I have OD'd on peanut butter fudge
I don't know why I do this every year. I just went downstairs for a drink and loaded up on smoked ham with a peanut butter fudge chaser. A moment on the lips, forever on the hips...

Peanut butter fudge recipe
 When I was little my mom used to make the world's best peanut butter fudge. She used brown sugar in it. There was a quickie fudge recipe in the Mrs Clause cookbook that called for just chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk, was thinking about trying something with that. Does anybody have a good brown sugar peanut butter fudge recipe?

Chocolate-Oatmeal-Peanut Butter Yum-Yums
Melt 1 stick butter.
Add: 2 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. milk
Bring to a boil and then boil for 1 minute.
1/2 c. chunky peanut butter (I use creamy)
2 c. quick oats
1 tsp. vanilla
Stir in peanut butter until melted. Stir in vanilla and quick oats. Drop by heaping teaspoons onto waxed paper and let sit until cool and then refrigerate.
Hold the pickles.....have had it that way...yuck!

need some chopped kosher dill pickles and
yellow mustard to make it good, also add some celery seed. I make the best potato salad and have been told so from the guys who work with my husband when he took potato salad to a luncheon they had at his workplace.
I like potato salad with sweet pickles in it. sm
That's how my mom and grandma always made it, so I grew up eating it that way. But the very thought of sweet pickles makes my hubby ill, so dill pickles it is for us.

What about peanut allergies?
They could KILL a student with a peanut allergy doing something like this. Do you mean to tell me in this day and age a school can not give a child a meal if they have no money on their card? Where is the compassion? How can a child learn on an empty stomach? I understand they may have to do that with parents who are complete deadbeats, but why embarrass and starve the kids? How humiliating and inhumane. Not to mention potentiall dangerous!

But I'm still here and breathing. My only peanut item I eat is natural peanut butter.
We keep no peanut products in our home
Hubby only eats the natural peanut butter and it tastes yucky. Other than that, nothing else in the house contains peanut butter and he had his way before the scare.

She's rich ($$$$$$$$$) at this point.... :) Not another show featuring cardboard and fake cooking sprays? Do we really need another show for "light eating"? Our elders lived long lives on lard...... :) Keep on cookin', just don't eat that heavy stuff every day/night! Enjoy....

Nope - always have used real butter

All this time I thought they were the same thing because at the roadside stand it said "cracklin pork", so I just thought it must be pork skins like I see in the store (and yes, they are with the potato chips). Guess this AL transplant has not even known there was a difference. Thanks for clearing that up. All I know is I cannot stand the sight or smell of either of them.

I shred the beef and saute with a little finely diced onion and butter,
then add a bit of flour to make a roux and brown that lightly. Then warm milk to "cream" it. I like a bit of good paprika, sometimes the hot variety, at the end.
Granny Smith with lots of butter, sugar and cinnamon and a dash of cloves&nutmeg.

Got a creamed dried beef question. Do you find it best to saute the dried beef in the butter and
then add all the rest or do the cream part first and then add the dried beef at the end. Seems like both ways are in the recipes and just wondered which gets the best.
