In a time where holey jeans and a t-shirt that has some vulgar words printed on it, I'd say YES

Woops, meant to say the jeans and t-shirt are fine for CHURCH...

Lots of 'em, but use a Lab Words, Sted's Ortho/Rehab Words, & Tessier's Surgical Words most
s
Those would probably be the LAST words out of her mouth for a long time

Fantasizing with those Bobbie Brooks jeans
Hehehe
No, I like to feel human thank you. I wear my jeans or better.
I am not the type who wants to go around sloppily all day. It makes all the difference in your outlook as to how you dress and your personality.
Duofold longies and flannel-lined jeans

I get that if I wear tight-fitting jeans or shorts and....
sit for a long time. I haven't had that problem since I switched to baggy pants or scrubs while working. Good luck.
T-Shirt
I like the idea too, but do you know that the T-shirt probably have to be ordered from China or Taiwan
Tee shirt.....
I love any idea(s) we all can come up with.  Isn't it strange though, or is it just me, that the world has completely flip-flopped and even the T-shirts we wear are made in Taiwan, Phillippines, Korea, etc?  When did we lose all the control of this great country....oh yes...guess it must have been when I put my head in the sand and "refused to come out to play??"
First Shirt?
Per a listing by "Deborah" on the job seeker's board, I'm just wondering...is "first shirt" a term that applies to a "lead" MT?  I recall in high school when the best performer of each part of our school orchestra was referred to as "first chair", so I naturally am thinking that this "first shirt" designation is just something that I had never before noticed??
First shirt
I do believe that would be first SHIFT, not shirt.
It's two. Look at how it comes out printed... (s/m)
... two spaces between sentences is easier to read and more professional looking. One space is hard to read and amateurish... like what you see in cellphone texting!

Even if they tell me one, I'm still gonna do two - I'd be embarrassed to put my initials on it otherwise.
T-shirt is a terrific idea! Poor little guy. He isn't used
to being so restricted. The cone is making his neck a little itchy and I have to get in there about every half hour to scratch his neck and ears. Normally he doesn't scratch much but I think it's bothering him. I keep telling myself "it will get better."
IIt's a fun show. I printed out the
recipe for the Chipotle pasta that the judges wanted seconds on. I'll make it this weekend.
They were probably printed in India. nm

Printed material
Yes - by the same poster who is now filling the Wicca and Witchcraft boards with spells!
I have the printed version, and it's not very useful. (n/m)

I got the cool T-shirt! Thank you, Sheri. It was a pleasure to participate. SM

I commend you on making the world a better place!

Yes, me too, but I still drop off printed reports
The phone system just makes it easier to track reports, no more broken tapes, etc. Plus, drs like it when they can call with an urgent document instead of waiting for pickup. I was hesitant (old dog not wanting new tricks) but I really like it a lot. It also is more secure as far as HIPAA, each dr has a different log-in and all.
Can buy scrubs anywhere and then take them to a local T-shirt/banner monogramming place. nm

Safe way of mailing printed reports?
I am currently transcribing and printing reports for a doctor, and pay a courier to go back and forth picking up tapes & dropping off printed reports. Have found a way for the doc to easily send me his transcription digitally, but they still want their reports printed and sent to them. The courier is kind of expensive to just deliver reports. Wasn't sure if Priority Mail with Signature Confirmation would be a HIPAA compliant way of sending reports? Or possibly a Fedex option? Does anyone know of a relatively inexpensive way of getting reports delivered (about 40 miles away) that would be safe and HIPAA compliant? Faxing is not an option, as most are printed letters and the fax quality is just not great. Would appreciate any thoughts/ideas at all. Thanks!
We're at 19 1/2 years, and this week he already backed brownies and ironed a shirt for me!

You'll need a lab words book and maybe the Derm and Immunology Words..nm

Religion board/Catholic is full of printed material!!!
Whoa
welcome; i printed it out and have it hanging beside my desk. current AAMT BOS, electronic addition

Does this seem fair? To charge .16 per line - includes printed reports, copies on disk for one year

and delivery.  I do travel twice a week to this office.  Plus, at times I will fax or email the reports free of charge.  I live in Southern California in an upscale area.

Thanks again!

