just get released from prison)?

Sad.
That's great! Another one sm
I haven't seen Chuck and Larry yet, but will definitely ignore the reviews and see it. I love good comedies.

Another one, if you haven't seen it, is the Wedding Crashers. I thought it was just supposed to be a silly romantic comedy, but my daughter and watched it on cable last weekend and I cannot remember the last time I laughed out loud, spewing drink laughing, in some time. See that movie.
I think it would be a great job (sm)
True they don't pay real high but you are at your kids school, no child care costs, good benefits, and summers off - sounds pretty good to me!!! They are hard to get where I live also though. Best wishes to you!
That was great. Thanks. (nm)
.
Great Job
There should be more people like you!
They have been a great help to me
in dealing with a similiar situation with a family member. Sometimes you hear things that you don't want to hear but the people in these groups have been in your shoes and they understand what you're going through like no one else.
I got to do this. It was great.
I contacted her because I was going to the 20-year reunion. I couldn't talk her into going, but I did get her to meet me for another trip back home.

There was plenty to talk about. It was great.
Have a great

weekend everybody

Thanks. Those were great! nm
nm
They are not that great...SM
They are great for a while, but then if the DVD player breaks, you are stuck with a TV with a broken DVD player and end up having the buy a whole new DVD player. If the TV breaks, you are stuck with a DVD player that you can't use because the TV part is broken. I would not recommend getting a TV/DVD player combo. I know many people who had had these problems with them. I would buy each component separate so that if one thing breaks, you only have to replace that.
That was great! Thanks. nm

Great tip! Thanks!
Thank you for that website. I'm going to check them out. Thanks to everyone for all of your informative posts on this subject. You have all be very, very helpful. I appreciate you!!
