I have nothing against any religion as long as people keep it to themselves. You would be teaching my child reading, math, history, etc. Everything they need to graduate and grow into adults. I would not care what you wear or what you look like. So many Christians will reply with oh, we're so oppressed, everything is being taken away from us. Puuleeese. Everywhere you turn around it is the opposite. All we want is for people to keep their religion to themselves, practice in your own church, temple, mosque or wherever you want, just stop trying to convert others. By putting a religious book out in public view is a form of intimidation. That's just the same as if someone had set up the jewish menorrah (don't know how to spell that), or any other religious artifact - it does not belong. There is a time and place for everything. If they feel so strongly about having a bible out for everyone to see on their desk then they should go teach at a religious school. I don't want my kids influenced into any religion they don't want to join. As a side note....my aunt (she is in the charasmatic movement) has a van (from their church) and they drive around "saving" the children in their area. They also serve cookies and milk and get all the kids into one big group then profess the words of the bible and Jesus to them and by the end of the day all these children have been saved (and they are one step closer to holiness). I'll bet you any money not one of them ever didn't go along with what all their freinds were doing. It's just wrong and the madness should stop. We're not trying to take anything away from anyone, we are trying to stop it from being shoved down our throats, being told we are in the "wrong" religion, etc. Never mind the people who don't believe or are of the Wiccan faith. They're the ones that really get ridiculed.
