I just bought Flashtype expander and I want to

Try the MTStars FlashType demo & see if you like it. It is a low cost expander
that works much like PCShorthand.  See link below:
POLL: Productivity gain using your expander and what expander you use.
Guess I need to make it work harder.
The shortcuts expander works with the Bayscribe expander as well.
All at the same time.

Is there a way to print out a list of the shortcuts you have installed in the FlashType program?  If there is, I can figure it out.  Please  help!

Does anyone have any info on Flashtype? I have the software but no instructions. If anyone has any info on it, I would appreciate it.

Thank you!
Flashtype
I use flashtype and it works great for me.

In looking over all the things that FlashType does, it appears that MS Word's auto-text and word expansion program does the same thing.  The only thing different that I can see that FlashType does is enables you to create special templates that can be inserted but you could also do this in MS Word with a macro.  Am I way off base here?
Shorthand vs FlashType

I downloaded the Shorthand Expander trial for 30 days.  I like it a lot and am thinking seriously about buying it, but now I wonder about FlashType.  Is it really just like Shorthand?  (if so, I could save $30 with FlashType).  Can I convert my Autocorrect terms to FlashType like I can in Shorthand?  I tried to download FlashType several times to try it out, but I can't open it (something about "proper license not found."

I have about 20 days left on my Shorthand trial, so I'd appreciate your opinions about both programs.  Thanks!

Question about FlashType
Can you download your existing word list from Shortcut into FlashType?
Flashtype users?
I recently downloaded Flashtype expander.  I like the set up of being able to put in what I want but I am having trouble with capitalization.  I work in Meditech and the CAPS status sometimes changes for no reason.  This program is also suppose to print in all CAPS if wanted but this does not happen either except only occasionally.  It also does not capitalize the word at the beginning of a sentence if it is typed so such as Copd, Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.  It does all lower case.  Is there something I can do or is just a program error or is it just using it with certain programs such as Meditech?

Flashtype vs shorthand
I downloaded the trial of ShortHand and have looked at flashtype and saw that it was cheaper, but wondered how they compared to each other.  Anybody use Shorthand and Flashtype and like one over the other.
Question re Flashtype
I just had my hard drive work on and for some reason they added Flashtype. What exactly is this for? TIA
I use Flashtype too. I think it's like $60 and works for me

Flashtype feedback
I didn't see any information on converting my current list of Expanders (for Shorthand) to Flashtype. As I have close to 3000 entries, I'm afraid there's no way I'm going to spend the time to copy those individually and so uninstalled the trial.

Other than that, the template variables looked promising.
Isn't this MTStars FlashType under a different name?
???
You can demo MTStars FlashType and if you want to buy it, it is only $59.95
Shorthand.  Click on the link below.
FlashType works just the same and is quite a bit cheaper.

FLASHTYPE QUESTION FOR NEW COMPUTER

I have a new computer!  Yea!.  Now I need to get all my Flashtype information to it.  What do I need to do?  Do I need to purchase another program for this computer and if so how do I get my stored information from the other computer?  I can't imagine that I would have to retype all my information again.

Thanks

try FlashType offered on this site--sm
great littel program and not expensive. They have a demo version to try.
Neither. I just know these people and saw the post about FlashType

Flashtype isn't working. What am I doing wrong? sm
I downloaded the demo version of flashtype, added some basics into a new dictionary, and opened my MS word 2003.  It's not working.  Is there something I'm doing wrong?  A step I missed somehow?
What are the pros/cons of FlashType, IT, Shorthand

Does Flashtype work in all Meditech versions?
nm
There is no guarantee that FlashType will work in Meditech although
it works in most Windows environments.  It does work in many platforms and all stand alone word processors, email programs, instant messengers.
MTStars FlashType has a free demo and if you like it, it is
about half of the cost of other word Expanders out there.  See the link below.
FlashType works just like ShortHand except is cheaper.

Word Expander Programs - Are there any expander programs that are easy to use and learn
that are similar to the MS Word expander?  I prefer something very simple.  I like MS Word expander; however I have gone over my limits and cannot add any more shortcuts so I need a program that will hold a larger amount of shortcuts.   Many thanks.
FlashType is cheaper and works equally as well as Shorthand and has a free demo.

I received MTStars Flashtype and MTStars Internet Speller!
a
expander
I have been transcribing for 10 years, 4 at home.  I have never used expanders, do they really help, how hard are they to learn and use?
oh yes! must have an expander! I really

like shorthand and they have a free trial period. I've gotten so that I can't type without it. I abbreviate everthing from phases to everyday words. on average it saves me 3-4 hours of typing a day  (according to the stats it gives you).

shorthand and speedtype are the same except shorthand is cheaper because it only has email support rather than phone support. very, very easy to start and learn....highly recommend

Shorthand and ABCZ by Jon Knowles. Together they rock.
