I would also look up stories of teenage car accidents (sm)

and show them to her, the more sad and terrible the better. I would take her on a tour of the juvenile detention center in your town. I would drive through downtown at night with her and let her see how people live on the streets. I would look up every case of STDs I could find and show her pictures. I would get just as blatant as she is. If my child ever said F* you to me, I would know it was time to jump into action. I would purposely try to scare the cr*p out of her by showing her reality. And if I had to, I would let her to to a drug rehab or juvenile detention for a while, to let her wake up.

It is indoor accidents. (m)
He does go pee and poop outside but he is having a lot of accidents inside as well.  I was unsure how long I should be keeping him out of the crate at one time.  A lot of times I am watching him but he just goes and I am picking him up as he is doing it.  Thanks for any suggestions.
Accidents happen... sm
I guess I'd have to fire myself since I'm the cleaning lady around here because sometimes I occasionally break things accidentally. I guess that's the risk one takes with a cleaning person/service, but they're human and mistakes happen.

My lab mix was pee trained in one day at about 6 weeks old, only a few poo accidents- sm

As soon as I got Walter home, the very second we got out of the car I put him down in the yard where I wanted his potty place to be and he peed immediately.  Then I put him on a schedule where I religously put him in the potty place as soon as he woke up from a nap, about 15-20 minutes after eating, and before we went to bed.  I also kept an eagle eye on him almost consistently for the first week or so (not hard because he was so cute)... he stayed on a dog bed in my office when I was working and the instant he started sniffing at anything I picked him up and took him to the potty place... a couple times I was running with him and he started to dribble before I got there.  Sniffing means he is looking for a place to go!  Make no bones about it, he is not doing anything else!

As far as pooing, puppies go pretty consistently about a half hour after eating.  They have really tiny bladders so you can count on this.  No matter what I was doing we went outside at that time.  Whever I heard a tiny whine I take him to potty place.  I figured he had a belly ache just like a baby might and usually he would go number two.  The few times he did poo in the house was my fault.  I ignored the whining or was not paying attention.  I swear to you... Walter has never ever ever peed in my house.  But to be honest, when he was a puppy whenever I brought him to visit another house he almost instantly peed out of nerves.  So embarrassing.  When I realized he did that I had him meet my friends outside of their homes!  He would wiggle in delight but pee.

But for the first few weeks, I never left this dog alone at all and my big priority was to get him housebroken asap.  You may not have that option if you have to leave for work or something.  Walter went with me on errands and whenever I let him out of the car he would pee.  So he also loves riding in the truck because he did it so much.

When I got Walter he was a little under 6 weeks old... pretty young.  So I think I became his mom pretty quick and he was pretty moldable.  I have made plenty of mistake, though, like letting him sleep on my bed and now he is 120 pounds and still does that.  I don't know too much about puppy pads, but I would think that is still encouraging the dogs to pee in the house.  Good luck!

I agree, accidents happen, but she should have
asked you before starting to 'clean in there.' Maybe you could have rescued some itmes before.

But if her work is otherwise satisfactory, I would tell her to be more careful and let it go.
Illnesses, accidents, shots are covered....
xx
Is the problem indoor accidents, or sleeping at night ?
Didn't give any details.
Should teenage drivers pay for ....sm

1.  Driver's education/training classes if required in a state (ours mandates it) and it's not available as part of the public school curriculum?  The price is $325 for the 40 hour course if taken through one of the state approved places and includes 6 hours of hands-on driving experience and 34 hours of classroom instruction.

2.  The cost of car insurance and gas?

My husband & I are considering for item #1 having our almost 15-year-old pay for half the course as she does have the money in the bank and makes money babysitting, but haven't totally decided on this.  We know that if we ask her what she thinks about it she'll respond that she wants us to pay for it because she likes to spend her money on music.  We do pay $100 a month for her to have guitar lessons which began this past summer.   For item #2 we do agree that she should pay for the insurance/gas when she gets her permanent license.  Some of the parents in our area pay for this for their kids and others either have them pay all or part of it.  Our rules for driving once she turns 16 is that she will have to keep her grades up to a B average or higher, have a part-time job and if she slacks on either then the keys are taken away.  She isn't involved in extracurricular activities after school so there's no reason why she couldn't work a few hours a week during the school year to cover these costs.   We do have a good dependable car for her to drive (1992 Cougar with low mileage) so at least there's wheels for her to travel on.

