I don't think dognapping is a possibility. Its a small town here and people around here in the immediate vicinity know my dog, and I've only seen 2 other huskies in this whole small town. At least I don't seriously think that's a possibility.

I talked to my stepmom the next day after I posted this, and she said she didn't mean to sound so blunt, but that she was just stating a possibility.

I'm also a huge animal lover, I've had pets all my life from fish, birds, cats, hamsters and dogs. My whole family are big animal lovers, my own step-mom has a dog and a cat both around the same age as my dog, and so I know she understands about the worry and not knowing. Her cat got out once and was gone for a month, when she found him he was skin and bones and lethargic, but he's back to health again. So, I know she didn't mean it in a bad way, just when I'm overly sensitive because I've been worried for a month...you know how it can go.

Thanks for sharing your own stories as well...and I still have the dog tags to my last dog that passed, and my last cat that passed, they are on a scrapbook page with pics of them/me/my kiddo. Some people find that odd, but to me its just memories.
