You said: We can cook out ALL WE WANT but we cannot have bonfires going. We live in a county where there is NO outside burning, be it your old cars or your BARBECUE. ??? So what is it? LOL. You may as well live in an apartment complex. I would NEVER buy a house in one of those *monitored* neighborhoods, everyone I know that does hates it. What is the point? I live in a beautiful neighborhood/home where I make the rules and the neighbors are great. We also get to put holiday decorations on our homes/lawns and don't have to ask permission what type of decorations are and are not allowed, etc. Or what color/size garbage cans we all should have. LOL It is too bad you feel you have to live in a *monitored* community to have a nice home and decent neighbors. That is definitely not the case, everywhere; unless you live near or are surrounded by bad areas. : )