What's your opinion?

New teenage driver
I am getting ready to add my 15 year old daughter to my car insurance, can anyone give me a ball park figure of how much my insurance will go up, has anyone done this recently that can tell me how much yours increased?  Thanks in advance.  The car she will be driving is about 7 years old but I think I have to also add my van?
For those of you with teenage boys
I just wanted to share this.  Yesterday my 16 yo son said to me, "Mom we should make some Christmas cookies."  My older 2 aren't home from college yet so it is just he and I.  I bought all the colored sugars, we put on Xmas music and he helped me make the dough, cut out the cookies and decorate them.  I share this only because if you have a teenage son you know this is highly unusual when what they really want is to hang out with their friends and play loud music and talk about girls!  It really touched me that we  had this special time together.  I am blessed to have him for a son.
What would you say to these rude teenage boys??

Ok, I was out walking this morning and these 2 teenage (middle school) boys starting yelling things at me as I walked by!! At first, I couldn't tell what they were saying or who they were directing it to because I had my headphones on, but after a while I realized they were speaking to me!! One of the boys was saying MOOOO and I couldn't tell what the other one was saying. I just ignored them and kept walking, as I know they were being stupid boys (especially since I'm not overweight), but I would really like some advice or great comebacks to tell these losers the next time they try something like this. Obviously, I would love to just spray them with pepper spray or kick them where it hurts, but I don't want to go to jail :) I really wish all parents would teach their boys how to treat a woman, so things like this wouldn't happen!!!!

By the way, my husband is out of town for another month, so I can't send him over to the bus stop to have a "talk" with them!

2 teenage drives - both boys, sm
One is in college and has not had any type of ticket. Did hit someone already, and he had to pay half of her repairs. We paid the other half because we wanted him to save for college. The second has just gotten his permit. If either of them get a ticket, they will have to pay for it, and go to driver's school. Would probably take away driving priviledges for a while on the youngest. definitely would not ignore any offenses!
former teenage alcohol user

I don't know if this is too "harsh" for your daughter, but have you thought about showing her the results of drinking and/or driving?  I drank A LOT in high school, starting around 15 when my mom got sick and continued daily drinking through graduation and then some.  Did my fair share of drinking and driving or riding in cars with drivers who drank, thinking that nothing would ever happen.  My sister who was 5 years older than me died from drinking and driving when I was 18, and to "show" me and my teenage cousins the consequences, we went with my uncle to see her car that had not been cleaned after the wreck (nasty, and I still see it to this day which is about 18 years later)...she was in a little 4-door car and fell asleep and drove underneath an 18-wheeler.  That sight was burned into my brain and I never forgot what drinking and driving could do, that we weren't invincible.

I did hear of a school that was doing "shock presentations" to students, arranging to have 10 or so students missing from classes for the day, then the other students were told that they were killed in accidents from drinking.  While that is a bit extreme, I really think that shock works best on teenagers as I always thought I knew best and that nothing would ever happen.

My teenage son has longer hair.
He keeps it clean and neat (right now he kind of looks like David Cassidy back in the day). When he starts letting it hang in his eyes, off it comes.

With teenagers you do have to pick your battles. He says that in a few years, it's going to start falling out (he's probably right) so he wants to enjoy it while he can.
My teenage son loves giftcards for
game stores. He loves PlayStation, etc. and he always wants a new game. I get him a card and he can go pick out what he wants.
Endorsed by my teenage nephews
These 2 could not be more "male" and they have really gotten into the Twilight series. One started reading it because his mom had it laying around. She will read anything. Anyway, now they are hooked and asking for the series for Christmas. Could always get them and give a gift receipt in case he doesn't like it.
I never yelled until the teenage years hit, then
it was hard not to yell.
Seems like my childhood/teenage years went with them...
who didn't walk into a young man's bedroom and see Farrah's poster -- wish you could be her, and of course, Thriller playing in the background at my first booze party. Blackberry brandy slushes...we were SO COOL...

Goodness, sometimes this adult stuff seems so trivial.

I agree PAMT, I also have a teenage daughter
as well as 5 teenage nieces and that is why I asked the poster to elaborate on her post. See mine below.
Teenage 'virginity pledges' are ineffective

By Rob Stein
" updated 7:20 a.m. CT, Mon., Dec. 29, 2008
Teenagers who pledge to remain virgins until marriage are just as likely to have premarital sex as those who do not promise abstinence and are significantly less likely to use condoms and other forms of birth control when they do, according to a study released today.

