I worked for them for a short time and line counts never added up. sm

Check the archives. I proved I was cheated lines and quit without notice. They were taking my spaces, cutting them in half and only paying that amount of lines even though required to double space after periods, etc. Software was comparable to Ext. This was 2-3 years ago though.

If you are going to be in the house such a short time sm
You will build up almost NO equity with a 40-year mortgage, and may have to sell it at a loss. Something to consider....
Two months is quite a short amount of time....
You need to take your time and keep YOUR options open! You may meet Mr. Right while you're seeing this guy. In two months, you probably don't even know his favorite color yet. Don't rush these things. If he is the one, he will figure it out and not want to see anyone else. Good luck! I hope this works out for you.
I liked mine & so did baby but only for a short time (sm)
To me, it was really only good when the baby was very young. I never tried to use it with them sitting up on my hip or anything like that. But when they are tiny, those things are great. Also keeps the wind off of them :-)
I also cooked mine for a short time and then put them in the oven and

from time to time would baste with sauce.  I had the oven low and cooked them slowly and they were wonderful.  My family just loved them when I invited them over for dinner.  You made me hungry for them.  It has been a long time since I made them.  Mine were not fancy, just good!!!   Good luck!

Have worked since age 13, most jobs ever was 4 at 1 time
I posted asking about taking social security early, not retiring because it is just not what I want to do. It is not that I cannot afford but like you, just want to continue on. I will reach total retirement age in 2009 but then I want my money from work, the money from social security and then I have a retirement from a hospital where I was vested of over $500 a month- I hope to be able to get all that. It would double the amount I bring in per month now because, get this, I finally got down to part-time (32 hours per week), only 1 job but totally addicted. It is so easy now, being at home, doing the same work I have done for 17 years, easy, easy!

short arms, short-term memory loss...
I too suffer from Short Arm Syndrome. Add to that the short-term memory loss that middle-age brings and I have now discovered I need to lasso the &*%$ reading glasses around my neck or my day will be spent wandering in circles asking the dog where my glasses are.

I have two pairs, per advice of doctor. I do not wear glasses all the time, so he thought I was not ready for bifocals. My son gave me a wonderful eyeglass case for Christmas that is big enough to hold both pairs should I ever venture out of the house amongst the living.

I did manage to find some "sporty" looking around-the-neck-eye glass holder thingies - what DO you call those things? I'd use twine before getting those multicolored beaded ones. I have a neon coral one and an emerald green one. Too bad I can't find the former, I can't remember where I put it.

The Chow has been the culprit in both killings and my SIL doesn't believe that he could move fast enough to catch a cat because he is old and has arthritis.

Not true. We had a chow years ago and he was quite the actor. He would limp when he knew you were watching but moved like lightning when he didn't think you were.

This dog is the same way. He sneaks up with his limp so the cats are caught off gaurd, thinking they have plenty of time to get away if needed, then he pounces.

I don't think there will be a penalty assessed as long as you file on time, but they will charge interest with a payment plan. I would recommend that you go ahead and send anything that you can when you file. The web site I was making payments through (this was a couple of years ago) was www.eftps.com, so you may find some useful information there. I don't remember exactly how we went about setting it up originally, but we had not filed for two years in a row and so owed penalties and interest in addition to the original amount.
very expensive but value added to home...sm
Lumber Liquidators for the bamboo and we needed 1400 s.f. and then to pay 2 men to install that and the cork backing...it was V_E_R_Y expensive but added about $25-$30G value to the home I do believe (was done a few years ago); besides the fact it is absolutely gorgeous and not difficult to take care of...but it's shoes off!
If this counts.....
He does not want me to buy his clothing and yet never seems to want to trade in old clothes for new and he has a hard time throwing anything away- seems like he might need again. If these are faults?? They do not bother me at all but cannot think of anything other.
not sure this counts
but I like Reba's :I'm a Survivor"
It is the thought that counts.
My brother was taken from us suddenly and I can tell you that for me, my sister, and my parents it was truely the thought that counted. The gifts, food, flowers, donations poured in but none meant any more than the other. At one point we had so much food and flowers that we had to give them away. There was just too much. I think the card is nice and personal and something that they can keep. Maybe even if you could go to a store and just pick up a very small pewter angel or something similar for the parent's card that would be nice and something they could hang up, put in a pocketbook, or put on the fridge as a reminder that he is always with them (just in a different way) in the future - that might be nice. Also most hospitals will accept gifts in a patient's name - could give to the hospital that you know treated him. sometimes they will put up a plaque or bench "in rememberance" with the patient's or families name.
"It's the thought that counts" - sm
Anyone who thinks enough of you to give you anything at all, deserves a heart-felt 'thank you'. All it means in the end is that they gave you something to let you know you mean something to them.

