splitting the assets...

Posted By: Jan on 2009-03-06
In Reply to: How to split insurance with a deceased person? - Interesting!

What about the son? Is he also deceased?
In your former post you did not mention that your brother is deceased.

Could you not HELP in locating the children of your brother? Did you not have ANY contact with them?

Strange, strange!

See below excerpt from your former post...

'....his son and I was the only 1 left (not counting my brother's children) so the money went exclusively to me.'

Now I think you are the one splitting hairs -
if you want to prevent stem cell research b/c of the potential life you are supposedly protecting, why not these potential babies who are prevented by IUD?

My opinion is that an embryo sitting in a petri dish somewhere is not evan a VIABLE CELL either.

It's not your assets that would be taxed,
it's your income acquired from the services you provide using your assets. Now, I don't know about other states, but I do not think that services are taxed in my state (to the consumer utilizing the services), but the business providing the services definitely is required to pay income taxes. Just like with my transcription service. I do not charge anyone taxes on the service fees, but I do have to pay income tax.
I'm specifically AVOIDING splitting hairs, if you'd notice. sm
I'm saying what my opinion is regarding the viability of an embryo (as post-implantation), but perfectly willing to grant that it might be pre-implantation as well.

??!!
The STATE can only take the assets, if there is NO will and NO heirs..sm
And BEFORE that the State TRIES to find possible heirs and informs them about their inheritance.
I am MY property. If I choose to use my assets for money, that is MY business!

Is he marrying your assets or is he marrying you?
I could never do this, those men are mamma's boys.
