sad

I'm glad that this child's mother is helping him have a Happy Holiday, and tickled for him to have won the prize at his orthodontist's office. I had braces at what I think must be his age and I can completely understand issues with one's self esteem. As an adult, one has (in most cases) developed a more mature outlook on self and can also handle the discomfort associated with braces. The experience, however, for a teenager, is quite different I'm sure.

It's really very sad that there is a poster here who seems so determined to make herself seem better than the OP and her family and to make the OP feel bad...

GRINCH..
I'm glad it's obviously not working... ;)

Congrats, OP, to your son, and kudos to you for posting.
