Someone once cross-stitched a beautiful

personalized picture for me that I will always treasure. She put it in one of those hoops and I hang it on my wall. Something personally made by you like that would be special but I also agree with flowers and a nice card like the other poster said.

A beautiful picture and a beautiful message. s/m
Here's wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving Day!  We truly do have a lot to be thankful for.
No you cross a bridge to get there - not far enough out (sm)
to warrant a ferry or plane. But it is truly surrounded on all three sides, and you couldn't wade or swim across...lol. It is a port town, and they have a huge shrimp boat festival there every year with all sorts of artsy vendors and such. There is an old saloon there called the Palace Saloon which was supposedly the old hangout for pirates and smugglers who went through the area. Here are a couple of links if you are interested in reading or seeing pics :)

did it cross your mind that if sm
you sty you are abusing your child and setting yourself up to be hurt? Get out now ND worry about it later. If he has been doing this for years why don't you already have enough proof? Have you been doing the wishy-washy thing all along? There is no excuse. You re no better mother than he is a father and husbnd if you continue to keep your child there.
I hitchhiked cross country twice when...

I was a teenager....and survived!

No way...driving cross country just as..
we do every year. DH and I take the month of May off for vacation and drive a Ford Explorer. Yes I have a large vehicle and no I don't feel guilty about having it It comes down to being economical in other ways. We use a credit card for the whole trip for gas and hotels, etc and get a 5% rebate. The vacation money is already put away in the bank so when we get back I just write a check for the bill. We have some of the highest gas prices here in the west and always figure it is a treat to head east and watch the prices drop a bit.
I love cross stitch, to look at. I don't see well enough to do it myself sm
but I sure think it is pretty and there are several things I would love to have for my house. I could translate them into English smocking, which I can well, and put them up. I have a couple of Pullen pleaters and that helps. I have a baby dress for my mom's reborn doll I am doing right now and she wants that smocked.
The older guys, unless cross dressing
or otherwise, would never think of burning candles just like they would not take bubble baths. I think your sexual preference is whatever you want but I do not, for me, want a metrosexual (I want facials, skin care, pedicures - you get the picture) man. As an older woman, I just like total masculine myself for a hubby, don’t want to second guess why he is using my makeup, candles, fingernail polish and the like. Any time you have to guess like the post did, there is probably more underlying than you see on the surface.
If you cross your eyes, they'll freeze!
My mom told me that if I kept crossing my eyes, they'd eventually freeze into that position. I believed her, but I was a defiant little girl, so I'd stare at her and cross my eyes just to push her buttons. I figured that I might have at least one more freeze-less eye crossing in me to make her mad, and if they actually did freeze, then I'd just cross that bridge when I came to it!

By the way, I'm 45 and she's 77, and my mom is still telling me that if I cross my eyes they'll freeze that way! And I'm still crossing them just to tick her off! :)
I moved cross country from Nebraska
to Phoenix. It was the best time of my life. I actually lived in Mesa and the cost of living was suprisingly reasonable. I had a really nice condo for around $700-800 a month, 2 bedroom, with it's own laundry room, covered parking, etc. I worked in Phoenix and the highway I took wasn't all that bad from what I was expecting.  I eventually moved to Scottsdale, but the cost of living there is fairly high, but beautiful. I loved Phoenix because it was just hours away from the Cali so I could visit the beaches on the weekends and also just hours away from Las Vegas. It's a great place to be single and I made so many new friends there so quickly. At the time, I was also single and no kids. It's supposedly the best city for singles. Good luck on your search. I envy you a little bit as I love traveling myself...
Hitchhike cross-country and get outside of my office
I would go from state to state and have a great time! To bad I am older and married.
Did it ever cross your mind that HE'S using YOU as a meal ticket?
So now it's you that has more money than the younger hubby. Hmmmm...food for thought, but perhaps I was off base earlier and it is, in fact, YOU that is the meal ticket in that power-couple relationship of yours.

Better stick with that guy for as long as he'll tolerate you. Today's younger guys like their women independent and enjoy EQUAL relationships.

If I were you, I'd peek into his cell phone on occasion. Ya know, just check the incoming and outgoing call lists. He might already be shopping around for a less expensive model, something that requires less upkeep and doesn't consider community property 'hers'.
Red Cross told me excessive tea drinking could cause anemia.

Several 2 and 3 day trips and DH and I take all of May off and drive cross country...can't wait!

