The resemblance to Paris is unmistakable...sm
but Tookie is definitely prettier, and sounds better behaved, too.
Elvis on AI
Yes - i was in tears. I think that this was a TV historical moment, as well as a moment in music history. Someone on another board said that this segment had been recorded last week and that sanjaya was still on when the idols came up to do backup - I've watched it over and over on youtube, and I do not see him, but maybe so. Even the way this was put together was interesting. I think that it might have had even more of an impact, though, had it just been Elvis alone singing without Celine, but it was a very good performance.
Elvis -Where were You
I was 12-years-old, standing in the living room behind the couch while my mom and dad were intensely staring at the t.v. and my dad was crying. He was always playing the guitar and dressed in black. I have a picture of my dad dressed in black sitting on a chair while he is playing his electric guitar with the amps beside him on the floor, while he was in the Air Force. My kids who are now 12 and 13 are like "WHO IS ELVIS? So sad...
Yep, just saw him and Elvis together

It's going to be like Elvis
People will still think they've seen him and that he's still alive. To me, I'm sure he's dead. Very sad, but I really don't think he'd fake something like this, but that's just me. They did identify the person that made the 911 call. They said it was his doctor.
I was nine when Elvis died,
but it still had quite an impact on me, and I remember, as do most, where I was when I heard the sad news. I was never one to watch the royal family very much, but I must say that I felt devastated to hear of the tragedy when Princess Diana was killed, and had the same sort of feeling when John Denver went home.
I was about the same age when Elvis died...sm
I remember listening to his funeral on my radio, which at that age it still strikes me as odd as I probably was not a fan of his music. Just one of those moments in history, I guess.

I also remember getting up at 6:00 a.m. to watch Princess Diana get married, and I remember when she died, I was kind of embarrassed at how impacted I was by that. I guess somehow maybe I wanted to be a princess even in my adult years.

Don't remember John Denver so much but anyone a Chris Ledoux fan?
Better get used to. This will be bigger than Elvis...
and people still talk about Elvis, tour Graceland, and celebrate his birth/death every year. My gosh, MJ is the greatest, most iconic star that ever lived and he hasn't even been buried yet.
Happy Birthday, Elvis
The beagle next door is howling nonstop.  Guess Elvis' spirit must have seized him.  After all, we're only about 250 miles from Tupelo!   Before I know it, I'll be transcribing the lyrics to "You Ain't Nothing But a Hound Dog."
Yep Happy Birthday Elvis!!!.....nm

Yes, we called him 'gay Elvis' before we figured out

Was anyone else amazed when Celine Dion sang with Elvis?
I thought that was simply incredible! A little hard to explain to my daughter though that that was Elvis and he died many years ago!
30th Anniversary of Elvis' Death this week

I know some of you weren't even born or were toddlers, but for us older folks, I was just curious where you were when you heard the news that Elvis had died.

I was working in a very small factory pasting crystals in a base for radios (gee - what a job that was!) making $1.85 an hour and that was with shift differential. Anyway, I was working 2nd shift & heard the news just as I pulled into the parking lot. My supervisor cried all night and the plant manager played Elvis albums on the overhead speaker all night.

Just thought it would be interesting to see where everybody was.
