I'm a relative newbie, so when I was hired in -house last year I was not paid as much as the women who had been doing this job for 30 years. That made perfect sense to me and I had no issues with that. UNTIL I started working and realized that of the 3 women I was working with I was WAAAY faster than 2 of them. The third was neck and neck with me and probably a hair faster.
I started to resent the fact that they were paid $5 more an hour than me, but my production blew theirs out of the water. I'm back at home now, making way more than I did hourly in house. I like production. If I don't work I don't get paid. If I work a lot, I get paid a lot.
