I overted one of these last week with Avon Moisture Therapy sm

and I swear by it. This time of year I cream up, especially rubbing into the areas that these occur, then put on some socks on my hands for the night. I have not had one of these until recently and like I said, I averted it with this stuff. I am nice and comfy this week.

I don't know anybody who sells Avon, but
I am remembering he likes Curves and he has only had it once.
I am sure the Avon lady above would

I use Avon Footwoorks instead sm
I like the Footworks Cracked Heel Cream or Footworks Silicone Glove better. I use it all day long and before bed. It also works great for those teeny tiny paper cuts that hurt so dang bad.
Avon actually caused problems for me
with allergy type reactions and skin irritation. I think their products are often too strong. JMO
Severe Avon ladies
Not busting on you personally, but I had to chuckle picturing the severe Avon ladies!

I'm a sucker for the Avon TV commercials

I sold Avon for 20+ years

I sold Avon for 20+ years & I loved it when I first started, I had a great number of customers which you do need and periodically would add a few more.. BUT, when I first started you could make some money at it, even living in a small rural area like I live in.. but things are so costly, the books, bags, samples, etc.. gas lately wouldn't be worth it, selling in businesses is great IF you can catch everyone there at the same time, but when I first started if you sold $1000 half was yours.. since then they have raised it (not sure what it is now), but the last I remember it was closer to $1500 before you earned 1/2.. so things keep changing, I quit after I started typing, no time & I would much rather be home..

I made money doing Avon for years, but if you were the only one in your area doing it you might do okay, but I do still order, because I have used their products for so many years, I just can't find nothing I really like better in the stores.. plus they do have great sales on things, I'll not go back to it as of now, but don't want to say never cause that is usually a for sure that you'll eat those words..

I wish we could all go the week of the graduation but their graduations are always a week earlier th
ours. So actually all three of my kids are still in school this week while all of hers will already be out. My youngest is actually missing school to go but my two older kids have finals so they can't go at all that week.

Thank you. I guess I'm just trying to find a nice way to say it without causing friction and keeping the peace.

My DH is your typical male, just deal with it when the time comes whereas I want to take care of things right away without hurting anyone's feelings.
Bought some Avon cologne Island Vibe - daughter came by (sm)

and tried some.  She was ecstatic.  Said it was the old Malibu Musk I used to buy them from Avon in the early teens.  I can't even remember the name Malibu Musk.  (I do however certainly remember their teen years for other reasons).

Anyone else tried this or remember the old scent.  Seems like her olfactory memory was really triggered by this one.  She spent a long time chatting about the "old days" over this.

If you know anyone that sells Avon, the new Driven by Derek Jeter is real nice.

Yep, I had therapy for awhile too
Therapy didn't take the nightmares away and didn't take away my fears. My anger from it is better but not gone.

I think if I stay a little angry, I will be a little more vigilant and protective of myself. It will not happen to me again.

I can feel sorry for the jerk but can't forgive him for taking my security away from me.

And, before the "holier than thou" people jump on the religious aspect of forgiveness and healing, let me just tell you this.

I have seen many different counselors over the years for this. I even sought counsel from my church back then and I was basically turned into the church sideshow.

These were people I trusted but they let everyone in the congregation know that I was a little sinner and had brought a horrible shame upon myself and my church family.

This was not some kind of fanatical church but I won't say which one.

So in case Georgia Gal is wondering which church, she will continue to wonder. Just know that I will never get over this and I just can't see how she could. Church or no.

I believe in God, I just do not believe in church anymore.
Your doggie needs some therapy
It has no clue what it is, a Siberian and you call it a poodle. Poor thing. It has issues and I would suggest a good therapist!
you don't need therapy-you JUST SUMMED IT UP!!

This post says it all - and I think in your heart you know what would be the best road to take......it's scary but not for very long.......change can be scary but change is a constant in the life....and one door closes and 20 more open (doors and windows)....if you stay in the relationship, you're setting yourself up for a lifetime of never-being-able-to-please-this-person and then hence, yourself.  You only get to do this one time - as far as we know - wouldn't you want it to be THE BEST...?

Good luck, I so know it's sooooooooooooooo not easy.....

Was he cured by therapy
or medication?

hehehe.

I remember when DH and I were just engaged, he looked lovingly into my eyes and said the most romantic thing he could think of - "I promise not to be one of those guys who makes his wife a football widow."

