Sorry to have responded that way (sm)
It is just that you really have no idea what I have been through in 15 years.... and you would have no way to know just based on my post, so I shouldn't be defensive. But truly I have tried everything to make things better in this marriage and I am not someone who will ever be happy having all the decisions made for me. I want big decisions to be made as a couple, not by one or the other.
Thank you to all who responded. I really feel better, but I am going to say

something to her about it all, once I figure out a way not to lose my temper.  Yes, I am a laid back-type of parent, as I tried trying to keep up with the Jones' and such, but after putting my kids through torture (of course, thinking I was doing best) by constantly involving them in things they had no interest in (and, of course, listening to everyone on how to raise my children), I decided to listen to THEM.  I am very involved in their schools and I have a lot of quality time with them daily, but I just feel kids need to be kids as well and have time with their peers and work out things on their own without me constantly over them.  Let's face it, there is no guarantee I will be here even tomorrow, so I try to instill morals in them and pray they do the next right thing, but I cannot expect them to make every right decision and I should not judge myself as a parent that way.  If I do, then I will inevitably correct and criticize them, as I will be judging them by someone else's opinion as well.

Thank you, because I really knew what the right thing was but I kept allowing someone else's feelings tumble into my own and that made me feel really sad.  I know they are both very good kids.  They may not be perfect to the standards of some people, but they are mine and I am very proud of them....no mmatter what anyone says.

(((hugs))))

r u the poster I responded to? well if not.

If you are or are not the poster I responded to - doesn't matter one lick.  The poster said *will not shop in any store that sells gay or lesbian items*

Poster did not clarify that they *WOULD shop in a store that sells heterosexual items also being sold to gays* -

You seem to have an interpretation and possibly reading problem which, if you were the poster I was responding to, accounts for the little pea-sized, shut-down to nearly closed-down brain.........

To me it is unbelievable that homophobes still exist in the 21st Century amongst the common folk?

All this spewing about Christmas and Christian way of life and giving and generosity and all this supposed good feelings, yet all I see here is hypocrisy and condemnation for anyone who is not of your faith and for anyone who doesn't interpret any bible the way that some of you do.

God says we are to love each other as we love ourselves - but looking at some of these posts I see SOME really lack loving themselves and become accusers and finger-pointers - and JUDGE NOT LEST YE BE JUDGED.....

To all who condemn others who do not follow your ways, religion, closed mindedness..... Who died and left you boss of anything?

And lest not forget that Christianity and Catholicism stems from Judeo-Christian teachings.....which when I get involved teaches all about tolerance.

Now, can we all just try to be pleasant and get along and agree that we can all disagree and still be civil to one another or is that task far too great?

MTmtmt, I responded to you below (NM)

You responded to someone re my post below (sm)
Thanks - I am in the same sort of situation. Same thing with the ratio of his money to mine, and not having any family support. Even though there are a lot of nice people on here it is hard for many people to relate to the "no family at all to help" scenario. I think our husbands prey on us for that reason. They look at us and know they earn 5 x as much as we do and that we have no family to support us and they feel very superior to us because of that. I would really like to talk more with you if you are interested in e-mailing.
Thank you everyone who responded... and YES i do want children some day...
:) Sorry if I implied I wasn't sure about children... because I have ALWAYS wanted a family. I definitely know I some day want children, my question was how do I know when it's right. I just know i dont want one now, that was my point, he does, i dont, is he the one that has to wait until I'm ready? I just always try to look at the fair side of things.

I guess I just wondered if there was this "ticking clock" that would happen to me to let me know it was time, or I figure we will just not "TRY" and see how things go after we get married...

and thanks for saying I'm not selfish, but the reasons for not having one right away ARE selfish... i still want to do my own thing, go out with friends, still have the body I have (LOL)...

I appreciate everyone's thoughts and outlooks and will take them into consideration.

since you already responded yes I would suck it up and go sm
You should have said no from the beginning.  Dinners are not cheap.  There may be time for the bride to take away from her count.  I think it would be very rude not to show up.  That is just causing more talk.
Thanks to all who responded. I never expected such a response.
I think the consensus is that to make sure my daughter makes an informed and education decision about her life choice and to be supportive, which I definitely will. She has been lost for so long and I find it heartwarming and hopeful that she finally feels positive about her life to want to think about her future. Whatever she decides, I'll be here for her. I definitely think she should explore all branches of the military as well as non-military options. Thanks again to all who responded. It was greatly appreciated!!!
They should have responded sooner. How scary!
xx
No wait, wait... 'mere Mom, me and my friends

Good luck to you tomorrow.
My Hubby had it several years ago, but back when they did the open kind. The first week was the worst for him, but, remember, that was open, so you should do fine. Just remember to take everything they tell you. Just a note: He lost well over 200 pounds and has kept almost all of it off now about 4-1/2 years later...so enjoy your new look!!!
me too i will be 30 tomorrow and still have mild acne
I've been on Depo for over 4 years, thought that would eventually help but oh no...
Alarmist indeed. We'll have to see tomorrow just how bad it sm

not alone, I'm working today and tomorrow

Working today and tomorrow
Talked to PS this morning. I work both days as regularly scheduled. Should be plenty of work on my accounts. I agree, more money, shouldn't complain. I work from 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Already had my break today, watching the clock. I want a nap before tonight's festivities. Merry, Merry Christmas to all. Kiss and hug those nearest and dearest to you - for "they are precious in His sight."
Yep! Mine is pending now to go in tomorrow
I did e-file and direct deposit for my taxes and refund check, and my hubby's SSN ends in 03.

