Generation X was 1962-1982
give or take.

You are referring to the Millenial Generation....the children of Gen X and some baby boomer moms who had kids late.

My guess is that you are a Baby Boomer....and your generation has beem so utterly indulged your whole lives, all this says to me is that the Silent Generation that was waiting on you has all retired.