The new analysis of data from a large federal survey found that more than half of youths became sexually active before marriage regardless of whether they had taken a "virginity pledge," but that the percentage who took precautions against pregnancy or sexually transmitted diseases was 10 points lower for pledgers than for non-pledgers.

"Taking a pledge doesn't seem to make any difference at all in any sexual behavior," said Janet E. Rosenbaum of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, whose report appears in the January issue of the journal Pediatrics. "But it does seem to make a difference in condom use and other forms of birth control that is quite striking."

The study is the latest in a series that have raised questions about programs that focus on encouraging abstinence until marriage, including those that specifically ask students to publicly declare their intention to remain virgins. The new analysis, however, goes beyond earlier analyses by focusing on teens who had similar values about sex and other issues before they took a virginity pledge. "Previous studies would compare a mixture of apples and oranges," Rosenbaum said. "I tried to pull out the apples and compare only the apples to other apples."
The findings are reigniting the debate about the effectiveness of abstinence-focused sexual education just as Congress and the new Obama administration are about to reconsider the more than $176 million in annual funding for such programs. "This study again raises the issue of why the federal government is continuing to invest in abstinence-only programs," said Sarah Brown of the National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy. "What have we gained if we only encourage young people to delay sex until they are older, but then when they do become sexually active — and most do well before marriage — they don't protect themselves or their partners?"
'Get real about sex education' James Wagoner of the advocacy group Advocates for Youth agreed: "The Democratic Congress needs to get its head out of the sand and get real about sex education in America." Proponents of such programs, however, dismissed the study as flawed and argued that programs that focus on abstinence go much further than simply asking youths to make a one-time promise to remain virgins. "It is remarkable that an author who employs rigorous research methodology would then compromise those standards by making wild, ideologically tainted and inaccurate analysis regarding the content of abstinence education programs," said Valerie Huber of the National Abstinence Education Association. Rosenbaum analyzed data collected by the federal government's National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health, which gathered detailed information from a representative sample of about 11,000 students in grades seven through 12 in 1995, 1996 and 2001.

Although researchers have analyzed data from that survey before to examine abstinence education programs, the new study is the first to use a more stringent method to account for other factors that could influence the teens' behavior, such as their attitudes about sex before they took the pledge.

100 variables

Rosenbaum focused on about 3,400 students who had not had sex or taken a virginity pledge in 1995. She compared 289 students who were 17 years old on average in 1996, when they took a virginity pledge, with 645 who did not take a pledge but were otherwise similar. She based that judgment on about 100 variables, including their attitudes and their parents' attitudes about sex and their perception of their friends' attitudes about sex and birth control.

"This study came about because somebody who decides to take a virginity pledge tends to be different from the average American teenager. The pledgers tend to be more religious. They tend to be more conservative. They tend to be less positive about sex. There are some striking differences," Rosenbaum said. "So comparing pledgers to all non-pledgers doesn't make a lot of sense."

By 2001, Rosenbaum found, 82 percent of those who had taken a pledge had retracted their promises, and there was no significant difference in the proportion of students in both groups who had engaged in any type of sexual activity, including giving or receiving oral sex, vaginal intercourse, the age at which they first had sex, or their number of sexual partners. More than half of both groups had engaged in various types of sexual activity, had an average of about three sexual partners and had had sex for the first time by age 21 even if they were unmarried.

"It seems that pledgers aren't really internalizing the pledge," Rosenbaum said. "Participating in a program doesn't appear to be motivating them to change their behavior. It seems like abstinence has to come from an individual conviction rather than participating in a program."

'Negative views about condoms'

While there was no difference in the rate of sexually transmitted diseases in the two groups, the percentage of students who reported condom use was about 10 points lower for those who had taken the pledge, and they were about 6 percentage points less likely to use any form of contraception. For example, about 24 percent of those who had taken a pledge said they always used a condom, compared with about 34 percent of those who had not.
Rosenbaum attributed the difference to what youths learn about condoms in abstinence-focused programs.
"There's been a lot of work that has found that teenagers who take part in abstinence-only education have more negative views about condoms," she said. "They tend not to give accurate information about condoms and birth control." But Huber disputed that charge.

