In Reply to: Uterine ablation. - PMS'er too

The ablation did wonders for the bleeding (I was extremely iron deficient, to the point of having to have IV iron therapy 5 times before the ablation).  However, since it does not affect the hormones directly, it does not help with PMS.  I will have light spotting for maybe a day at the most, that's it, and it is glorious!  I had the ablation done in May 2005, and so far, no complications at all.  Very painful the day of the procedure, cramped like crazy, but I was back to work in 2 days.  I don't have PMS as bad now as I did when I was younger, but I'm thinking that's probably due to my age...37.
