Thank you. Like I said before, I hated to
have to ask for help, but I did what was necessary to take care of my kids.  I know there are lots of people who abuse government assistance and that should be stopped.  I was not one of them.  As soon as I could, I got off food stamps.  Sometimes, though, you just do what you have to do.
My mom hated everybody.
It is hard to be around and infectious. She had been disappointed by the people whom she trusted and loved at a very tender age. I'd change subject and if that is not possible, go shopping or some other activity together, something that limits ability to express ones' self. (one's self, oneself. omg which is it?))

Negativity is contagious though.
because WE, the people are NOT hated by them

That was one of the most hated on the list! (nm)

I had a dog once that hated when I left and would eat anything he could get...sm
We put him in an old fashioned wire dog cage and he bent the door down on it and then ate through the wall and then on to my moms sofa, pillows, and rugs. Needless to say mom was not happy with me or Rambo! He was just a stray that got so attached to me he would get angry when I left him. Ended up taking him everywhere I could!!
I lived there and HATED it!
There is nothing to do in North Carolina. The BIG event in Raleigh is the weekly Farmer's Market. The lakes are ugly, manmade bowl-like things. The police are out of control in that part of the country.

You could not PAY me to live in North Carolina again. At least not near Raleigh. Charlotte and the Mountain area are nice, but for the middle of the state? YUCK!!!
Yeah, my mom tried it and HATED the food.

Lived right at the beach before, hated it

I had a dog that hated it when I worked outside the home.
She would climb up on the kitchen table and then jump over to the counter. We wondered for a long time which one of the kids was wiping a slice of bread or something across the top of the butter in the dish and leaving the lid off. Then I figured out after coming home one day to dog vomit on my kitchen table that it was dog lick marks in the butter. EWWWWW!!!! She used to go potty in the house and sleep on the furniture. I couldn't leave her outside all day in the winter so we put in a dog door. That worked OK until a city employee operating a grader drove over our back fence and she got out.
I hated to pay for expensive bras as well
but it really is worth it I promise you. I have a black and a nude bra from VS. I went in for an actucal fitting and these bras have been wonderful. I don't think I will ever wear anything else. I know that you don't have to go to VS to get a good bra, but I had a gift certificate, and while I don't think that is what DH was expecting my to buy, it was totally worth it. Right now I am in the second year of both bras, just wash in the sink and hang dry which definitely helps keep them in shape. I am 38D so I really need plenty of support. It is almost time for new bras, but since you can tighten the straps as well as around as you go, they have made all the difference in the world. Like I said, you can get good quality bras at major department stores without spending what you would spend at VS, but just check into it. I promise you it will be worth it.
Agree. As much as I hated Bush and
all his policies, etc., I won't say a harsh word about his wife and daughters. That's just silly.
I had a great uncle who hated the custom of "viewings"
And you know, so many people will say things like, "He looks good/peaceful/asleep," etc. My uncle always used to say, "Now how can he look good, he's dead!" Well, my dear uncle passed away at the age of 96. He died peacefully in his sleep. He was independent and active all of his life. The day he died, he had been working in his garden, doing house repairs, and cooking dinner for himself and his wife. Business as usual, except he went to bed that evening and quietly passed away. Wouldn't we all like to finish out 96 years like that! There was a closed casket at the viewing, and his wife told us, "Well, you know how Joe felt. He didn't want people filing by saying 'He looks good.' But the thing is, he actually looks great!" My aunt was a little sad that she didn't have an open-casket viewing, but it was Uncle Joe's wish for a closed casket.
