It's fine that you all love animals so much, but you need to take a step back and look at this situation. Cats are animals, not people. No, I don't believe in torturing any animal, not even a rate.
However, 2 children - human beings - who would do this to another living thing need your compassion not your judgment and unfounded hatred. These 2 kids have been damaged by someone in their lives, or they will not be inflicting this cruelty on a cat.
Instead of having them tortured or put in solitary confinement, let's hope they get therapy so they at least have a shot at repairing their damaged psyches.
In this day and age when any celebrity can walk away from Murder, DUI, beating a photographer's car, etc., and Scooter Libby gets a pardon for his heinous acts, 3 years for killing a cat is way too extreme.
You women need a reality check.
