Since your hair isn't really long, 60 is ridiculous. I stopped sm

paying my hairdresser because I didn't like paying 45 and my hair is pretty long and I like to keep it layered and styled and colored right, too. There are way too many good stylists out there who charge way less, even in the big cities, and I wouldn't waste my time there. Move on. They are ripping people off.

I'm all about stylists and people in the service industry making a living, but 50.00 for the half would even be better than that.

Long hair....
I am 35 years old and have very long curly hair.  My mother-in-law thinks I am going to have to cut it soon.  (This is coming from the lady who goes to the hairdresser and asks for the Moe!)  She says people over 40 look silly with long hair.  I think she is nuts.  I will keep my hair no matter what my age.  Do what you want and don't let a few old hags make you feel bad!
I used it a million yrs ago when I had very long hair. It

I hate that my hair is long
I'm 45 and my hair has gotten very long, down past my shoulder blades. I've been growing it for two years for Locks of Love. I've always wanted to donate to Locks of Love, but I've had my hair no longer than shoulder length for over 20 years. Since they want undyed hair, I know that time is running out for me! At 45, I'm beginning to find gray hairs now and then. Yes, I know that's great to not have had gray hair until now! I think that if I can hold off until Christmas or so, it will be long enough to cut and donate. But, I do not like having it long in the heat. It's very thick, so it takes forever to dry, and well, at my age, long, straight hanging hair on a pudgy woman with wrinkles just looks silly. :)
I will be 46 next week and have very long hair...sm
I am fat and don't think I look silly with long hair.  I also color it red.  I did the donating thing 3 years ago and cut my hair short and really missed my long hair, started growing it out within a month after donating it.   I live in Texas, so it gets hot, but when it is too hot to keep the hair down I use clips or ponytail holders, no biggy.  I do need to get a trim though, as I figured out the other day I have not cut my hair since last December, so it really could use some trimming up.  I will probably keep my hair long until I have a reason not to, but long hair is definitely not for everyone, as it can be quite the hassle at times.
love my long hair
I'm approaching 50 and my hair is waist length. Like Patti, I don't look or act my age and people are surprised when they learn my age.

I will, however, never forget being in New Orleans and sitting at a bar next to a man who was a hair stylist who told me I was too old to wear my hair that long. He thought I should cut it to just at my shoulders, and honestly, it probably looks better that way...BUT, I love my long hair, and he was an admitted "tri-sexual" (when I asked what that was, he said he would try anything!!!) lol!
I've always kept my hair long..sm

You can do some very chic styling with french braids, cingons, up-dos, french twists when you need to.

Since it grows so quickly, I've been able to donate to locks of love a coupla times...Right now after a shearing it's just below my shoulder blades....

All of us have bad hair days, but some folks have no hair days.  Please consider donation if you are so inclined.  Cat

I don't have a problem with long hair on boys
but I do have a problem with not keeping it nice. There are a lot of men and boys with long hair that looks good. His is all stringy and icky looking. My son has a longer hair style and thinking about going longer with it but we have had the talk about still looking nice and having some sort of style to it. The minute he doesn't, it goes. Kinda like wearing dirty clothes out of the laundry basket. Sure every kid wants to do it and you have to piok your battles but mine isn't going to walk out of the house looking like no one cares enough to make sure he is a clean, well taken care of, and well fed boy.
I have long, thick hair. I found over the years that I get what I pay for. So now I pay around 55-60
,
37 y/o and I still have long thick blond hair to my bottom! sm
I have had long hair my entire life...and will probably keep it that way for many, many years to come. I used to be a very blond when I was young, but the older I get the darker it gets....so I do a nice color on it to keep it blond. I have a 13y/o daughter and we are looking more like sisters than mother/daughter..but I am not trying for that at all. I jut love my hair and dont care who else does or does not.
Holy smokes, I have thick, long brown hair
$50.00 for cut and color and my hairdresser does a wonderful job.
I have long, thick, curly hair and so does my daughter...we use Cowboy Magic..sm
You can find it where horse products are found!! It can be used on horse manes or on human hair. I believe they have a website to, but I have always bought it at our local TSC store. This stuff is awesome!!! It can be used on wet or dry hair. You put about a quarter size amount in the palm of your hand and then rub it through your hair. I use a bit more on my daughter, as she is much more tangled than I get. Her hair always looks so shiney and healthy.. and smells great too!! Give this a try, it should help greatly!
I was referring to my own hair, people hair. nm

