and everywhere, couldn't find anything.  Many apologies.  At least I got to tell my friend so she could call her family.

best friend is not family - he may only be his
best friend because he needs a place to live.  Some friends are for life, others not, but family is forever.
Yes. Sometimes I tell my best friend and maybe family
about the support that someone gave me, or just a laugh to two.  They think it is good that there is a place where we can get ideas, share things, etc.
A family friend's son in his 30s
He's had them since he was 2.  The majority have occurred in the shower.  Each time, he has hurt something or other (shoulder, leg, chest).  Each time he suffers a seizure, a little bit more is lost (mentally).  However, he holds a job at a huge bank, participates in the Special Olympics (and wins lots of medals).  He's in better shape physically than most of us and does truly have strength.  It sounds like Jett had more going on than just seizures.  It sounds like from the article he actually suffered from brain damage as well (mental retardation).  I am hoping his family can find peace with all of this instead of trying to blame.  When the Lord needs another angel there is not a thing anyone can do.  God Bless them all!
Any chance you could visit family or a friend...
for a few days when he leaves the dogs?  Or simply tell DH that you will only take care of your guys?  Let hubby experience what a job it is.  I have a cat and a large black lab and those two alone can keep me pretty busy.  Can't even imagine what you go through on a daily basis, let alone when you have extras.  I believe in karma, and you have a giant reward coming your way one of these days, as do many of you other kind-hearted posters.
Just be supportive and a loving friend/family member - sm
My son jokingly tells me that I have Super Gay-Dar because I have had a few friends out to me first.

When my friend Chris came out to me a few years after high school, he was a complete wreck.

He called me up one night after I had not heard from him for awhile and the conversation went something like this.

Him: I really have to tell you something (I could tell he was shaking terribly and just sounded so upset and scared.)

Me: Okay.

Him: I'm gay. There I said it.

Me: And?

Him: What do you mean AND?

Me: Are you serious? You think I DIDN'T know? How many times were we BOTH checking out guys "back pockets" in the mall? How many times did YOU help me pick out dresses for formal dances? How many times did my parents let you come over for slumber parties all the way through high school? Do you think they let ANY of my other guy friends do that? Did you notice there were no other GUYS at those sleepovers?

Him: He has such a funny loud, barking laugh and he just started laughing and then crying.

Me: You wouldn't be you if you tried to be a straight guy. You're more fun this way.

Him: I just love ya girlie, You're my bestest bestest girlfriend.

Me: You're my bestest bestest girlfriend too.

And that was that. We still laugh about it. He can always make me laugh.
I have a good friend who had it....
She did great. She said the key is to do EXACTLY as the doctor says - no cheating. She has lost 150 pounds, and looks and feels wonderful.
Cat UR such a Good Friend! But why
have I not heard from U. Did you get my new email. I have spent many frustrating moments here trying to report and change it..
A very good friend once said...

*If you can raise a puppy, then raising a child is easy...*

I think you are on the right track.  It's hard to remember that puppies need patience just like young children do.  I have a Corgi boy that did not train as fast as I thought he should, but he did get there after about 6-7 months.  For me, since it was my first time, I had no idea how long it would take.  It would probably go faster a 2nd time around.  From some reading I did, it sounded like it should be in a matter of days, and some dogs just do not fit that mold.

It reminds me of all those who told me their baby slept through the night at 6 weeks of age.  That did not happen for me until my 3rd child was born.  Each child and puppy are different.

1 best friend, 3 or 4 really good ones, and
lots of casual ones. My best friend lives clear across the country. :(
My other good friends are within 30-70 miles, I see them a couple times month, the other more casual ones, I see every week at the roller rink.
I have a good friend who used to be a stripper....sm
She was still a good person. You would never know she was a stripper just by meeting her. She didn't look the type. But she was. She said she made good money. She quit because she got tired of perverted men. She said they were degrading to you sometimes.
If your friend is good at measuring... sm

and cutting, certainly it can be done.  I re-did the floor with vinyl and it came out fine.  Learn from my mistake--make sure ALL lumps and bumps, no matter how small they seem, are smoothed out before the adhesive cures.  I had the counters done by a pro, but the guys were great and explained everything to me.  It actually *seemed* pretty easy, but I bought Corian solid surface, so it had to be cut in the factory and delivered.  Can the cabinets just be updated with new doors?  Go to a big hardware store (Lowe's, Home Depot) and check out their sample rooms.  This helped me determine what type of material to use, style of sink surround, colors, etc.  It took me over a month to decide what to get.  Have fun!  It's hard work, but I love DIY stuff.

