the school he goes to has two counselors. they both tried talking to him a few days after the incident in the cafeteria happened. they said he wouldn't even acknowledge that they were there. they couldn't get him to talk at all. and no one bothered to even tell me they tried to talk to him. i actually went to the counselors to see if they could try talking to them, and that's when i found out that they had tried. it would've been nice if they would've told me that. his pediatrician recommended couseling, we went to a psychologist twice, she thinks he needs medicine so he can relax and open up. so that's the extent of his professional help. i feel alone about this. i hear bad things about kids being on medicine like this. but what else is a parent supposed to do. my kid doesn't open up and talk about his feelings. my husband is the same way.
