No Epidural

Had epidural with my first child but had to due to consistently high blood pressure and complications with delivery. Unfortunately due to complications, I was hospitalized for 5 days. I did not have an epidural with my second child. Had my son at 8:49 a.m., only needed 2 Tylenol afterwards for pain and was up on my feet by 5 p.m. that evening. Doc said she would D/C me but I played it cautious and stayed overnight. Went Christmas shopping the next day!

Epidural or not?
Hey all.  I am pregnant with my first child and am not sure if I want an epidural or not.  I have heard that they can cause back pain in the future from having them and I am not overly thrilled about the needle in my back anyway.  I was wondering is there anyone who has had a child with an epidural and maybe another child without an epidural and how do you compare the two.  For those who only had natural childbirth, was it too hard to handle.  I'm not too big of a baby, but I am not really fond of pain.  TIA
No epidural if you can do without, and you can. JMHO. nm