When I was a kid, a girl I knew had about 30 friends she wanted to give a holiday card to, and only had 15 cards. And no money to buy more.

So, she tore each card in half, and gave each half to all 30 of her friends. Sure, you got a printed message that either said,

'Merry Chr-
an-
Happy Ne-',

or else you got one that said,
'-istmas
-d a
-w Year'.

But each half had a personal, handwritten holiday message to the recipient on it, and we all treasured our half-cards as much as if they'd been whole, because of the person that gave them to us.

So, it really is the though that counts!

This is truly a situation where it is the thought that counts.
My husband's cousin lost their 18-year-old son in a car accident several years ago. Not long ago, we were speaking to the parents, and they said that people gave them all sorts of things; meals, flowers, candy, etc. They say that no matter what was given to them, it was simply knowing that they were being thought of and prayed for that carried them through. The have saved all the cards and notes and still read them occasionally.

Many, many years ago, a high school classmate of mine died while on military service. This happened about 5 years after high school graduation. I wrote a note to his parents, and a few years later I ran into them. Even years after their son's death, they remembered the note that I had written and thanked me.

So, I think that cards and/or drawings from you and your children are very appropriate. I would suggest that you put them all in one large plain envelope and allow the parents to open it when they feel comfortable, which may be immediately or later. I can imagine that seeing a child's artwork is both comforting and very emotional, so perhaps it is best to let the parents look at it in their own time.
Remember the old adage, it is the thought that counts - sm
She obviously cares for you or she would not have plunked out $400. Just wear it now and then when she is around and you will make her very happy, and it won't kill you for a few hours to have it on. (I don't like them either, but if one of my kids gave it to me, believe me I'd wear it for them).

hopefully this will be short-lived
I'd still send pictures, etc., especially to your grandparents. Good luck!
My hair is very short right now.
Short layers and all I have to do is spray a little hairspray on it and run my fingers through it and I'm good to go.  It has gotten much thicker over the years and hair color has helped with that too.  I hate that I have to color my hair, though.  I started going gray almost 20 years ago and I just turned 40.    At some point, I will bite the bullet and let the color grow out, but haven't gotten there yet.  Not ready to be totally gray.
My hair is short
When it starts to get even a little long, I have to go out and get it cut. I don't like the way my hair or the way I look when it gets too long. I just put some gel in it and go. The only thing I don't like is that it can get dry in the sun. I've been dying my hair for about five years or so (46 now). I won't let it go gray, but that's just me. My daughter is only 4 so I feel I would look like her grandmother if I let it go gray.
My 8 y/o is a size 5, but she's SHORT...
for her age! I really hope she grows into her feet soon, looks like she has clown feet :) She's only 4 ft 3 in., but has some of the biggest feet for her age.
I have only seen short segments
as I am flipping through channels and man, is that show filthy!  Is the story line that good?
Long and short of it -
While I can appreciate his desire to stop spending so much time in his car, I think the solution he is suggesting would only be very good in the short term at the most. The reality is you all probably need to sell your house and move closer to his job.
I always wanted to be short in HS, like
most of our little cheerleaders were. Now I see my height as an advantage, and i have to admit that even my freakishly long arms do come in handy. Funny how priorities change ...
My dad short-tempered and
was always yelling and pounding tables and children about the dumbest things, and mom was cold, bored and depressed, so it's hard to say.

It's so hard to shop for Mother's & Father's Day cards!

why is it the one item i need is on the very top shelf so far back i cannot reach it?

Life is too short
Unfortunately, life is actually way too long to be very, very poor, old and alone, and if you can't get along with anyone when you are young, you are not going to be that hot of a catch at the nursing home.
my short list
Milk
Liver
Okra
Tofu
Indian food
Thai food
Sushi

my short list sm
Lima beans
soft-cooked eggs (where the yolks are too runny and the whites aren't quite firm - and forget any with the shell accidentally left in)
fishy-tasting fish
Chicken/turkey liver (beef and deer is okay)
raw onions
big gobs of mayonnaise (a little in salad is okay)
tuna without celery.

I did it about 3 years ago for a short while.

I quit because it was too much of a hassle.  I had to buy the magazines, brochures, samples every 2 weeks plus get orders in every 2 weeks, plus I had to deliver with baby in tow, but you could have them pick their orders up at your house but with so many reps in this area, I had to be competitive.    My friend I buy Avon from was having problems the company not sending the right orders, getting things mixed up etc etc.  It is just a mess for her so she dropped it.

