Since you used the word "deficiency" for a blank, my guess is you work for Spheris. They have some strange rules there, depending on the platform. To be on the safe side, you may want to talk to your almightly supervisor about "permission" to communicate directly with your QA. Some are on a power trip and you have to go through them for everything you do, strange as it may seem, especially since many of them have never been and MT or editor, or have been in management too longer to remember what it is like. I never could understand why a middleman was needed for an MT to communicate with their QA, but who am I to wonder why they do the things they do at Spheris.
