Thanks for that. SM

I think I should add, in my defense, that the policeman asked me if I wanted them to be fined, as he said just standing on the stree for 15 minutes (which is the limit for dog barking in my area) he could not stand it. He asked how I tolerate it. These people are a little rough around the edges, if you know what I mean. I just needed a buffer to help me, and thought I was doing the right thing to just have them spoken to. It was not supposed to end up in a screaming match. The thing that makes me sad now is not the people. . it's the dogs. I did not mean I don't want to ever hear a bark out of them. I just can't take it for hours at a time. I should also mention that I live in an apartment and they are row houses with just a tiny alleyway between. All this goes on 2 feet from my window.   I am not a mean person by any means. I told them the minute they drove up that I was sorry, but that there was a problem. Everyone is glad for what I did on the block because it gave us peace. Based on his reaction to the complaint I am glad I did not try to talk with him about it alone. I hope all this feels better soon.