The pro side of it was that when I sold Avon I got pretty good bargains being a rep.  They send a What's New brochure every 2 weeks.  There are people here that order merchandise and open their own store and sell it that way.  I don't know if they are making profit or not.   I do think the real money is in recruiting people to sell like other MLMs.  It really doesn't make sense to me to do things that way though.  It would be like having a shoe store selling Nike's on every corner.  Just doesn't make sense.

okay - found it - short story
this year it is too late.  They are in the house for the winter and laying next year's crop in your attic - supposed to spray outside the house eaves and foundation included in the fall to prevent any new ones.

Short story about ATVs

A woman I know was riding one with her 2 y/o grandson.  She was turning on the 4-wheeler when it kicked into high gear and wouldn't slow down.  They were heading right for a tree. Basically she had to jump off while holding onto her 2 y/o grandson. The 4-wheeler then ran into a tree and did some major damage.  Thankfully, no one was hurt and she did the right thing by jumping, but still.  They found out that whoever had put the 4-wheeler together before they bought it had done something wrong and when she turned it caused a wire to do something weird and it made it go fast and wouldn't brake.  I can't remember exactly what they said happened, but if she hadn't jumped, she would have run right into a tree at full speed with her 2 y/o grandson.

Also, there was a young kid....about 5 or 6....who was killed about a month ago on an ATV.  His older brother was driving and something happened and the kid hit his head and was killed.  Had he had a helmet on, he probably would have lived.

When my stepson has a friend over, we always ask the parent's permission before we allow them to ride our 4-wheelers and we always make sure they have on a helmet.  Asking permission is just common courtesy.

OMG Yes!!!!! It's a conspiracy against short people!

I get so aggravated!  And then it never fails you go looking for someone who can help you or has a ladder and no one is EVER working on the floor!  At Wal-Mart, I've grabbed one of those ladders they have hanging on posts throughout the store and climbed up myself to get something of the top shelf.  THEN an employee appears and tells me I can't do that because it's a liability to the store.  I said, "then you need to be out here doing you job so I don't have to!"

Man, being short sucks!

Life is too short to be married
to someone I am unhappy with and especially, not in love with. I would not cheat but would be honest about my feelings and get out of the marriage. Before acting on anything, I would make sure I was divorced as should he. People will get hurt unfortunately, but I could never stay in a marriage knowing I loved someone else or I was unhappy. Life is too short and goes by too quickly. I want no regrets.

People will not like this answer but it's how I feel.
but short on compassion and caring.

Life is short and you only get one go-round.
Is this what you wanted out of life? No marriage is perfect, but being faithful is a basic requirement, not to mention the deadly diseases out there. That's all I'll say other than to add, you're much stronger than I am & I hope it all works out for you & you find happiness & peace, one way or the other.
I bite my nails, so I get them done short..
they are really not too long, but look better than when I have chewed them all off. Terrible habit, I know, but a very difficult one to break. I quit smoking and didn't really think it was that hard, but I just cannot stop chewing my nails!
cute short clip
Upon looking up dysphagia today (yes I know that's pretty simple, but I always have brain freeze with phagia and phasia (especially when they mean phagia but pronounce it with the "s" sound).

Anyway, I came across this cute little film short. It's 16 minutes long but was cute and wanted to share it.

It's all relative. And my legs are too thick to know whether I'm bowlegged or not. :D :D

In my younger days, I would have sold my two front teeth to have a figure approximating Michelle's. To be slender and willowy, any height, was my wildest fantasy. These days, I'm just glad to be able to walk, run, and jump, forget about the looks part....:D

I have a short haricut. As a matter of fact
I had it cut on Good Friday in April and cried all the way home. It was shorter than I had ever had it. I didn't leave the house for a week. Even missed Easter Sunday. I haven't had it cut since and am now pretty happy with it. the problem is it has a mind of it's own and has to be washed and styled every day. I would love to be able to just run to the store for a couple of items without having to wash and style.
Are you unhappy enough to leave? Your life is too short...
to spend it second guessing your relationship! It is either good or bad, worth fixing or not... It is your choice. If a man treats a woman like crap and she continues to take it she is also to blame. You can leave you know! There are good men out there, don't settle for less than what you deserve. If you want to be treated poorly those are the kind of man you are going to attract, the lousy ones. Women must stop being the victims. People treat you the way you LET THEM treat you. And those that say stay together for the sake of the children are nuts..especially if you have daughters, look at the example you are setting. I would much rather have a single parent (male or female) who was happy and well adjusted than be in a miserable two parent family where there is no mutual respect and love!
Just read a short note about her appearance
I just wish my husband would ask me to put on a "slutty" show. He and I both would be amazed. When in actual court noticed she kept her eyes down not looking up. I believe in establishing good eye contact. She says she picked up a shotgun, never thought it was loaded (double duh) and shot him. I think anytime you are upset, angry, get a gun you think it is loaded or otherwise why pick 1 up? I have been abused (even broken arm) in years past and I never ever wanted to kill and really do not care to hold a gun at anytime.
