Probably a lot of nurses wouldn't back down too easily. You'd probably have to say it firmly and simply pass the scale and continue to walk towards the exam rooms.

I guess it's probably not worth the drama, but I like the idea. At least now a lot of them use metric scales in which case they read a number that means absolutely nothing to me!
