Reality show fan too! What do you think of Rock of Love?

LOL! And I Love New York from Flavor of Love! Surreal Life. lol. These are the best entertainment these days if you ask me. And there are so many I can't even remember all of them.

Also love Top Chef, America's Top Model, American Idol, etc., and that hair show called Shear Genius with Jacklyn Smith. Hope that comes back.

I had to get something similar to TIVO so I could record all of my shows!!!!

Rock of Love
I just got done watching. I'm so glad Lacey is gone. I really like Jes. Most of the other women that were on the show were just too trampy for me. I have the feeling he's going to pick Heather though. I love all the shows you mentioned. How about I Love NY? She's from here in Syracuse. Feel free to email any time to talk about the shows. The same goes for JMR down below.
I love an alternative rock band called
Minus the Bear and so does my 15 yo son.
lol I thought of Brett Michaels and Rock of Love
or whatever his show was called. lol
I love this show.
It is interesting to me how the views change regarding this show in respect to poligamist themselves. Just from different interviews about this show. Some say the "heated scenes" don't occur and that the sexual act is for procreation period, whereas others say "we are human too". Surely there has to be. Nicki cracks me up playing them all against each other. I think Chloe Sevigny is just a mess. This roll was made for her.
I love that show! sm
It's fascinating. But it makes me so mad sometimes to see what people have had to go through to *finally* get the correct diagnosis. Some people they've shown were so close to dying, so very sick, and were being told nothing was wrong.

It makes me wonder how many people aren't lucky enough to find the right doctor to help them, and just continue to suffer and even die. Horrible.
I love that show!
the first time I saw the show was 4 or 5 years ago.  I love the part where the camera comes up under their water bowel when they are drinking water.
Love the Show Too
My daughter and I started watching last season. Boy, they do waste food, don't they. I'm not sure who has a chance this year. I guess as the weeks go on...hopefully it'll get better, but after seeing the previews for next week, maybe not.
And what does God say he wants us to do to show him we love him? sm
To care for the sick and less fortunate, to defend those who are weak and cannot defend themselves, to treat everyone with love and kindness. To love your neighbor as yourself. If we all did that instead of judging everyone, we would probably not be chasing people away from Christianity.
It is just the love they can show...sm
You would have to own one. Mine touches my heart. I can't explain it. But he has a geniune love for me. For instance, I went to Walmart this evening and on the way home my husband called and said your dog is depressed looking out the windows for his mama and whining. He shows such genuine love it is just amazing. He waits for me at the door of the bathroom when I get a bath and will whimper and stick his paw under the door. How can you hate an animal capable of such love? It touches me.
As much as I love the show...
I'm afraid it's "jumping the shark". While I would hate to work with/for anyone like him, I loved his all-knowing arrogant self. Frankly, I'm not impressed by his journey to self-discovery...sure, it was nice when he (re)found with Selma Ward (I think that's who it was) and I find it interesting to find out clues to what make him who he is. I enjoy his occasional hiccups of compassion. But all the goofy stuff they've got him doing...like openly not accepting Kuttner's death (which is whole 'nother beef); the Good Ol' House may been bothered but he'd have not let anybody know. And his hallucinations of Amber/CHB just are out of character and almost seem, in my opinion, to waste precious story time. I watch for the medical crap (and to hear them mispronounce things) and to see House being House, not John Edwards channeling dead people.

