How did they find out about Spheris? sm
Was it the poor quality or did someone enlighten them? Most of work at Spheris goes to India now. I worked for Spheris for 6 years, finally had to quit because all the good dictation went to India leaving the crap. Couldn't make a living. Happened over the course of maybe a year in 2006. Had accounts just disappear. Asked where this account or that account went and they said it was overstaffed or went to the West region (I was in the West region). Then it came out it all went to India. This was 2 years ago. Wouldn't be surprised if they lied to the hospital. Surprised they owned up to it. Of course they're pretty proud of it now so it seems. Hope they get sued for breach of contract.
Curious where Spheris will find MT's..oh yes,

The faster they grow, the faster then fall.....sm
Faster growing trees (soft wood) like pines, Leyland pines, Australian pines and,I would surmise, fast growing poplars -- I have trouble with regular poplars where I live -- are more susceptible to come down during a storm.

You may want to try a bush-like plant such as red tip, which does grow quite tall but stands up better than the above trees.
They think the faster they talk - the faster you type - LOL EOM

Precyse QA
Can anyone tell me how the QA is with this company? I know their QA head person came from Edix and I remember that Edix had gotten to the point you would lose points if you put a comma where they didn't think you needed one.
precyse
How long were you with the other company? My company runs out of work often too. What company are you leaving if you don't mind me asking? I may work for the same! Let us know how precyse works out for you.
Precyse

I don't know anything about this company, but I found the following in archives, hope this helps:

I've worked for Precyse for 3 years and have been in the MT profession for 22+ years.

What I like best about this company: They let me do my job. I chose my shift, I do my job and provide 99% to 100% accuracy on my QA audits, which means they leave me be. I don't have to deal with petty complaints, cherry picking, or jumping around. I have been working on the same 2 accounts the entire time I have been there, which for some reason escapes other nationals what an advantage it is to keep people where they can be most efficient and productive (good for the company, good for the MT). They pay me well and on time, offer bonuses and appreciation gifts. My PC has never been down, so I do not lose time on technical issues---big plus. They don't call me every day asking me to work extra, maybe an Email occasionally, but do not drive me crazy calling or making me feel guilty. In return, they can depend on me to be at my PC when I am scheduled and to produce what is needed.

What I do not like about Precyse: Good question. I'm a pretty happy camper, and that's saying a lot in this business!

I like the fact that I do my job, I'm paid well, and I'm left alone. Computer downtime maybe for 15 minutes here and there, but that is maybe once in a blue moon. I also love their payroll system. They have a system where timesheets are entered online, you can withdraw PTO from your personal account anytime you want to, and you can check online to see what your check will be a few days before it is actually deposited in your account. So you can budget and plan accordingly. Also, great people to work with. Everyone is a team, and management is extremely helpful. I won't paint Precyse as the "perfect" company, but honestly I don't have any complaints working for them.

Precyse

I would rather not name the company I am leaving.  I haven't notified them yet that I'm leaving (the owner is in Hawaii at the AAMC convention) and my e-mail address is somewhat obvious.  I'm fairly new as far as working from home.  I only started from home at the end of December 2004.  Prior to that I worked in-house at a clinic.   When I took this job,  the owner said I would NEVER run out of work.  Unfortunately I have, and more than once.   I will let you know what happens with Precyse.  JW

DSG and Precyse to name 2

Not Precyse. No way, never.
Just thinking about Precyse creeps me out. Managers double dip and transcribe leaving the ugly work for MTs.
Precyse
Thanks for the info! I'd like to start out part-time with a company and then if everything goes well, go full-time. I just don't want to leave my present company in case things are worse elsewhere. :)
Precyse
That is what I did. I was working FT for a hospital and then I thought I wanted to retire and I just worked PT for Precyse while I had my full-time job. I stayed at Precyse for about 1-1/2 years and then got back into a hospital as a full-time employee getting paid by the hour plus incentive. Pauline
EIN - Precyse
Does anyone know the EIN for Precyse Solutions?  Thanks.
Precyse Solutions
I am about to accept a position with Precyse Solutions.  I'm leaving the company I was with because they run out of work too frequently.  I had no work at all last week and I need to pay bills.  Can anyone tell me if Precyse is as great as it sounds?   Thanks,  JW ');>

Precyse is a good fit for me and I plan to stay with them.  It all depends on what you are looking for.  You can Email me with specific questions and I will be happy to tell you anything I can.

I used to QA at Precyse Solutions
and can tell you that the offshore work went through several layers of their own QA and still would have major errors when I got it. I can only imagine how horrible the reports are before their QA edits them.

I got sick of doing QA on the offshore reports and left.
Feedback on Precyse Solutions?

Does anybody know anything good or bad about this company?  I am looking for a good MT employment position, and I have been burned before (by Voice Systems--they don't pay!).

