I am in a bit of a different situation as I am a single mom. My boys are 8 and 3 and they both sleep with me and there are nights when I wonder just what I got myself into, for the most part though I love waking up and seeing them still sleeping there and going to bed and talking about everything they are thinking as they are laying down for the night. It is a special kind of a bond I think.
As for the spirits, ghosts, etc., I have been watching psychic kids on A&E and it is fascinating and they did have an episode where they told this one girl's uncle who had passed that kept visiting her to cross over so maybe the cleansing of the house would be a good idea. He wasn't a mean spirit though. My 8-year-old sees things and hears things that no one else does as well. Just keep the lines of communication open!!