Get him back to basics, please!!!
Not irritating me, love the show, always have
and watched it since it first started, think he is not a singer but do not vote and have seen better voted off year after year, just what ever floats your boat. The person who is supposed to win will, bottom line.
yep..i love the show, my favorite.
jeffrey, the nut job...is freaky, bet he ends up in jail
I love this show- it's great and I want to go to NYC just to be on it!! nm
nm
I used to love the show but this year
cannot get into it for some reason. I was not liking the fact that they did the Beatles twice- is there not enough music in the world to play that same ole routine? I am just not into it as I have been in the past.
I love NYC, and I think everyone should go to see a B'way show at least once in their lives.
But if you're ever interested in doing a shorter, probably less expensive theater trip, don't forget about Philadelphia. Lots of Broadway shows come to Philly. The Lion King, Wicked, The Producers -- they've all been here. The casts can be different, but no less amazing. One of the best nights of my life was seeing Yul Bryner in the King and I in Philadelphia. Amazing! This past Saturday night I saw Michael York play King Arthur in Camelot with Rachel York was Gunavere. I just bought a subscription to the Walnut Street Theatre in Philly and will see Man of LA Mancha, Peter Pan, The Price, the Odd Couple and Les Mis next season, along with Amadeus at the Wilma Theatre.
No, it's not quite Broadway -- not the lights, not the hustle and bustle, not the exact casts. But, for a shorter trip for less money, a quick weekend without the kids perhaps, you can see amazing theatre in Philly, too. And when it comes to food and restaurants, Philadelphia has a well earned reputation as a foodie city.
Enjoy your time in NYC! If you're ever in Philly, drop me a line!
I love those guys and can't wait for the show!
o
Love the show but was very aggravated too. The biggest reason I think Marcel is there is because
he is using "gastronomy" (not sure if that is exactly right), but what it boils down to he is using chemicals to increase the flavor in different ways without it affecting the way the food looks, etc.
Reality channel!??!!??
Not available here.
You hope but in reality nah
probably having before now and sure afterwards.
All done in the name of good TV. Reality TV

Easy to say but in reality husbands do not
understand everytime a baby comes in, some can feel threatened by the new one, some can be jealous. You should never ignore your hubby just to give attention to your child. Make sure both have what each needs. One day the child will be grown and out and you might (just minght)be stuck with the same man - although now days not a sure thing!
No reality check needed here (sm)

as far as any animal abuser goes.  These are not little children--these are TEENAGERS.  Dollars to doughnuts they've done this before....They were just caught this time.

You are right, cats are animals and not people.  Animals cannot speak for themselves.  They cannot call anyone for help.  They cannot defend themselves against the ultimate predator--us, but yet we brought them into this world to make our lives richer.  It is therefore our responsibilty to ensure their safety.

You are fortunate you can stay naive to such atrocities commited against animals and can shrug it off as just a couple of messed up girls who need a hug.   It's just a newspaper clipping to you.

time for a reality check -
I heard this piece of wisdom recently.  Judge men by what they do, not what they say, and you will never have any doubts about their intents.
Santa reality sets in sm
Think it's harder for the adults to accept than the parents, but kids love to squeeze the last they can out of Dear Old Santa. They know but will go along to get along. I would just play the same game by telling them you know someone who had a kid who spoiled Christmas for little kids by telling them there was no Santa. "What do you think of that?" They know, just have to work it out with them.
Yes it was gone during sentencing and REALITY final sank in
He has gotten away with too much, road rage incident, a domestic situation when his daughter called the cops on him and others. He is a loose cannon and finally got shot down.
You mistake the visible appearance for the inner reality. sm
The old "ball of cells" theory doesn't wash unless you would care to start at 9 months and work your way backward day by day and tell me on what day the line of demarcation is crossed and how you arrive at that conclusion. The process of development is continuous, unbroken, and has only one fate - a human fate. There is no point that you can identify at which the developing embryo becomes "a person".
I agree. Facing reality 24/7 is the only side effect of quitting pot
Must be something more. Get him to a physician so he doesn't cave in. Then, I'd reevaluate your relationship as you may not be as in love with him as you think.
I missed the show but yesterday on her show
a couple of brothers came in and gave money to the family. Sorry I don't have more info, but like you, I do love the show. The brothers tried to give some of the credit to Oprah but she wouldn't take it. She really wanted the brothers to get all the credit.
You rock! Thanks.
Good sprinkler for a noodlehead like me.
Rock On! Same here..
after 20 years of carting my kids, their friends, sports equipment, saddles, and of course helping half the planet move -- my youngest just got his license and I got myself a ragtop (2-seater) Saturn Sky. I may be old and pudgy, but I'm having a BLAST and it's all mine, mine, mine! Enjoy
PUGS ROCK!!! (nm)
.
sheet rock
I have seen this painted and I have also seen people do sheet rock mud over it to smooth the lines.  We have paneling that I hate.  Bought MIL's house.  Hubby loves it.  Too dark but in great condition  We are just going to put sheet rock on top and go from there.
under rock I suppose...
sorry, just never heard that one before...pardon moi!
Now that is very sweet. Rock on, ma!
:)
Better climb under a rock,
or have all the posts been there for years? Nothing new. Liz Taylor stole Eddie Fisher from his wife, then had affair with Richard Burton (who was married)- hmmm guess they were way past their prime (also dead) to make to DWTS- this happened in the 60s and Ingrid Bergman (in the 40s) had twins with a guy she was not married to (married to someone else.) Like I said, better just go to a remote island and be alone for it not to happen.
Schoolhouse Rock
I love those! I want to get them for my 7-year-old son. I learned so much from all of them, especially the preamble to the constitution. Your kids are gonna enjoy them!
Fraggle Rock