I also stopped some luxuries....sm
I used to like to get my nails done...cut that out. Would occasionally have someone help clean the house. Can't do that any more. If I take the kids to do anything for entertainment I look for coupons. I used to go clothes shopping fairly often but don't do that anymore either.
Neither do I, but it hasn't stopped me ;)

Depends if it is long with pregnant pause um no. If it is long and juicy like an op YEP! Short ones

It stopped when parents decided to....

be friends with Susie and Tommy rather than parents. They want their kids to like them, don't want to hurt the poor little ones feelings or harm their self-esteem. Instead of rules they compromise, instead of depriving them of certain things these parents lavish them with every material thing they can for fear of being called a bad mom or dad. It's easier to buy the kid stuff and let them do what they want rather than buck up and be a parent. You all know who you are out there. I have to laugh when I see the 12-year-old who is dressed like a 22-year-old who is at the mall with her 35-year-old mother who is dressed like a 12-year-old. I also think the role models in the home have a lot to do with it too. Mom and dad probably don't respect each other, argue, use foul language, what is a kid to do but think that's the way relationships work. Many parents today are raising the furture  princess whiny-give me-buy me and prince disrepectful-treat women like crap-selfish adults of tomorrow. We are doomed!

Stopped immediately when put in hospital
unable to catch my breath, almost white-out of my lungs. Put on Theophylline, steroids, face looked like the man in the moon but the theophylline the worst. I was eating cigs before then. After 2 weeks in the hospital and being on that particular medicine, never wanted to smoke again and didn't - that was in 1998, Thanksgiving Day to be exact, so sick I didn't want the turkey and dressing.

I should have stopped reading after the first paragraph.
Is this funny? Maybe I've had an easier time of being a woman. I can even pee in the woods without soaking my socks!
i stopped night driving when I was 48....

I live in a huge metropolis where everyone on the road is nasty.....gave up night driving at 48 due to problems seeing with the red, green, orange-yellow traffic lights PLUS headlights and rear lights.

I also have just given up driving all together...people are too nasty on the road.......I never did like driving, let my permit expire when I was 16 - never had a huge interest in driving.....just me is all.......

My children drive and all my friends drive so there's no problem whatsoever *lol*

Well, he finally stopped when he became hungry enough. sm
But I read all of your responses and I thank you. Of course, now he's coming up to me all kinds of sweet and asking me for bananas, cookies, Goldfish crackers (his favorite).
Hey, at least he isn't eating pancakes...
One day our pastor stopped by for a visit

and my son, who was 5 then, was talking to him.  The pastor asked my son what time his bedtime was and he replied, "it's s'posed to be 9 o'clock, but mommy says we piss 'round till 10."  I almost died of embarrassment.  Unfortunately, pissin' is a word I use quite often and never realized how much kids picked up on it.  Thankfully, the pastor laughed and said he understood completely as he grew up on a farm and there was a lot of that going on there.

sounds like me! I recently stopped to gas up my car sm
and put the gas thingie in my gas tank and squeezed the handle, but no gas would come out...hmmm...I decided the reason for this was that this gas pump was broken and so got in my car and drove around to the other side. Again, put in the nozzle and squeezed the handle and....no gas! What the heck? I honestly stood there for 2 minutes trying to figure out the situation before I realized I had to push the button on the gas pump to select the grade of fuel...DUHHHH! I've only been driving for 30 years... Tee-hee!
I haven't heard anymore about this-maybe they were stopped

They came here to PA to protest a soldier's funeral this winter.  The only thing they hadn't planned on was the fact that the town where the funeral was held was so small, there was one main street in and out...and that was blocked by the Harley riders and others, so they didn't get in.

I stopped watching a couple of years ago....
whatever did happen to Carter? I loved when he was on there. How in the heck did Luka and Abby get together again??? I know he was with that nurse and her son and that's it. I did see one commercial where Abby was pregnant? I'm sure I'm way out of the loop now. It just ain't like it used to be.
that's why i stopped sending Christmas cards
I never got any in return. That's not why I was sending them out, but why waste all that time and energy if nobody cares about it?