Beautiful
What a beautiful dog. Good luck with her. As a side note, I was very sorry to hear about your dog's passing.
He is beautiful...
there are so many, many poor ones at shelters and other places waiting for a home.  some who may be put down if they do not have someone to rescue them from a sad, sad fate.  have you considered one of these * outcasts * who are just waiting for some loving person to come their way...stop at their cage....and say * that's the one i want ! *
It is beautiful.......our vet sent this to us

That is beautiful...
That is a wonderful way to honor your sister. So sorry for your loss.
She is just beautiful!

Her eyes are killer...they look like amber gemstones.  You can say what you want, but I'll bet my lunch SHE is the queen of the roost and you are the one at her beck and call!  ;-)  That's how they operate...tricky little things they are!

He is a beautiful pup.

He's beautiful!
And he'll be beautiful even with a bob tail with that long coat. My sister had a Manx with a long coat like that, born with just a bump for a tail, and she looked just like a bunny.

So this is you? You are so beautiful SM
Don't be hard on yourself.  So what if you are not 20 years old?  There is true beauty that comes from age.  Thanks for posting - I enjoyed seeing it!
WOW... that is BEAUTIFUL!!! Did she

Beautiful dog!
Is that a huskie?  Be sure and come back with more pics when you bring Bear home!  Love the puppy pictures!
he is beautiful!

He must be happy to have found a home!  Have fun!!

I think she is quite beautiful
but she would be even more so with some curves. I just don't get that emaciated look, it looks hard to me. I think Scarlet Johansson is quite a vision.
Very beautiful
I love their eyes.
BEAUTIFUL!

Beautiful here too, but....
I'm in Upstate NY too and I just checked the weather for next week. They're calling for possible snow on Tuesday and the temperature is dropping too, not more than 45 starting Saturday. Kids are on spring break next week and I'm off for the week too and bad weather, figures.
how beautiful!
where are you located?
Aww! She is beautiful!

They sound beautiful!
Thank you for that. I sure would love to go to a cat show once. My sister would, too, I know that. I live in PA, and if I had someone to go with I would like to get out of town to do that. Can you give some details? Do you need tickets?
Those beautiful eyes say it all, don't they....
xx
Just beautiful! Thanks for sharing! nm
:-)
What a beautiful picture!!!
Looks like a wonderful place, what beautiful scenery!  Thanks for sharing.
What a beautiful place for all of you!!! nm

Beautiful life here but still did not get
the answer as to why we should care, why the post? Are we supposed to know this person? I do enjoy seeing pictures of the animals, though.
Beautiful but boring
It is really beautiful, but after 10+ years living here raising the kids, I am beginning to crave a little craziness! Tourist season can be pretty awful, but all those tourist $$$ keep my taxes pretty low.

It is truly a land of haves and have nots. In my town, there is one house for sale for $23 million, but you can still get a real fixer-upper for under $150K. Still not cheap, but like they say, location, location, location.
They're beautiful.
How nice they are content to sit under the tree with paws folded under instead of climbing the tree, LOL.

Bear has chewed about 4 ornaments. He seems to have a problem with a freshly-swept floor.
Silver is beautiful!
I'm very sorry for your loss, I know this time of year is hard...
Beautiful cats!
I love animals - most of the time I love them more than people. They are always happy to see you & don't give you any hassle (well...not usually)
Beautiful dog. I really love them.
xx
Oh aren't they BEAUTIFUL!

Doncha just love flowers?!  I was just talking to my husband today about how I just got royally screwed over by an on-line company...

My friend's husband just passed away after a long awful illness.  So, I sent her some flowers.  When I went to her house to give hugs and support in person, I didn't see them anywhere...no one sent the poor thing flowers.  This lady has absolutely nothing, is dead broke, and has no family, and I was very bummed she didn't even get my floral version of a big hug.  So I called the on-line floral place and they told me they had no idea and couldn't give me the name of the florist they do business with.  Long story short, no flowers for this poor lady.

My husband thought flowers were a stupid way to spend money, but I told him that people LOVE getting flowers.  No matter how bad things are, flowers make you temporarily forget.  It's why I wanted to be a florist...one of the best jobs in the world is to give someone flowers.  Then I learned how nasty some brides-to-be can be and bailed, because I can't take heat like that.  Just dang.

You are welcome to e-mail me anytime at kathy@perin.org  Like I said before, I only post under "Hayseed" because there were, at the time, lots of Kathy's and KathyP's and KPs posting and I just wanted to be different, otherwise I'd just use my regular old name.  I gots nothin' to hide and hopefully no one to hide from, well, except from the Jehovah's Witness' folks.  It's always been in my blood to just hide when I see 'em coming, don't know why really...that explanation is for another day I guess....

Looks beautiful! WIsh I lived there. NM