I made a card with a nice close-up photo of hers printed oblong-shaped with a red background, a huge
blank space beside the photo for my message written in silver ink, and some pressed tiny flowers to decorate the edges, then I laminated. She was so proud to show it off to her friends. (You might want to use this idea next year, maing sure you press small flowers first, or you can think of other decors).
Stedmans Med $ Surgical Equip words, Path and Lab words, and Tessiers Surgical Word book (3rd
edition).  I never buy drug books anymore.  Waist of money in my opinion.  New drugs come out so often, it's best to use the web.
The Sted's Ortho & Rehab Words is probably my most used book and then the Lab Words book. GL! nm

Working full time at home with small children is hard but part time works great
is almost impossible. You will either have to work when your spouse is home or for only a few hours during the day and then more when they are asleep. I work part time at home and my kids (2&5 now) have done very, very well. They are great kids, very well behaved, don't get into much. I stop working to check on them/give them some attention every hour or so while I work (5 hours each afternoon or so) and they get all my attention in the morning and at night. It has worked out beautifully for us.
Yeah, our choc. lab does that from time to time - makes it interesting!- nm

Cannot legally require you to commit time to them as an employee and then not pay you for that time.

full-time in office/ part-time at home
I currently work full-time in a physician's office and have started part-time online. My hope is to eventually go full-time online; however that will be done the road for a single mom with a son in college. My suggestion would be try to type part-time for a MTSO and see how that goes i.e work and money with a decision down the road for ultimately being home all the time. A guaranteed paycheck is always a necessity for me. Hope this helps.
I work part-time hours with full-time pay...
I made over 26,000 this year...
Two words -
If she pursues this matter, I'd have a DNA test done immediately to determine whether your son is financially responsible or not.  It's worth the investment.
You took the words right out
Well said!

words, etc.
Has anyone heard of a company called words, etc. from California and their rep, etc?  Been offered position and just double checking.  Thanks!
looking up words

Somebody recently mentioned a site where you can go and put a * in the part of the word that you can't get.  Example:

ap*ectomy = appendectomy.

Can you tell me again where this site is?  It's sooooooooo helpful!!

Thanks!

These were not my words. I merely
copied the paragraphs from a previous post, because the original poster was looking for the item about the "golden handcuffs".  I don't necessarily agree with it.  Just trying to help the original poster find what she/he was looking for.
But they were my words. How many of the
companies mentioned on this board call you within 3 weeks and give you a raise because you are producing high quality work and producing well? (Not a 1/4 cpl, but a 2 cpl raise.) How many tell you about new accounts and give you the opportunity to change if you want? How many have primarily non-ESL accounts with good dictators? How many have a tech support group that does not have an automatic response that everything is your fault and that can be reached almost immediately so you are not sitting waiting, or have a very productive and easy platform to work on? How many times have you gotten a nice letter telling you you are doing a great job? How many actually talk to the owner of the company or something above the level of a team leader? How many get very clear instructions for the accounts? How many provide good samples of the dictators? And yes, I get benefits as well plus bonuses for high production without asking.

The person who referred me for this job told me this is what the company was like, but I was so hesitant because I had worked for too many of the bigger companies and gotten the bait and switch, the cherry picker routine, no raise, horrible accounts, late pay.
Oh, Words...

I am afraid that's one of my problems--thinking I'll wait until the end but then forgotting.  I am trying really hard to pay attention to every detail and then just be confident and let it go!

three words...........
FILE FOR DIVORCE!
2 words...

I have only said these same words for the last
whiney MTSO owners  who want good MTs and only pay 8 cpl.  Baloney, salami, rat's patootie, whatever.  Deliver the work and the pay, and you'll get your reports and maybe even some help when you really need it the most.  PAY MORE SMALL MTSOs, and you'll certainly get more in return!
Bad words
Years ago the doc quoted the patient using the F word. I WA so surprised. I pressed both hands over my ears, as if I hadn't heard it correctly and played it again. I typed it as said. I also remember my spell check did not recognize the F word. The doc also reported the mother to social services.
In other words, you are an

So in other words...
That is the correct price being offered on the exam there. However, we also offer that very same rate here in the US when we run promotions like our current Credentialing Cup.
So are you saying you got -150 words
aren't getting paid for what you DID type?  100 words minus 250 words?  That comes out to -150 words.  Is that what you are saying?  If you got paid for what you typed, I don't see a problem with that...
