Listen, stop and then type, then start again, listen, stop, type, etc. I never knew it could be done otherwise--in fact, never gave it a second t hought! :D Some of you must be much faster typists than I ever was, even with my word expander, and I usually listened at normal rate of speed.

You're right, do it the most comfortable and easiest way for you. I was never a fast typist, in fact, slower than average, yet I managed to make a pretty good living anyhow for a good number of years.