"Abstinence education programs provide accurate information on the level of protection offered through the typical use of condoms and contraception," she said. "Students understand that while condoms may reduce the risk of infection and/or pregnancy, they do not remove the risk."

I went with unlimited texting with my teenage kids...sm
because they can really burn up the kb!  It has become useful if they need something and are in class.  They make good grades in school and that helps with the deal.  I bargain a lot with their grades.  Certain things they do have to work for, I don't buy bells and whistles.  I do like it because we can communicate.  They did teach me how, which gave them laughs for hours!
Dear teenage girl on the cell phone...

saying the word F**k many times during your conversation does not make you sound cool or grown up.

From the lady who is going to slap you silly

Need gift for 16 y/o teenage boy. He is athletic. Not the inside gamer type.

you're seriously going to let an adult (male?!) spank your teenage daughter?
nm
Does your teenage girl bring home new clothing, pocketbooks?
Watching a show this morning and it was telling about how many young teenage girls now having oral sex, 54% of ages like 13-19. The kids on the show said they felt like you were still a virgin if only having oral sex, reallly common place. They went on to share the fact teenaged girls were turning tricks for money, clothing and the like. They shared the fact that if your daughter shows up with things like sweaters, pocketbooks, etc. that they really don’t have the money to buy, maybe you should be investigating about where this money is coming from.
Actually, some of the stories are right on
I have read these tabloids since very early age, probably 10 or so as my mother bought. Years ago the National Enquirer was really bad, showing wreck scenes and the like. Lots of their stories are paid for- say a celebrity is in the hospital-someone there has information and they can sell it and do. I have worked in the past where some of the big names in civil rights and baseball teams have gone and I have known about things going on- I do not tell these things even to my family and would never sell but you have people who do this and paid big bucks for doing so. Lots of stories are really dead on the money- takes awhile for issues to perhaps come out in the newspapers or your local news but I have read stories and then several months later have seen where they are accurate. Some of the tabloids are outlandish- but people who buy know the difference.
lately? these stories have been around before this generation.
nm
Love these stories sm
Keep them coming, keeps up the humor. I also had an aunt who did not cook and the one and only time she invited us over, she left the giblets inside and needless to say, the dinner was scrubbed. My mother said she was not surprised as my aunt was useless in the kitchen anyway. My aunt, by the way, was a hoot and the only thing I can remember about her was that she was a lot of fun and always made things very interesting. I think it would have been out of character for her to be Martha.
I'm sure there are lots of stories

about angels, too.  I have never "seen" angels, but I have often seen them at work.  I thank the Lord for providing protection through them.  Whenever I have a "near-miss" I thank the Lord.

My husband told me once when he was trying to change lanes, the steering wheel pulled itself right back so he couldn't.  There was a car in his blind spot!

I remember once one of my kids running down the sidewalk and fell.  From where I stood it looked like he cracked his head on the step in front of him.  I cringed, but when I got to him he was fine.  I just know an angel put his hand between the step and his precious head.

My mom was driving one day and didn't see that the intersection was icy.  She tried to stop but started sliding.  She slid into the path of an oncoming car.  She closed her eyes and braced for impact but...nothing.  She opened her eyes and the car was past her.  She said there was no way he could have missed her.

These are angel stories.

Demons are fallen angels.  They chose to worship Satan.  They exist to torment and cause people anguish.  Angels exist to praise God and they also provide divine intervention and protection for people.

These stories are just AWFUL. :(
Don't people realize family members can leave us forever in the blink of an eye?  Life is WAY too short to put golf or shopping or anything such nonsense before visiting family.  Man, even if it's only for an hour or two, it can really make their day.  How horribly sad.

How we got him weaned - and other funny stories
Starting school is what weaned him. We just sat him down and explained that I could not come to school for him to have his "milk break" - I nursed him in the evenings for a week, and then he was weaned. I'll relate a funny story about him nursing in a new post - you'll get a real laugh out of it -
Most of her stories should stay in her family
just nutsy. Having the ability to breastfeed makes absolutely no difference in how a child turns out, the upbringing does and this entire family just sounds bonkers. I am really loving the posts about bringing drinks to the team, HA and point and shoot like machine guns, HA, HA.. Great posts you all.....
You might be a redneck (true stories) (sm)

If your husband nails a wooden duck and wooden dog that your children painted to your back door (underneath the wooden back-to-back swans painted black that his mother made for you.....

(yep, my back door) haha!  - anyone else have a redneck family member(s)? Did anyone marry a redneck they didn't realize was one beforehand?