Men are funny.
Try massage therapy - sm
It can do wonders.  Tell them exactly what your complaints are.  Best of luck!
Yes he needs intense therapy
and they can probably get him disability which would help pay for it.

Question: Why do you keep saying retarded? Haven't heard that term used in years.

Question: Why in the world would they bring a 2yr old little girl into this situation. You said he has needed help for 16 years. What were they thinking. And as far as money goes, if they can't afford therapy, how could they afford to adopt a child from China?
Massage therapy!
I try to treat myself every 3 weeks or so.  PLUS i play a lot of online Jeopardy...
I agree with HER...I think he needs therapy.
*
I so agree - left at 18, therapy from 8-28...sm

And have been in fine shape ever since.  I became my own hero the day I walked out the door for good at 18, never looking back...never went back, not even for dinner, though kept in touch all the time with my father via his work/job, phone or going directly there, my father always trying to be the peacemaker.  I tried for several years and several different time but once one is so poisonous - you have a choice...and I always chose not to be involved with poisonous types of people.

Therapy IS the ticket FOR SURE and there's all kinds of therapies out there today for all kinds of personalities.  Thank goodness for that - I was into the new-wave therapies back in the late 1960s-70s....

Bless everyone going through all of this either prior or now.....Bless ALL.

I have never taken hormone replacement therapy like you
because I knew from years ago, before the gov study that hormones were being linked with breast cancer, among other things. My elderly aunts (in their 80s) also refused to take hormones, one being a nurse. My mother took hormones and she died from uterine cancer. A previous physician told me I should take them (this was not OB-GYN and I just felt I had all the information I needed to make a sound decision, that being not taking them.
My Therapy Dogs are certified through
Therapy Dogs International. They have to pass two sets of tests..the first is the AKC Good Canine Citizen, then the TDI test. Any breed or hmmm-what-kind-are-you? dogs can become a Therapy Dog.

The dogs need to have a physical, stool testing, and vaccination history is sent to TDI along with a recent photo of your dog. You then will receive a photo ID that has to worn with each visit.

A lot goes into the training, but it is well worth it. Just to see the look on a patient's face really does bring on the tears. Deb, don't hide your tears....the patient's don't mind. You and your dog just might be the most emotional packed figure they've seen in a while. Everyone else who tends to them, while smiling, are distant and almost sterile. Your tears means you really care about them.

New scents, aroma therapy from YC
Love the ones you mentioned as well as Water Garden and Sweet Violet.

The SO (he's such a sweetie) brings me YCs all the time. He just gave me a boxed set of five Aromatherapy Spa candles:

cinnamon/frankincense
peppermint/basal/rosemary
lavender/ylang-ylang/geranium,
jasmine/sandalwood
tangerine/vanilla

I've only tried the first one so far and it's very nice. Don't know what's in them but the dog freaks when I get the box out. She rubs herself all over them while snorting like a pig. Very odd. You should see what she does when the YC catalog comes with those scented pages!

When my brother was in therapy, he used that technique.
Never would use the word "you" in a sentence when discussing an issue and constantly repeating back to us what we said in order to validate that we were heard. Our entire family hated it, especially because his issues were HIS issues. Beating three wives, always out-of-control, and demanding emotional support whenever he made repeatedly stupid decisions. He just couldn't repair the huge damage he had done by trying that one on us. (And he only tried briefly.)

It's not a bad technique. It's actually quite nice to be civilized that way. But whenever someone mentions it, I'm reminded of my brother who had hurt so many of his family members, emotionally and physically, and then couldn't figure out why the technique his therapist taught him didn't work like a magic charm. He never did figure out that the trust was gone from every relationship in his life.

Sorry! That was off-topic. It just stirred up some unpleasant memories.

Love the Italian therapy! My dad and uncle were...
raised that way...no coddling or worrying about hurting the little one's feelings. My grandmother would have made a fortune from her therapeutic thwaps!
Bless your heart for having Therapy Dogs!
I think that's a wonderful program and hat's off to you for taking the time to do it!
It's therapy. At least for me it is. I don't mind it. Just don't read the posts if you know
they will bother you. I'm sorry to be so rude, but you can't dictate what other people posts unless it's religion or politics. If you start getting into the media and bad news, then you are really censoring the board and you don't want to do that.
Hope she saved lots of the tips for you for therapy...
just kidding ;)
I think once disgust happens, lots of therapy is needed to feel love again. Lots

