In Reply to: Folks are lacking lots when they have to get drugged up to feel better - My answer

true for some, but I would say, 'speak for yourself'. I do not have to get "drugged up" to feel better. In fact, quite the opposite. My doctor would prescribe painkillers for the ailments that cause me to feel like a trainwreck most days, but then I would be "drugged up" and could not function to provide for my family and be a taxpaying, contributing member of my community/society. As I said, I don't smoke pot anymore because of the bassackwards state that I live in and my fear of losing my children. But I can tell you that it is the only thing that I have tried that makes me feel better while still in control of my faculties. Without it, I don't get "Enough rest", it's difficult to stomach "the right kind of food", and whatever you mean by "a good clean life" I am not sure, but I certainly find it much easier to take care of essential grooming, etc. (although, somehow I think you're implying that by smoking pot I was not living a "good clean life" and were probably not referring to my grooming habits, and I disagree that smoking pot constitutes living a 'bad, dirty life'). I, too, enjoy the love and closeness of my family, with or without pot. This is just priceless to me too.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "crunk it up", but I would love to be able to legally "have at" pot, which is what I am assuming you are talking about. Why on earth would you think that I would even want to get in your space, or that by smoking pot I would be doing so? It is my life, and I would very much like to feel well the majority of the time, instead of the opposite.

As far as roadblocks, I rarely encounter them and am usually not the driver when I do, but they are not unexpected to me either, and I don't really mind them too much. I have my license and insurance, as required by law, and do not snort anything. (BTW, is there anything that I should snort that I am not aware of? Since you mention only that you do not snort substances that you shouldn't, I have to wonder.) I rarely drink alcohol, and would never drive a vehicle after drinking an alcoholic beverage. The problem I mentioned in my last post is that I disagree with a roadblock in which all persons are subjected to roadside testing of their blood. (I don't believe there is any discussion about collecting urine samples on the side of the road, but they are discussing collecting bodily fluids of some sort, and I believe it was blood that I read about.) As I said, no probable cause necessary. All persons encountering the roadblock would be tested. If you do not mind this, then have at it, but I think it is quite invasive and would be very disturbed to discover it was becoming a law in the state where I live.