Need GOOD mother-in-law stories sm

I inadvertently posted for this on the Autoimmune Board this AM and admin hasn't switched it over yet, but I did get 2 nice answers on there, so I will try on the "correct" board now. I really need to hear from some people who have some positive feedback about their MIL's. I guess it was a freudian slip that I did it there because I am in a lot of pain every day. I try very hard to be a good MIL but sometimes I get a lot of flack and I blame it on the TV shows, movies and anything else that will generate big bucks from this campaign. I am a little tired of it all and really am making a concentrated effort to put together something positive about mothers-in-law in general, or step-mothers-in-law. Jeez, we deserve a break sometimes, dontcha think?? My MIL taught me how to drive, my hubby never would have as he kind of likes me to depend on him. Albeit, she may have had an ulterior motive, to get me out to work (which I did) but at least she let me crash her car a few times. Does anyone out there have anything POSITIVE to say about their MIL? I'd really like to hear it. I could use a boost! Thanks

PS: I've done a lot, free babysitting, helping buy a house, lots of things, but I'm still "his mother" and can't seem to do anything right. I never forget a special occasion and try to be thoughtful. Gosh, I'm tired! Can't we drop the stigmata of Monster-In-Law? Please say something nice.

Sorry I had hit reply to the one down below about inspirational stories
His name is Nick Vujicic if you search you tube for his name or for "Life Without Limbs" you can find all kinds of videos on him. There is one that shows how he gets around during the day, it's amazing!
On Hollywood True Stories I think one
of her doctors said she had RSD which causes intractable pain, caused by her dancing all these years which caused back and neck problems. Also, when she was married to Emilio Estavez (spelling) there were in a plane crash and she suffered severe injuries to her spine.
Thanks everyone for sharing your stories, very interesting. sm
I am sorry for those of you that took my statement about the alcoholics incorrectly. I was not meaning every person who goes to bars is an alcoholic, just paraphrasing and saying an example. I do know some people go there to meet others but I don't have a good track record with guys. I am attracted to the bad guys and wondering how to change that and seek out the good ones if there are any out there not taken and where to find them at!
Just Read Some More Stories About The Hodgkin's Boy
I still feel for the mom, I really do. However, from what I was reading at ABCNews, it appears the dad might not be in agreement with the mom's choices. That seems like such a tough position for the family to be in, ya know?

Also, there was a child who is now an adult mentioned in the story on ABCNews. He was 16 when he fled to avoid chemo for Hodgkin's. He never did have treatment, and he's still alive.

It makes me seriously question whether there actually might be non-chemo treatments for Hodgkin's that really work. It sounds like the long-term prognosis for Hodgkin's would be pretty good even without chemo in some cases?
I don't want to compare war stories, but I know exactly how you feel. Last year, on my way to vis
family member out of state, I was alone with my 2 children on a major US interstate. As we were leaving a big city and began accellerating, we immediately came to a stop. I almost rear-ended a trailer in front of me. I looked to my left and across the median (a grassy, hilly median) there was smoke, a tractor trailer on the side almost tipped over, and a manged Ford F-150 lying across the highway blocking all oncoming traffic. The accident had happened a minute earlier. I swear you've never seen a truck to mangled. The top was missing, it looked like a convertible, and under the tractor trailer lying face down was a young man (a teenage boy), just under the tires. IN THE TRUCK was a young boy who was apparently sitting in the back but half of his body was in the front. He was twisted like a circus acrobat. Going in and out of consciousness. And the driver of the Ford walking around bleeding in a daze trying to wake up his brother under the tractor trailer. Only 1 person had stopped, and for some reason my instincts told me to immediately pull over (I was in a large SUV with 2 kids in the back - what was I thinking?), but it was a godsend.

So, I go over to the boy in the truck and begin talking to him. He's still breathing. Barely. I lay hands on him and begin praying for him like crazy. Apparently, help had already been called. By the time I was finished the fire trucks and police had arrived.
I walked over to the boy under the trailer and he SITS UP! I thought he was already dead.

I spoke with the driver and they were all 3 high school students on break for lunch. He told me he was in BIG trouble because he took his dad's truck and wasn't supposed to. He knew his mom's work number and called her and I walked away as he began telling her what happened.