I went there for a week but never could get - sm
in the water as it was red flagged the whole time I was there. Stayed at the Oasis, very nice. Only went down to the beach once, ended up stepping on a bee, must have been one heck of a bee as it made me sick (or a reaction)--never had that happen before, luckily only for the rest of the day (2pm on), was fine the next day except for a sore foot. --I recommend Grand Cayman, great beaches, great snorkeling or scuba (the reefs there are amazing), the turtle farm is neat. Can be pricey but not too bad. I've been there about 5 x, plan on going again one of these days.
Since it has only been a week since
they were nursing, this is probably not abnormal, but it can't hurt to talk to the vet anyway. I also agree with below posters, definitely get this girl spayed. I raise show cats and this is most definitely the time of year the girls cycle the most, it is kitten season. Good luck.
The week from you know where

Not sure where to start here -- but I'll try to make this short and sweet.  In a roommate situation till I can get some bills paid.  Roomie sitch is a male and female couple and myself and I have a " significant other" who has lived with a male roomie for 12 years.  Nothing FUNNY is going on with the roommate situation and for me, here in the Miami area, just working and "digging out of the hole" so to speak. I rent a room am able to use the house where I live.

Thursday, I ended up getting a new cell phone after BATTLING with S carrier for a month.  It was a Motorola Q and while I know computers  -- this thing baffled me  -- Monday morning and it might be a return  -GRR.

Sorry, OLD lady here and I digress  -- anyway, with all the S***on Monday after being gone from my place for 3 weeks, the FEMALE roomie has done nothing but get on my case -- when I returned, unpacked, worked, and went to Long John Silvers.  The rest of the week, I had frozen shrimp and used a SMALL portion of her pasta. What I did not eat was put in a plastic container  and sealed in the fridge.Basically griping the whole week  -- NOTE -- she does not work and her BF supports

Thursday, was on the phone with Sprint, got new phone, went to Wal-Mart and got my haircut (after about a month and a half) and back to the house.  I then tried to get "new phone" working right and on with techs to very little avail, so gave it up and went to bed.  SO called me Friday morning and I loaded my car to make the trip to Miami  -- Friday afternoon, I get a call from the "female roomie" about the "mess I had left  -- 1 plate in the sink from pasta she had made and OFFERED, the restt of the shrimp was in the fridge, and when I cook, I clean afterwards.  The only thing in the sink was a plate, fork and coffee cup  -- I get a call Friday and she was BALLISTIC --telling me that she wasnt my maid etc -- HELLO?

Saturday, I was busy cause the new phone didnt work right and my son and his GF flew down here to go on a cruise so not online at all  -- I sign in late tonight and she had sent threats via my Yahoo account -- I really, HONESTLY think that because her "boyfriend controls her"  Here again too, she has no DL  -- NO car and if she dosent answer her phone, he would call my cell, but that changed when I changed my #  --

I'm rambling but...is this a thing where I call the "authorities" ?  I have done enough psych transcription -- BUT to get her to a hospital Im not sure what to do.

I am sooooooooo sorry that this was long but 3:45 here and I am REALLY scared of going back there tomorrow

Thanks

I saw a guy last week
who had been a teacher for a school, band and choir I think, who got the 3-X out for being "boring" or something to that effect.  Not sure if he is the same guy you are looking for.
During the week, they can SM

Go to after school activities (including sports), work (very limited hours) and church.  They are allowed on Friday and Saturday (I have two teens by the way) to make any plans that they want within reason of course.  Sunday is for church and family dinner unless other arrangements are made WAY in advance.  I have two younger ones too and they will have to abide by the same.

Good luck!

We usually eat out once a week. On the
nights I don't feel like cooking, I have frozen dinners in the freezer, soups, make grilled cheese, and I always have leftovers from the nights I do cook.

My kids love pizza, so our "eat out night" is usually Pizza Hut or Papa Murphy's takeout.
About once a week sm
She is a small poodle, less than 2 years old. She runs outside every chance she gets and gets under the deck. She also sleeps on my bed every night and I will not sleep with something that smells bad. If I enjoyed that sort of thing, I would still be married.

She has very fine, wavy poodle hair. She is oily and if she doesn't have a bath at least every 10 days, she freezes in the winter, even in her cute little sweaters. I give her a bath, let her dry in front of the faux fireplace, and brush her a bit. Next day, she is perfectly warm in her little sweaters and warmer at night too. If she goes very long, she develops so much eye snot that she can't see well. I do my own grooming and I keep her properly trimmed about every other week.

