Just keep applying, tweek your resume, with so many applicants they say you should tweek your resume to reflect what experience you will bring to the job rather than you know MS word, computer, dictation skills. Those are a given if you have been doing it. In other words emphasize the places you have worked and what duties you had if you were expected to interface with docs, etc. They say the average recruiter looks at a resume for approximately 10 seconds so that is basically how long you have to get their attention.

Go to all the different job sites and search for transcription jobs, not just the MT sites. Yahoo Hot Jobs, Monster, Career Builder all have transcription jobs listed at different times.

Networking will often times get you past that stack of resumes, if you know someone who knows someone to drop your name to it puts you ahead of everyone answering ads.

That's about all I can suggest, just keep looking and look past the box, sometimes you will find an on-site job for a combination of jobs that pays as much or more than you are making now, it just might not be all transcription duties. I got a job in outpatient QA in a large HMO because of my knowledge of medical terminology anatomy and transcription. I was actually working as an admin. asst/analyst and I loved it, I was still working with medical records, just not doing the transcription. It gave me a nice break from transcription for a few years and also another career path to take. Now I have experience in several different arenas and that is not a bad thing. Remember when one door closes another door opens.
