I am not a new MT and I also do my own QA

If you are being paid to QA, you must accept the good with the bad.  Not all MTs are the same, but that does not make them lazy.  I believe that it is all a vicious cycle.  I have seen posts where the MT feels that the QA just totally disregards a blank because they are not listening and takes it away when in fact something was dictated at that point to provoke the blank.  That is blatent misuse of so-called "QA" skills.  QA is supposed to be helpful, not hurtful.  You may want to consider going back to MT work or just "suck it up".  If you are using words like "laziness" and "not taking the time to Google/look it up", then report those MTs to your superiors and let them handle that with the particular MT in question. You are supposed to be supporting and helping that MT.  Have you tried returning a report with the blanks filled-in and asking the MT nicely to maybe take a listen again?  Provide that particular MT with a few more samples maybe.......
