Soak in hot water with high concentration of baby shampoo (works on feet also), then trim the split (or pumice the feet). You can just keep clean and dry after that or try a little Bacitracin with a band-aid.

Then don't fill more than half full with your peas and water. I don't know the precise ratio for cooking. Hopefully they won't spatter in there.
Going out on our boat to soak up some
rays, floating on my lounge chair raft and then stopping at one of the restaurants on the lake for lunch. Yes, I use sunscreen and a lot of it. Have a canopy on the boat to sit in the shade. It is going to be hot here in the northeast too. Can't wait.
