Does anyone think this is odd?

My Big Sister (the one who gave me deodorant samples for a present) always has Christmas at her house (since my Mom & Dad died) and she always invites at least 2-3 couples (who nobody else in my family knows). I feel like I'm being anti-social for feeling this way, but shouldn't that day be a FAMILY day? She does the same thing on Thanksgiving, too. I'm not sure why she started doing that, but for me it takes away some of the specialness of the holidays as they all just get drunk together in the main living room while we actual family members huddle downstairs. I know holidays are times to spread joy and happiness to all, but doesn't this seem a bit much? I miss having just the family there for the holidays!