If you are interested, I had to Google my countertop material and came up with this:  http://homerenovations.about.com/od/kitchens/a/artcounters.htm

I had same question. Daughter of good friend SM

had large wedding, married for less than two years, now she is getting married again.  She was very immature when she got married the first time.  Her parents never let her date and so she married the first guy she dated!

I suppose the nice thing is respect the first marriage "didn't count" and, hopefully, this one will.

A good friend of mine had a lap band
However there are a lot of hoops to jump through testing wise before you can have those procedures done including a psychiatrist.  Also if you do not follow the directions you can become sick, which means you cannot over eat and must exercise.  She is doing fine with it, but did it mainly because her back bothered her so much.  Come to find out her back is still an issue and she needs surgery to correct that.  So, if it is a last resort, I'd say it is worth a try, but I would not do it with all of the complications and risk of infections unless it is a serious must.
Good friend had this, had MANY complications, infections, PEG tube, ICU, etc. Put

A very good friend of mine had ablation and no regrets.
She has no more periods. This is just a little over a year, and she was having very serious problems, had to have transfusion twice due to the heavy bleeds prior. She was willing to try this before hysterectomy, and it worked for her.
Married good friend of my deceased husband
I knew him for over 30 years and yet didn't know him. He is very quiet, reserved, shy and when husband died called after 12 days to invite me to the zoo- I had no idea he had ever seen me to tell the truth. Bottom line months later he told me had loved me since the first day he saw me and "just waited."
any good crockpot recipes for family reunion? sm
we will be camping all weekend so i'd rather put something together in a crockpot and let it cook while i am having fun.  any good recipe ideas for family reunion?  main course to side dishes to desserts.
yeah. she checked in and checked out the same day--sm
said it was not for her.
a friend's b/friend died last year, drank, took vicodin...

Family is great but I am never back in my hometown where family is... So I always have extended fami
You can always pick your friends your stuck with your family. An Xmas for me is where my husband and kids come home to. It is what you make it!
Summer. Friends or family? Family. Tired or Awake?

Big difference between family values and family jewels, eh? lol
LOL. I love this show. I think Gene and Shannon and her sister are a riot! What characters. It really is amazing to me the kids seem so laid back and so normal. They seem like great kids.
Does your family still do the early Sunday dinner w/family?

Go get yourself checked out!

I'm only 34 and I had the darned same symptoms...everything hurt--fingers, arms, hands, jaw, neck, back, butt, even my hair, I swear!   I have a very high pain threshold too, but the constant aching and inability to get out of bed without feeling like I was just run over by a steam roller was just too much to take.  I think I let it go for about 2 years before calling for an appointment, thinking I could just work around the pain.

The thing that finally sent me to the doc's was that even exercising and walking didn't help with the pain, and it got to a point where it hurt too much to even do that.

Turns out I could have some form of connective tissue disorder, kinda like lupus but not.  My nurse gave me a prescription for simple naproxen and wow, what a difference.  I took it twice daily for the first week and I only need to take it every now and again.  I've totally kicked myself in the butt for not doing something about it sooner, but well, you know how that goes.

So, go get yourself checked out for pity's sake

you could also get her checked --sm
for feline diabetes, as not using the litter box is also a sign of this, along with recurrent uti's and eventually kidney failure. My vet says that feline diabetes has increased significantly over the past few years.
He obviously needs to get this checked out - sm
by the doctor, it may be time that he does need the help of some medication. Get him to his doctor pronto before it gets any worse.
Have you ever checked out
different lipstick brands and get disgusted when it takes 7 turns to get the lipstick out where you can use it? That's what I've noticed about some of the more expensive brands. If they turned quicker like Revlon I might have bought them. :o} (I don't remember if Estee Lauder is one of those).