I was there for approximately 30 minutes. the police and fire dept. were so kind to me asking me for every little detail I had, which was none since I didn't witness the accident. When I arrived to my destination that night (shaking and crying almost the whole way), I looked on line for information and found NOTHING. Still to this day I have not heard anything about the accident. Not sure if the boy in the truck made it, but I did pray so hard for God to save him. I didn't care that I was bending over his body as people all around me were looking on at the accident scene. It's an experience I will never forget.

I came home and wrote about it in my journal and it took about 10 pages. I still have nightmares of seeing the boy under the trailer lying face down first. But then I think about how he sat up and I feel so much better. It will take time, but the wounds will heal.
It breaks my heart to read your stories, and I just..

hope that people will take the initiative and send letters to their representatives encouraging more uniform laws from state to state to make it harder for these sex offenders to stay below the radar.

My 3 letters are in the mailbox now.  I just used the format on Oprah.com, printed the addresses off, taped them to the envelope and sent them off.  Even doing something small can make a big change, and it makes you feel good.  The laws need to be MUCH tougher for these sex offenders.

I also think rape should be considered assault with a weapon, because they are using a part of their bodies as a weapon to injure another, and maybe if they charged them with that they would serve longer sentences.  Just an idea.

wow - thanks so much for sharing. i love those kind of stories. sm
i lost my sister when she was only 21 due to MVA and she had a 2-yo at the time that survived. i have often wondered if she had a choice or not because her child was her world, but the rest of her world was also misery too.
Our stories are very, very similar. Due to my severe depression sm
something horrible happened which I cannot speak of here. It is the main reason I found God, so you and I are alike in that matter.

As for God rescuing you like that - that is amazing. I guess we can just agree to disagree on this one. He saved you by showing you meds and saying it's okay to take them, and He healed me from my ailment without meds. Who is to say one is better than the other? That is why the saying goes that God works in mysterious ways!

I am happy for you! Continue to do what you are doing. I am not judging you. I only spoke to NCMT through my own experiences. We all have our own experiences.
Thank you! I appreciate you ALL sharing your life's stories with me. I read each sm
one and loved them! I think Chubby explained exactly what I was looking for - I think I DO need to watch what I eat PLUS exercise. I will start today! haha

Thank you all! I have NEVER stuck with anything long term so this will be a challenge. I appreciate your input!

I was watching some of the stories on youtube yesterday.

I wanted reach through my computer, grab that ole Warren Jeffs and ring his darn neck myself.  I was appalled at how many people fall for this.  I can understand if they were born into it not knowing any better, but older people that have been out and about and getting into it just slays me.  I guess it is like one of the girls interviewed said, it is more about control and power over another than sex.  She was talking about how Jeffs pulled some poor woman's braids, twisting it so hard that she fell to her knees and begged for mercy and he said "men, this is how you want your wives."  It just slays me how people can fall for Warren Jeffs, David Koresh, Charles Manson etc., hook, line and sinker. I know there is more out there.  These are just the ones who have been caught.

boy i'm slipping today, stories, not stores...

National Geographic animal stories
Especially the one about the bush dogs, or the Japanese snow monkeys. My sister says there's a sad one about a fox, too. Don't ever watch these right before you're expecting company, or going out! :(
That has to be one of the sweetest stories I ever heard. Just curious . .
Did you take the water, cookie and chips just to be nice, or did you have an interest already?  This was really adorable.  Good for you and good for him.  He sounds like a true gentleman.
Loved all the nature stories! Good stuff.
I enjoy my bird friends. Great entertainment value. Put out a sprinkler and watch the robins, cardinals some sort of little sparrow-like birds show up. They love a refreshing shower.
I'm sure a lot of people at the hospital are selling these types of stories
to the tabloid shows and the tabloids. Unfortunately, stories like this sell. Yes, whoever the source is should be fired.
I love that and can relate. Betcha have good stories :-) TY! nm

I wish news stories couldn't come out until the person is convicted

There's a local news story about an 18 year old star athlete who's been accused of rape by a 16 year old. He'd been accepted at a local university, who now is saying they won't hold a spot for him on the football team until the matter is resolved.

If it turns out to be untrue, chances are most people won't hear that tidbit. All they'll remember is the bad stuff. That's a shame.

I think pretty sad state when you know so many mamma baby daddy?? stories
I do not know of 1 and believe you me, live in a huge city, have children, grandchildren. I would hate to say that I was such a s___ that I did not know my babies daddy. Really disgusting.