My sisters and nieces and nephews and I stopped
exchanging gifts several years ago.  My mom and dad and my family stopped exchanging gifts a couple of years ago.  This year, my 2 grown children and my husband and I agreed to keep Christmas very, very simple.  One gift each.  No big major spending.  We have a new grandson who is a week old and, of course, he will receive gifts from us, but, even for him the spending will be kept to a minimum this year 'cause he won't know the difference.  Maybe you need to just tell your family that you've decided to cut back this year.  They may not understand, but you should not have to stress about such a beautiful time of the year.  I know that I am actually looking forward to the holidays for the first time in a long time because I'm not so concerned about how I'm going to be able to buy gifts for everybody.  We are by no means rich people, but we do have what we need and a lot of what we want.  There is really nothing that any of us needs.  We are truly blessed.
My son's insurance stopped paying for Zyrtec
changed recently. I guess it's nice for people that don't have insurance but when a med goes OTC you can't exactly use it as a medical expense on your taxes anymore
Hubs had same reaction with another Abx for same thing a few months ago. Stopped after

But stopped watching about 2 seasons ago -think Chase lost it.

Stopped at the Italian market for hot capicolla and provolone..
I also picked up some bread, olives and roasted peppers. So we're having sandwiches. I'll probably make some broccoli rabe and throw some soup on, too.

We call it "dinner" in this part of the country. I'm fascinated by regional language differences.

(From the land where water is wooder.)
Can't be that. I stopped reading your posts to her awhile back.
She laughed a lot, but it was making her vomit so I had to stop.

Thanks for yet another one of your brilliant brain dumps. They're much better for the tulips than the horse manure we were buying.
I had it during my pregnancy a long, long time ago. Husband
aa
This worked for me, but I needed such a high dose to feel it, so I stopped. Doing much
s
Ok, I just asked my husband, and he doesn't do it anymore because it stopped working
He said that he kept e-mailing them to get a new scanner, but they never sent him one, and their customer support is horrible. He said that he finally stopped doing it a few months ago because he gave up on them.
they stopped making Chocolate Cherry Diet Dr. Pepper
I feel your pain!!!!
How long is too long to wait for Pap results?
This is a follow up Pap for an abnormal one a few months back.  I have waited for the results for over a month and have called the office once.  Any advised about being a patient patient - LOL.  Its hard when your in this business, I think anyway, not to be more aggressive about stuff like this.
No, I'm sorry. That is beyond ridiculous to have
your children living with someone you hate and hates you so that they can be near a football coach? And then to have to ask advice for how to handle it that you each hate each other? This is her KID, for Lord's sake! She has him living with someone who hates her over a coach? Sorry, but situations like this are only contributing to the delinquency of this world. That is just plain shameful, and I will NOT apologize for thinking so.
Think it is ridiculous for all of this
graduation for small children, pomp and circumstance, proms next or are they doing those already at this age also? Why not make an overall speech to the individual class about how much all appreciated instead of handing out "rewards." That is why the kids getting out of control, it starts really early, don’t want to leave anyone out and it just escalates from there on.
This is ridiculous!
I knew the gas prices were going up, up,up but I have just checked a hotel/airplane package from my city to Las Vegas for 4 days and on Delta today it was $4,545.81!  Yes, I am in the US. I do not know whether to book today or wait until these prices go down!! Anyone else want to join me for that price??
This is ridiculous

This couple is looking for $50,000 to not abort their child...talk about a scam.

Well I think it's ridiculous!

Come on now, they've been together for what, 24 hours, and he's madly in love...engaged! Please... just last week he was popping pills and booze, mourning his poor dead wife.  Now he's all snuggled up to Donna, who by the way, looks just freaky to me...I think it's really just d*u*m*b...oh, but it is a soap, right?

