I didn't see until after I had posted the article that this initiative was begun in 1998. They apparently just used find/repace to replace AAMT with AHDI for this and other articles on their new website. If they haven't made any progress in 10 years, I guess it goes without saying that its not going to happen. Sorry for the dashed hopes.