Not sure if I'm lazy or just a stickler for efficiency. Ha!
Eww, I would have that checked
by a doctor to be on the safe side. Especially considering the bumps you said you can see on his eyeball.. that can't be good.
I checked this out and I think it looks
fascinating. My daughter was a bit grossed out. My son hasn't seen the video yet but he wants to go into medicine and I know when he see the video he will love it. My daughter and I are going to see Legally Blond the musical while hubby and son are going to see Blue Man Group (all 4 of us will see The Lion King). Maybe just a little mother/son bonding time at Bodies will be just the thing.
Get it checked.
My husband broke his at 18. When he was 30, he had to get angioplasty because he had 2 stenoses of subclavian. They are not sure if it was related to this injury or not. Still has weak/to absent pulse at left wrist.
Just checked it out !! So much fun...nm
x
Of course, this is after you have her checked out by your vet - nm
:-)
I would get it checked out.
Even without more symptoms I would urge him to get in to his regular doctor to get looked at. I have heard of people being nauseated, sweaty, short of breath with the pain of a heart attack but I also think it can be an individual thing and different with everyone.
I don't know but I would have him get it checked nm
x
You'd better get checked out.
I guess I've transcribed way too many neurology reports, but if I were you I'd get it checked out with possible an MRI of the brain.  Seriously, it's better to be safe than sorry.
Get it checked
To help you not worry. I had a lump once in the groin and it was because of a urinary tract infection. Although it sounds like yours is related to the bug bite. Better safe than sorry, I would just have the doc look at it.
Have you checked into how big she will get and
how long she will live? That seems like potentially quite an investment! lol
Checked them out, could not find
the higher price which I had to use, only the lower priced gas and then not at the Atlanta station I use which is south out of the city proper.
Just checked again and the post she
made on this very tired subjectg was, indeed today. She just responded to a comment made by my friend two days ago. I was sure of what I was saying, or I would have never said anymore about it.
I would get it checked since it is suddenly different and sm)
in just one eye. I have them too but I would get it checked if it was like yours. Just to be safe. Sorry for any typos - no contacts in yet this morning
Checked on divorcenet.com

Thanks to all who replied.  I stumbled on above website and it said no coverage for ex-spouses.  I really think this is some type of delaying tactic on his part--"have to wait for open season, etc," or get her to agree to take less child support even.  He changed jobs and had to submit the withholding order.  After 2 months, my daughter called and found out they did not have the paperwork for withholding.  She immediately sent the order.  He declared he had taken care of that.  He knew the child support was not coming out and he's still responsible for it.  Just don't trust him at all--

Good point about being independent.  Just so hard to do it all on her own.  Also had not thought about his having access to her health info.  Thanks again.

Get your thyroid checked.
x
Have you had thyroid checked?
It could be from a variety of things, but you might want to have your thyroid hormone levels checked.

Check out this website before you do, because many doctors aren't up on it they way they should be:

http://thyroid.about.com/
I might go get it checked, just in case (sm)
With all the pool infections and such going around...has he been swimming in a public pool lately?
Have you checked your thyroid?
Also read up on it, as the numbers many doctors use as the normal range really isn't accurate.
Tonya, perhaps you should be checked sm
Tell the doc or get a diabetes test from the drug store. My MIL did this and had a sugar problem which was solved with diet. I hope not, but save yourself some worry; caught early, most problems can be solved with diet alone.
Get checked out ASAP
It might not be serious but no sense in taking any chances. Definitely don't think it would have anything to do with vision or viewing monitor for any length of time ... more of a neuromuscular thing.

Let us know how you come out. We are thinking of you!
Have you had your thyroid checked?
I have hypothyroidism and before it was diagnosed was absolutely freezing, sounds like what you describe, could not get warm. That would be where I would start because being cold all the time is 1 of the symptoms. In the meantime, do as I did. Got a heated throw and that can be used around your shoulders, over the legs, throw on the bed to heat your covers, so glad I invested in one.
I would have her checked by an endocrinologist
to evaluate precocious puberty. I've also read that hormones from meat & dairy can prompt this, but there are cases where there is something structural going on, & I would want to have this ruled out.
If you hit your head, get it checked out

I think chances are good we'll find that Billy had a hemorrhage, much like Natasha Richardson.  I just lost an older cousin to this very same syndrome last weekend.  He fell and hit his head, but refused to go the doctor and died two days later.

Head injuries are nothing to mess around with, even if they seem benign at first.