I love Fraggle Rock.  We got a couple DVDs for my friend and I got some for myself and made the kids watch it.  :-)

FYI - Rock Band
We were going to trade in 1 guitar for the rock band set and were told the Rock Band still has a lot of kinks to work out and the sales person advised us to wait until after this Christmas as it will probably be the big thing for Christmas and the problems will be worked out.

I would love to get the 80's one too! I didn't know they had that! My husband was a DJ in highschool and I bet he would love that. Ok, that's now on his xmas list. lol Thanks!
I must live under a rock...
as I did not know that either! Not that there's anything wrong with that
What rock do you find these kind of men under?...

You are not respected in your marriage. Tell him to go by himself, save his own money and take your kids somewhere YOU want to go while he is gone. Please don't say that other than this he is a wonderful father, good provider, yada,yada...he has no respect for you or your opinion, which cancels out any good attributes, IMHO of course....

Remember Schoolhouse Rock? I just got the 2-set DVD from sm

our local library.  My kids are loving it! They are 3 and 5 and 11. All boys.  The 3 year old loves it the most.

I can't believe how much I'm learning! I just learned a few things on the song "I'm just a Bill, sitting on Capital Hill!" HAHA

Between a rock and a hard place - HELP!

Okay, back towards the end of last school year some mothers decided to have a coo at the elementary school and take over the PTO for this coming year from the ones that had been running it.  Shortly after that, the now ex-pres moved in next to us.  The neighbor across the street is now on the "new" PTO.  Somehow, they didn't elect a president for the coming year though and they came knocking on my door "oh you'll be great, we'll do all the work, we just need you to run the meetings, etc".  Well, I let the principal know that I would and now am regretting it.  I have a full-time job plus type part-time at night (switching to just weekends when school starts).  My husband is gone during the week so that leaves me to take care of kids, homework, games and practices, etc.  I get calls and emails all day long regarding PTO.  I thought about just sticking it out for the school year (I do have the flexibility to be off or leave early, come in late from my full time job) because I really want to be more involved in the school since my child is going into the second grade.  Well, the final straw was a few nights ago when a bunch of us parents were sitting in our driveways watching the kids playing.  It wasn't until after the ex-pres comes outside (she hasn't talked to any of us since all that happened), that the neighbor across the street starts talking PTO stuff at a level that the ex-pres can hear (I never replied to her about anything).  My husband went ballistic!  We came in the house and he said that was uncalled for, we need to move, and that he's very upset about me taking on the role of president.  SO, what do I do now?  How do I gracefully back out but not get shunned from being up at the school and helping out with some activities?

The other story with that neighbor across the street that has bugged me this week - everything my child gets (we are not frivilous by any means), she makes sure her kids get the same things, even down to the exact same pair and color or tennis shoes for school, clothes, bicycles and now, the yard ornaments that we have had in our yard, i see she has bought some and are now in her yard also.  I cringe now when I see her but I hate to keep my child from playing in the front yard just because her kids are out there (same age).  Any ideas on this too???

What a crappy week!!!

I need room under the rock, I didn't know either.

Navy Seals ROCK! sm

I am not surprised they were able to accomplish the rescue.  Have you seen those shows where they detail what exactly the training they go through entails and you watch people actually going through the training?  It is brutal.  Those guys who make it to the end are the cream of the crop.  Once again our military comes through!  I am so happy about the good outcome!

spent NYE playing Rock Band for PS2
a lot of fun though discovered I'm never going to be a drummer (or a singer) :) So I guess I won't quit my day job.
Were you at all aware of the 60s and 70s? That's exactly what the bulk of rock stars WERE doing!
fffff
Adam Sandler, Michael Jordan, The Rock (sm)
How's that for variety? LOL!
My 7th grader is doing the Schoolhouse Rock as a musical this spring! nm