ridiculous
I don't know what is wrong with today's kids. I don't know if they are not being taught right from wrong at home or what it is, but it is getting to the point that I don't even want my kids going to school and being exposed to these kinds of people! By no means am I a teacher, and I do understand that one day they will have to go to school, but there is no call for this. And on the "sex offender", it doesn't seem to me that he was a legal adult, and an age gap of 3 years is not all that much. I heard on the radio here about how a teenager in high school was slapped with sex offender because he smacked a girl's butt at school. THAT ticked me off. They made the sex offender registry for a reason, not for little high school kids and their parents to abuse.
Seems ridiculous to me
That anyone would think that way. If someone has a stable relationship then "dancing" should have no impact on it. It's a harmless show for goodness sake that takes a lot of hard work. I do know that, I think it was the year before last, (I don't watch religiously)Kristy Swanson and her partner ended up together and he was married at the time, but their relationship must not have not been very stable if this show broke them up. As another poster mentioned actors and actresses do it all the time in their jobs.
Well, I am sorry that you think it's ridiculous for me to think this way.
Stable relationship or not, there is no man on earth who could resist (Jesus was even tempted!) a woman when dancing close to her like that. Stability has nothing to do with it. It's wrong no matter how you look at it. I'd like to see you give your hubby up to one of those dancers to practice with them 6 nights a week 10 hour days for 3 months straight. Would you do it, LinK?
It seems ridiculous because it is - sm
You are not ready to divorce.  This issue has not been worked through yet.  You have too much unfinished business with your marriage.  You have got to get back to a marriage counselor.  If hubby will not go, go alone.  It may be you decide things will not work out, but I urge you to turn explore every avenue before throwing in the towel.  Then if you do leave him, you will know you did all you could and not need to look back.  Best of luck.
Really??? That is ridiculous sm
Bleeding the beast? What happens to these people's logic?
Ridiculous.........
I suppose the news needs some garbage to throw out there to get attention. This is not a man, but a woman, with the body parts to have a child. Just no breasts. So what now, does a woman with a mastectomy suddenly become a man? Pleeeeezzze!!!! I do feel for that child. How in the world do you explain all this? Then again, if the child grows up among it all, probably won't think twice about it.....this will be the norm for that child.

I thought I would be sick watching Oprah oooh and aaah over this person, A MAN GIVING BIRTH........what a joke!
That's ridiculous, isn't it? There should be
continue to hire new workers when existing workers aren't able to get enough work to live on.
actually I don't think everyone else is ridiculous
I used to believe the same things myself.

As far as having an innate knowing, I believe deep down we all feel we have a hole inside if you will. I know when I was searching and seeking I felt that. Yet when I found Jesus, it was like he filled that hole.

I believe that it requires faith to believe. That is why we don't have an innate knowledge.

I believe that if someone doesn't have Jesus they cannot comprehend all that the Bible has to say. That is why we need the Holy Ghost, to interpret for us. I read the Bible at least three times cover to cover before I accepted Christ. I could have been reading a different language for all I understood. After accepting him though, I started to understand, and parts of Scripture stood out like neon lights when I needed them.

I used to believe that everyone could get to heaven any ol' way they wanted, just as long as they were good people. Now I know that isn't true. If we could get to heaven by good works, why did God have to send his Son to die?

I have studies on this a lot. Like I've said before, I was practically dragged kicking and screaming to Christ :) I did not want to accept what I knew as the truth. Why? Because doing so meant giving up my own selfish wants and needs. Giving up my own fleshly desires. No more going out and living crazy and doing what I wanted. But you know what? I owe Him that. He died for me. And you. And that is regardless of whether you believe Him or not. That's the amazing thing. He died knowing that even 2000 years later people would be practically spitting on Him. (Not saying that you personally are, but there are a lot of people who do)

Anyways check out that site, and if you are truly searching, I urge you to really check out that book by Josh McDowell. Ravi Zacharias is also an amazing apologist that really opened my eyes and helped me to understand a lot. He has a website with some essays and he also has a bunch of books (you can find them at Lifeway and I'm sure other bookstores).

If you ever want to talk, please email me. I know what it's like to be searching and to not know what you believe. I ran from God for so long, but when I finally came to Him I didn't understand why I had run for so long. No, life will not be a piece of cake if you become a Christian. More likely, you will endure hardship and trials and tribulations. But this life here is a blink of an eye compared to the eternity we spend with Him after.

Just imagine the things that could be done in this world if everyone allowed God to work through them and to bring forth the talents that he has given them. It would just be amazing!

Times are going to get hard soon, and people are going to have to make a choice. I know my Lord will be here when it is all said and done. I pray that you will be there with us!

That's ridiculous
What do they expect, for you to call every 5 minutes just in case they come up with something else? "This is me calling to see if you have made any plans in the last 5 minutes." Totally stupid.

I would have to wonder if they wanted me there.