End result is: Gorgeous little apricot poodle who looks adorable and smells like flowers. No dry skin, no flaking, almost never scratches at all unless she has had to go a whole 2 weeks without a bath. This is not too frequently for this dog.
We are at 1-2 x a week, usually just on - sm
the weekends though, and usually quickies as the kids are always here......I am so tired at night that anything more than a quickie is rare and maybe once a month.--My DH is the one who initiates as my sex drive went in the toilet 10 years ago with my first pregnancy and just never came back. I still enjoy it just lost the "urge" for it I guess.
I think this week for sure it's going
to be Matt or Allison. Kris keeps hanging on because the young girls think he's hot, but I actually prefer Matt to Kris voice-wise...

I think Gokey was AWESOME last night, as usual. :)
once a week maybe.
Used to go out more but got sick of eating out. It began to taste all the same. Plus, during the summer, my husband grills out 2 to 3 times a week and it's GREAT!
also once a week....nm

WHAT A WEEK!!!!
We lost Michael, Farrah, and Ed McMahon!!! I don't follow "celebrities" all that much, but wow! I can't believe 3 in one week.
Same thing I think every week...he needs to go!
If you haven't watched tonight's AI yet, I don't want to spoil anything so don't read this if you don't want to hear anything. All I can say is...what was up with that crying little girl??? But then again, she cried when Melinda sang too so maybe she does have some taste after all!
Did not see the preview from last week.
Well that is good news to see him up and about. Hopefully that will happen today, maybe.

Yes, so sad when Nick and Sharon were screaming and then Nick trying to get back in. May be Nick and Sharon will reunite because of this. I like them together.

I am watching while I am working too. Really hard to get anything done.
In another preview from last week
we saw him sitting up. Hopefully that is a good sign. Didn't your heart just break when you saw Nick trying to run back in the building? OOOOOHHHH, I get too involved. LOL
I have for a week and a half now
I started it a week ago Sunday.. that would be the 17th. I have had absolutely no "treatment effects" as they call them. I have watched what I eat and have switched to some lower fat or no fat products, as far as like cheese, salad dressings, sour cream, things like that. I don't really eat a lot of fatty meat anyway, so that hasn't been anything to deal with. The changes have been pretty simple actually, pretty easy to make. Also with Alli, it only works around the meal that you take it with. So, if you basically want to watch your fat for most lunches and dinners, as I'm doing, you just take it for those two meals. I don't worry about it with breakfast because I usually just have cereal anyway. If you have some occasion planned, dinner out, might be having a meal with more than 15 g or so of fat, just don't take it. It is pretty simple really and if it does nothing else, it keep you honest with those meals you eat when you take it.
uh, your ankle was like that for a week before you went in
"needless to say I am still in pain"....maybe you should not have walked on it for a week without getting medical treatment for it; that is not the hospital's fault....do you see the irony of your statement?
Yep, for over a week now, in Missouri
nm
I go to the gym 5 days a week
and I own my own treadmill, stationary bike, and some weights. I have always had a thin build and always played sports as a kid and as a teenager, and have always been very active (I'm 26 now). I guess that's how I do it. I'd go insane if I didn't work out.
I use AVG and also run spybot once a week. (nm)

She was in hospital almost a week before she had him...
Sorry I didn't mention that he took off a week before she had the baby. But yeah he has went back to work according to her mom. I think she is embarrassed about his feet but I have told her that she need not be he is a sweet adorable baby. How could someone make fun of a baby? When I do ask to speak to her her mom will say she is busy or something. I say well the baby must be really keeping her busy and her mom says no actually he sleeps most of the time. The baby was checked by the doctor and he said completely healthy baby other than the clubbed feet. I thought about dropping by but her mom had said that she just wished people would not come over. And one of my other friends "dropped" in and her mom called me and was kind of acting like they thought that was rude to come unannounced. So I don't know how to go about it. I did call during the time she has been home but her mom said her husband was off so I know she wouldn't talk. She is very strict about no phone calls when they are together. It is weird to me but she is a very good friend. But I would still call and ask her mom how her and the baby were anyway and some days her mom would call me just to chat. I don't know I kind of feel like I have lost my friend. I will have to send a card.
Sounds like us, we were in the 70s last week and
now have 3 inches of snow.