My neighbor who comes home tomorrow after SM

a six-month tour of duty fighting to keep us all free!  He just got married before he left in November and everyone is doing little dances all over the place!!!   GOOD FOR YOU, John Michael.

thanks, it's scheduled to be deposited tomorrow
the only thing that worries me is this little statement:

You should receive a notice showing the amount of your payment. Please hold on to it because you will need it when you prepare your 2008 tax return.

Well that's certainly an interesting combo. I might try that tomorrow.
My homemade recipe calls for instant coffee, creamer, dry milk, sugar, and a tsp of vanilla, which was okay.  I saw the ingredients on Amazon.com and those were the ingredients except instead of vanilla it was cocoa powder, so I made another batch mixed with the first batch and put in 2 tsp of cocoa instead of the vanilla and it turned out really good.  Have to make more already.  I wish I could send you some of your CCDDP.
Going to New Orleans tomorrow for one of the big parades...
Anyone else ever been that can tell me what to for sure not leave at home (other than a porta-potty!)?  So excited, going to be really fun I'm sure!
Yard sale tomorrow - how much change?
Hi, everybody, happy TGIF.

I'm having a yard sale tomorrow and hoping to raise a decent amount of $ to help buy a wheelchair accessible van for my DH. My question is this: How much change would you think I should have available and in what sorts of denominations? Most stuff will be under $10 but there will be a few higher priced items.

Thanks !

Shelby
We will have 31 people at his party tomorrow night and that sm
includes kids. I am making fried chicken and wings. Can anyone think of something cheap and large to feed all these people? haha  They say when you send out invites that half show. So far, we've rec'd RSVPs from everyone minus 2. If they come it will be closer to 40 people! I wasn't expecting this turn out. But, I am very relaxed.  Just need some food ideas! Thanks!
Thanks...I decided to make an appt tomorrow (sm)
wondering if I have some compression on my inferior vena cava when I lie down which is causing hypotension...not sure what is doing the compressing though - guess that's why I need a doctor, huh :-)

Today's children are tomorrow's leaders and
your future neighbors be closed-minded and intolerant of you? What if YOU had something about yourself that was [gasp!] 'different'? Would you want neighbors and community leaders who persecuted you and limited YOUR freedoms? Or would you want to be an equally-valued member of society?
Starting the first week in November, so tomorrow
there are two radio stations in town that plays Christmas music 24/7. I like Christmas music, but I think it's a little early to listen to it all day every day. Although, my daughter watches Christmas videos all year round.

My morning

My 9-year-old son was late for school and had to run upstairs and get his homework.  He was running down the stairs, which he has been told a million times not to, when he slipped on the carpeted steps and proceeded to glide down about ten stairs.  I heard the ruckus and went running towards the sound of disaster.  There lay my son in a heap on the ground holding his side and moaning as loud as he possibly could.  I kept asking what happened and my daughter was more than happy to give me the play by play (with every adjective possible), but her words were muffled under the sounds of his moans.  I thought he must of hit the banister, as he was holding his side in the fetal position, but no one could actually hear my questions over my daughter’s story and his moans, so as loud as I could I bellowed, “What did you hit?”  All of a sudden, my daughter’s rendition stopped, as well as my son’s loud moaning, and all got quiet.  My son looked up at me and very seriously, with a look of utter disgust, said, “The ground!”  In a little under 2 seconds I realized what a silly question that was, but what a great answer!!!  I have just chuckled over this all morning and thought I would share it with all the mothers out there!

P.S.  He is absolutely fine, thankfully, and I do believe making his mother feel like a dimwit was the cure-all!!!!

She ate a little this morning sm
I got her to eat this morning when I handfed her (which made me late to start working but I figured what the heck).  Then I thought I would try the cream cheese trick and she took it in her mouth but dropped it and then got mad at me and ran away then tried to pee on the entertainment center.  *smile*  But no pee came out - so she was either just showing her displeasure or has no pee (which isn't good).  Anyway, that is the update so far today.  Thanks you all for your support.
Morning, oh most definitely morning!

I'm one of those tools that's always chipper in the morning doing the ol' "daylight's a' burnin" thing and annoying the heck out of the partying folk who don't get started until noontime.

Definitely morning...
I start at 5 a.m., take a break from 6:30-7:40 to get the kids up, ready and off to school, then work until I get finished for the day, usualy in time to watch GH before I have to go pick up the kids, but sometimes not!
It was on GMA this morning...

GMA this morning...sm
Did anyone catch Boyz II Men on GMA this morning?  They were great!  Did the oldie *I'll Be There*, sorry don't know who originally did it, but they did a great job, including all the moves...really good little concert!
They said to me this morning
"Well, why didn't you call us?". My response was, "With four of you in the room, NONE of you thought to say 'Hmmm..I wonder if she got the text'?"