PRECYSE SOLUTIONS---PS MT EXASPERATED--SM

Tonight an ad posted on MT Jobs 03/24/2006 claims tons of work available, yet I know for a fact quite a few MTs have had little to no work for 4 out of the last 6 weeks.  Any current PS MTs out there having the same problem?  If so, do you have any insight as to why?

Precyse. Good, bad, ugly?

thanks!

Any Info on Precyse Solutions?
Just curious if anyone knows what may be happening at Precyse Solutions.  I have heard they are cutting back on their benefits, as in not matching 401K plan any longer.  Is it possible they are being approached by a buyer and cutting back to beef up their profit margin?  I was looking into working for them, but if there is instability there, I'd rather weigh my options more carefully.

Try http://www.softscript.com - never runs out of work.
try softscript
SS hires newbies, you can try them, but BEWARE!!!! I wish you the best. It would be a foot in the door and experience, but be thick skinned!!!!
SoftScript (rip-off)
I am looking for an honest MT position from home.  SoftScript is stealing my lines and I am sick of it.  Any suggestions?????

Yes, amazing huh? The minutes transcribed were approximately 80/90 so it was not like I transcribed a bunch of one liners but what is even more amazing is they actually had the nerve to scold me for being under the daily requirement, imagine that..
SoftScript
You are right, I know this has happened at least twice last month and I cannot tell you how many since I started, the line counter goes down and they tell you to continue working it will catch up and be accurate which I can't see how as it seems not to be accurate when it is working. Don't get me wrong, I do not wish to bash anyone and whether the inaccuracy of their line counting software is intentional or not, I could not say for sure, but it is definitely inaccurate and what started out as a company with management friendly and helpful quickly turned to cold shoulders and snappy remarks. Thank you for your replies

Hi ladies and gents,

I would like to know more about Softscript, so far I passed the test for a QA position and will have my interview today, but the Recruiter's messages sound very rude.

I have a good job right now although I am running out of work frequently. Any opinions welcome.  Miryam.

about softscript

Has anyone worked for SoftScript recently, or no of anyone who has? If so I would appreciate some feedback on them and what they are like.

Thanks

SoftScript
Worked for them 1.5 years and they were great for acute learning at first but thentheydidntpayforspaces and lied and my checks were getting smaller and smaller for the same hours.  I worked to exhaustion to make what I did in 8 hours.  I left.
SoftScript

Can anyone tell me anything about softscript.  Are they a good company to work for?

softscript
They are a terrible company - don't go there!!! Look in the archives for more about this company. I have never seen anything positive about them. I worked there for about a year and it was awful.
Softscript does

whazzup with softscript??? cant seem to get my line count up they keep changing my accounts when i do and give me Dr. asplkgabppsdkgiapdofnb every time.  evidently this is not uncommon.  glad to accept a new position today!!!!!!

SoftScript
I have only been an MT for about 8 months. SS hired me right out of school (though I do have a nursing school background). I am very rarely out of work. I get paid on time. Most of the dictators are good. I have a few that are not, but doing the same ones repeatedly helps to learn their accents. I have no complaints. Management can be a bit loopy, but hey, that can be anywhere you go. Unless an email is directed straight at me instead of GLOBAL I just keep chugging on my merry way.
SoftScript
Does anyone know anything about this company? They have sent me some information on their requirements, but I'm questioning them because I will have to shell out over $200 to start working for them. This doesn't seem right to me, so if anyone can help me out I'd be grateful.

SoftScript
I have to pay for the foot pedal (which is $169) and a medical spellchecker program. I'm just guessing that's going to be around $30 or so, plus I'll have to buy more memory for my computer because I'm almos out, and I am on my computer all the time because I design website templates (personal) and don't have enough space right now. My computer is almost 5 years old.
SoftScript
Run away from them!!!
SoftScript seems different now...
I recently hired on with SS and found it to be quite different than people in the past have claimed. When I came, they matched what I made at my previous place, and I've heard that they give regular reviews and rate increases with a good review. I'm happy as heck! They have a ton of work, and I do real good with OT and all- better than my last two places combined! The mentor I have and the trainer and supervisors all are very nice. I had computer issues early on, but my laptop was beat up. They even helped me get a desktop through Dell. Whatever happened in the past seems to be gone because I like it and the place described here would not have been good for me! I got a bonus for referring a friend, too.
SoftScript
Anyone ever heard of SoftScript? I guess they are based out of CA? Has anyone ever worked for them before? I would like to know more about their platform and pay...
SoftScript
Anyone currently working at SoftScript, what is your experience?  I started there 2 weeks ago, getting error messages like crazy on the platform, can't save reports, losing voice file connection halfway through, after my reports go through QA sometimes they disappear from the system and I get no line count credit.  Nobody at SoftScript responds to emails.  Even my mentor seems to have disappeared.
SoftScript
Does anyone out there currently work for SoftScript? I would like to know how their management style is, how well they pay, etc. THanks.
